Terrible place. They did not let us know that it was a to go place only and kick us out during my friends and I were eating our crepes. They ruined our crepe craving and forced us out in the old with nowhere to eat. They didn't even say sorry or anything. I felt mistreating and robbed from my customer service rights. I will never go here again nor would I recommend this place to anyone. read more

Love the chocolates and very good spot !!! Def a must try and they have vegan waffles and pancakes!

shout out to the two ladies that's working there last night. thank you for not telling me the hot coco was boiling hot next time you guys shoud let them know. read more

I love a good waffle. But unfortunately this place didn't deliver. Waffle was not flakey or crispy at all. Too dense and all you taste is the flour. The over smothering of chocolate didn't help either. But I guess the name fits. The crepe was better but again, too much smothering. read more

Lina and lama are awesome!!!! Thanks for everything this place is the bomb diggity. Hit it up if you got munchies this place will make you dance with no socks upside down with no frown read more

My favorite stop when coming to Newport. Their special drinks are amazing and mini pancakes are very good But the best part about this place is the customer service! The two girls are very welcoming and nice read more

Coffee ain't all that. & The customer service was really bad. Employees were very rude.

I came here tonight with such high hopes!!! Especially because i love chocolate & crepes!!!! However the crepe did not have good flavor or the right texture. It's not even close to a french crepe! I really wanted to love this place but please do not waste your money! i gave it 2 stars because the people were soooo friendly! read more

Chocolate Bash - Best place ever! I tried the waffle with Belgium chocolate and it was amazing. I also tried the cream puffs and they tasted great. - Chocolatiers & Shops Near Me - Newport Beach, California

Me and my friends came here to get the waffles and crepes and we places our order to go. They put in our order and we ended up with 3 crepes instead of 2 waffles and 1 crepe like we ordered. We told the manager and Adriana to fix our order and they wanted proof with the receipt... we just ordered 5 minutes ago. Then they told us to wait 25 minutes because there was other customers AFTER us. They gave us really bad attitude and didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. I asked for the owners contact information and they refused to give it to me, so I had to resort to their website to find it. They gave us our order after 20 minutes and told us to make sure we are sure about order next time before leaving. This is worst customer service I have EVER received in my life and I hope these girls can be trained to understand customer service properly. 1 star for the good waffle, but definitely never coming here again. If you want to be treated irrationally, I encourage you to come here ASAP! read more

This is place is gross. chocolate wasn't even melted all the the way in the plastic cup. And the fruit is far from fresh.

Found this place right next to the place where i rent bikes. My son ran in there and i ran in chasing him..we were greeted right away with a smile. I came back after my bike ride and ive come back twice. The customer service is great and the food is yummy. I got a chicken chipolte creepe and it was delicious. You can udgrade for $1.99 more get a drink and chips which i did. I also got friut bowl i dont recall the name which comes with your choice of fruit and chocolate. The creepe was sweet and savory taste like heaven. The inside of this place is so cute and well decorated kind of small but big enough to grab quick bite. Prices are reasonable whenever im in newport you can find me here enjoying a creepe. read more

My first five star review! I love it here. The staff is patient and kind and the food is delicious. We ordered the lotus sweet crepe with strawberry and cookie crumble. The crepe was at the perfect degree of sweetness and the flavoring was creamy and smooth. Since it was my first time here, the ladies at the cash register gave me suggestions, plenty of time to decide, and a discount. They also let me try the sauces for the crepes to help me decide. 10/10 would come back. read more

If I could give a zero star - I would. Horrible service...the staff were emotionless and looked like they hated working, more concerned about the music video playing on the tv...changed it twice while making our food, slow service, confusing menu - no explanation even when asked - we could hardly hear her from hiding behind the dessert case, cream puffs were microwaved!!! Chocolate fountain wasn't flowing and looked old and hard (except for maybe the bottom of the barrel), $10.00 crepes were served on paper plates (even for dining in) - looked so unappealing...bummed we even paid 50% with a restaurant.com certificate...all of the positive reviews have to be from friends...we visited on a summer weekday around 7:00-ish...the only positive thing I have to say was the availability of parking. Seriously...skip it. read more

This place is so busy but it's so worth the wait. Good food and it's an awesome way of making chocolate taste better . I'm definitely going back again . read more

Came here after being stoned af off an edible and literally inhaled the mini pancakes with Nutella and the strawberry waffle it definitely hit the spot and was amazing. It would be 5 stars if the items were hotter and fresher and if the prices were cut down just a little bit but I understand it's beach front property but it's usually a late night spot so no one comes for the atmosphere. read more

Too overpriced and the product is not meet the expectations for the price. Crepe run an average of $10

Amazingly good crepes!!! First time here and we will definitely be back! We ordered the Belgium crepe with strawberries, and the woman working gave my husband a free cup of fresh fruit and a side of chocolate. Great customer service, and amazing food!! read more

Bad service the employees are unhappy to serve the customers and they charge extra for everything. I was afraid that they will even charge me for the napkins. I would not recommend it for anyone. read more

It's my favourite place to eat dessert, but every time I come it takes too long to do the order! You should hire more people or train them to work fast, and everything will be perfect. Try to work on it so you can get more costumers. Thank you! read more

I very much dislike when a place that sells creeps, doesn't have very good creeps, not the case with chocolate bash very fluffy and on point creeps. The toppings and other desert selections look very good as well, good luck to this establishment hope to see you around for years to come. read more

Ohhh, the dishes here are dangerously delicious. My friends and I stumbled across Chocolate Bash by accident and decided to check it out. We ordered the waffle stick and crepes with chocolate and strawberries. We take our food to go but couldn't resist until we got home. 15 minutes later, both dishes have been OBLITERATED and I double back to get another waffle stick for my husband. I get home, force my husband to stop whatever he's doing ("You gotta try this, honey!") and in 5 minutes the waffle stick is GONE. It's been 24 hours since my last visit and I'm craving for more. Like I said, dangerously delicious. read more

I REALLY want to rate this higher, but this place needs to change the listing of its business hours. Both on Yelp and on Facebook it says it opens at noon on Sat. and Sunday. The menu on the door says they serve crepes and omlettes, but they don't open until 2 p.m. I was hoping to try it for brunch this afternoon, but the place was padlocked at 12:30 and was said to not open until 2 p.m. I was WAY too hungry to wait to eat. Why serve breakfast-type entrees and not open for breakfast? The summer months of Newport beach bums is coming. Many come to the beach early to stake out their parking space and place on the sand. Wouldn't you want to make morning sales? You lost out on my business this afternoon and I was really looking forward to it. read more

New place down near the pier. We had the strawberry milkshake and mini fruit kabob. The mini fruit kabob was so small for $8, the chocolate was good but way overpriced (even for the a tourist area). The milkshake was made with iced milk and not my favorite read more

This was a cute little place conveniently situated near the beach. Their lunch deal is pretty good, considering the general pricing in Newport Beach. I don't understand the rave reviews though, the chocolate is not THAT spectacular and the waffles and crepes are average, but it will definitely quench any sweet cravings as the desserts are very sugary. Overall I have no great bones to pick with this place, but it is not amazing as some other people say. read more

This place has amazing dessert and chocolate. The staff is super welcoming. This is going to be my go to dessert spot. Location is another perk. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I know if you look at my rating, you will be confused. Let me explain. I am a chocolate fanatic. Especially good quality chocolate like they use here! And that is why I totally understand why they charge so much compared to other places. Now the part that annoyed me. And this happened the last two times I visited. I ordered my usual kinder waffle and happily waited for it. When I got it, it was soooo dry!!! Like barely enough chocolate!!! The first time this happened my dad was visiting us and so he went and got more chocolate. But the next time it happened, I went to ask them for more chocolate, and I was charged for it!! Now this is the part I don't understand. They are already charging extra... Then for extra chocolate on an already super dry waffle they ask me for $2!? Nah ah. If the price was lower, I would maybe understand. Since then I haven't gone back. Doesn't seem like its worth the drive. P.S: I noticed there are people who complained about too much chocolate. Maybe they should just ask the person when they order that how much chocolate would you like? Because on things like waffle, you need a good amount of chocolate! read more

I stopped by today to check the place out and this blonde girl, I think her name was Eileen, she was super helpful. I couldn't decide on what to have and she even gave me a sample of all the chocolates and they were really good! Where can I start... this place is just the right place if you are a chocolate addict like me ... fresh fruits and chocolate it doesn't get better. I love the place I always return every weekend. Nutella and Ferrero chocolate convine with fresh fruit in a crepe, this is the place to find it. Thank you for the sweet treat chocolate bash!! read more

The shakes are overpriced 9$ and are made with ice. Definitely NOT worth the price. The mini pancakes and fruit stick is also 9$ and came with 4 mini pancakes and 4 little pieces of fruit. My main review is to say basically that any 9$ shake should never have ICE as the main ingredient especially without a quality blender all you taste is ice. read more

I love crepes and Nutella. Was expecting this place to be really good. Came in and ordered I did not expect it to be 14$. I added extra strawberries they barely put like 4 pieces. And the crepe was so small it wasn't filling or worth that much money. The girls who worked there were nice but they were on their phones the whole time. read more

Extremely tasty! The crepes are smothered in all kinds of chocolate and crafted very nicely. I come here almost every weekend because of the quality of the crepes. The only thing weighing it down in my mind is the workers tend to have a bit of an attitude. Also, the prices are a little too high. But all in all, really good place. read more

Best desserts ever I have tried the mini pancakes, chocolate covered strawberries, and the shakes ! The staff is also always very friendly!
