This place is absolutely amazing. Tried it once and cannot stop coming at every opportunity. Their pancakes are the best, but everything is really good. Their sauces are SO RICH, my favourite is mixing nutella and belgian chocolate. And the service is great. They also deliver through a bunch of apps! Love love love! read more

Amazing, better than sleek chocolate, sleek is garbage compared to here, price was a little higher but it was well worth it, food was amazing but just didn't like get charged $2 for a small bowl of ice cream on the side. read more

So so good! Fun little environment and within walking distance from so much, including the beach!! Fun experience to come with friends!!

Every time we go to Newport we stop in this place. My girls love the cookie butter sauce. Yes, I said Cooke butter sauce!! Super friendly staff. I'm sorry I had to give 4 stars instead of 5 because we went specifically to get chocolate covered bananas and they were sold out. We will make it a tradition to stop in each time we are in town. read more

Very unique dessert selection, open late, great and friendly service... what more can you ask for during these times? I would recommend a stop at this joint. read more

This rating is based on the customer service. I was there in the evening of May 3rd. The girl took my order and was very abrupt and had no customer service skills I ordered mini pancakes and she asked "with?" Instead of "what would you like on that" or something friendlier than "with?" I waited for my order for awhile and noticed another person after me was already given his order. The 2 employees were very friendly to him. In the meantime, I noticed the 2 employees looking at one of their phones and laughing. It seems they were too busy to notice my order was ready sitting there. The mini pancakes were good but the chocolate on them was not a high quality chocolate read more

Crepuchini is the best thing on the menu. The brownie waffle is pretty good too, but ALOT of chocolate!! Rosemary is awesome!! read more

First time here and they have amazing service! Best Crepe i've ever had. Will definitely be returning. Rosemary is an angel!!!!

First off, I don't ever like leaving any review at 1 star. I truly feel like keeping my opinions to myself is best. However this place truly broke my heart. I'm in town visiting family for vacation and work. So we decided we were craving dessert and yelped it. This place came up and it was a 46 minute drive so a party of 6 jumped into our car to go here. This place is extremely small inside which isn't a big deal. It's very dirty, 2 of our crepes had hair in it and grossed out my family members. My son grabbed a can of soda and there was a dead bug on the lip of the can. So to sum things up we drove about 2 hours round trip, spent a good amount of money just to throw away our desserts in disgust. I'm starting to feel like these ratings on yelp are over hyped. BUMMER :( read more

I love Chocolate Bash, and I've been to both the one in Tustin and Newport before. I would highly suggest the food, but tonight the service was terrible. The cashier, a blonde lady with a bun and glasses, was super unwelcoming and unfriendly. She wasn't wearing gloves and I didn't see her wash her hands once. Not to mention that they weren't enforcing masks for their customers but ALSO the employees themselves weren't wearing masks either. I'm all for easing regulations, but COVID restrictions haven't been completely lifted in California and for a food place, I think it's extremely unsafe. read more

Great dessert being from Newport it is nice to have something other than yogurt or balboa bar don't get me wrong a balboa bar is amazing but it's nice to have a crepe and waffle with chocolate all over it. Don't ever close read more

I was so excited to go here. The pictures of their treats were delectable! The final product was also solid...unfortunately the in-between was the problem. Ordering should be a pretty easy process but I think you need to be a rocket scientist to figure out this place. I'm still not sure exactly what I ate as I ended up pointing at something and saying "let me just try one of those." The girls working there seemed to be trying to help but really didn't. Possible that there was a language barrier or something. Personally, if I ran this place I would simplify the process. I would have a list of the main items which seem to be waffles, pancakes, or crepes. Then you seem to choose a type of chocolate. I still don't know what all of those options are. Then I think you can add some sort of a candy bar treat. I'd list these things in 3 categories to simplify the process. Next came the process of them making the items. We did have a rather large group of about 8 items but we probably waited about 25 minutes for them to be ready. During this time we were told the waffle maker was broken(it wasn't) We even tried having them make a waffle stick instead and just not put the stick in it. Apparently this couldn't be done(Chocolate Bash regulations?) May have been some language barrier issues here as well. We did eventually get our items and they were good. I would recommend getting ice cream with your dessert as the chocolate takes over. This would be a nice thing for them to recommend as well but they were obviously not the most accommodating. So, the actual desserts were probably 3-4 stars but the difficulty in ordering and helpfulness of the staff brought this score down. Too bad. Major potential here. read more

Wonderful experience here with my family. Great place if you have chocolate craving. Thank you so much Andrea for the amazing experience. Oh I totally forgot to add fruits to the amazing desserts. I know it will taste better since it is so rich in flavor. My favorite was the Kinder crepes. The crepuccini was very unique in itself. Hoping to try the shake next time. Stopped by earlier at this cute hidden gem on Newport Beach. Let me start by talking about the service. The service is spectacular! Had no idea what was going on but the girls were very helpful with explaining the menu and variety of different chocolate options. We ordered the mini pancakes and crepes. Devoured within minutes! They also sell chocolate covered strawberries which are plump and juicy. My new favorite spot! Will definitely be back. read more

Love what this place has to offer. I tried the mini pancake and the waffel. I give them 5 stars on food. As for drinks I just tried their Arabic coffee, it was good up to two times after that it didn't taste as good! On the other hand I don't like how small is the space and sometimes you don't get a place to set. So make it short next time. As for their customer service it's not that great. For that I will give 3 stars. I would like to change my review in the future. read more

I tried almost everything dessert they have and all of them reached my expectations and beyond i love it. Their Arabia coffee is great and up to tastes. The some of the staff are rude, but the owner of the place she is great and always welcoming . read more

My friend discovered this cute little dessert place right next to the beach. We went there last night for dessert, and OMG, it was amazing. We ordered the Belgian waffle with Belgian chocolate and Nutella and maltesers and kit kat. The chocolate was so delicious. The food here is sooooo yum. The nice thing about their crepes is that even if it's full of a lot of stuff, it's hunger satisfying without making you feel full or like you've over eaten. I had the chicken pesto crepe and it was fabulous. Not too much of any of the ingredients and the chicken tasted really good too with great textures. read more

10/10 love the desert they rlly be bussin bussin and the dripping chocolate wall is rlly pretty and aesthetic

Horrible. I went here last night to get a late night dessert tray of just fruit and chololate. I got there at 10:20 pm and there were only three people ahead of me. They scooped up the precut fruit into the tray and left it out on the counter for 30 minutes because they had to heat up dark chocolate for me which took the girl 20 minutes to do. It ended up taking till 11:10pm to get me my plate. I almost just left without taking my food because I was so mad. They move as slow as snails and didn't say sorry for the wait. I never had someone take that long to hand me a fruit tray. Never going back. read more

I was really really excited to check this place out. It's right next to the beach and the menu looked great! When we went in there was no one inside which was strange because it was 5 on a Saturday. We went ahead and ordered a Nutella crepe with strawberries and ice cream, a cheesecake crepe, and a small fruit dip. It was kind of expensive for everything but we had a half off coupon so it was ok. Everything was going fine until they started making out food. Right after we paid two of the three girls suddenly had to use the restroom and didn't return for about 15 minutes. The girl who made our fruit dip was extremely rude to us when she asked what fruit we wanted. I told her strawberries and bananas and she said it had to be three things so I asked for double strawberries. She was so rude telling me that it had to be three different things even though they told me it was fine when I paid. The food took a long time to be made being the only customers and when we got the crepes they were all wrong. They put strawberries on the cheesecake one and forgot about the ice cream entirely. It was just really disappointing to be waiting for such a long time to only have to go back and ask them for the right things and be treated rudely. While we were eating they were ordering a pizza which seemed unproffesional. I work at a resturant and know that we cannot eat while we work per health regulations so this seemed strange. Then one of them just left to pick the pizza up. I'm honestly surprised these girls are still working here after all the reviews, they just clearly do not know anything about customer service. If you like chocolate and don't mind bad service then I guess this is the place for you. read more

The crepes took about 20 minutes to come out and when they did, there was WAY too much chocolate on the crepe. The crepe was soaked in chocolate that did not taste like nutella, which is what we ordered. I couldn't even taste the fruit or the crepe because of how drenched it was in chocolate. It looks like they dunked the crepe in a chocolate fountain and served it to us. It was impossible to not get messy or have our hands covered in chocolate. Not good. read more
