Fast food Indian restaurant inside a food hall my Lincoln road. We ordered the thali (chicken tikka), panipuri, Bhel, and pav bhaji. Food 8/10 Service 9/10 Ambiance 9/10 There's small seating in front of the stall. The papaddum in the thali was way over cooked and oily, but everything else was good.

Great food and thoughtful service. Indian street food was severely lacking in Miami so this fills a need and absolutely delivers. Wada pau (vada pav) was great. Perfectly spicy. Deliciously fried without being oily. Going back for dinner tonight. Highly recommend!

The food was really freakin good. Wada Pav & Bombay sandwich were both great choices. Pricier but worth it tbh.

The food was authentic, bursting with rich flavors and just the right amount of heat... truly spicy in a way that is often hard to find in many restaurant! Each dish showcased a thoughtful balance of spices, making every bite memorable. The staff contributed significantly to the overall enjoyment of the evening. They were warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was comfortable and seamless. Their friendly approach made the atmosphere feel inviting and relaxed. Adding to the charm was the lively ambiance of the restaurant. The bright, colorful décor and upbeat background music created a vibrant setting perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. It was a place that felt full of energy, complementing the bold flavors of the cuisine. Overall, this restaurant offers a delightful mix of authentic Indian food, excellent service, and a fun, dynamic environment. There are a lot of things on the menu like curries, authentic appetizers, biryani, etc. Options for everyone. The service was average and they rushed us out the door and wanted us to pay while we were still eating because they close a bit between lunch and dinner but it wasn't 3 yet and just felt a little rude. Ambiance is fine but in my opinion it's better as a takeout spot.

Parking was a breeze since they had attached garages with validated parking. Pretty expensive restaurant with a brief menu and not-so-great ambiance for an expensive menu. I should appreciate that the decor was raw, like exposed pipes, unfinished wood furnishing, stainless steel vintage utensils, cooking ingredients, etc. Service was a tad slow. My order: Tamarindo Backyard Pakora Garlic Naan Paneer tikka masala Seasonal fruit lassi Loved the cocktail with the twist of tamarind to the whiskey! Backyard pakora was perfect with crispy batter on taro leaves. So I see where the fusion comes in. Garlic naan with paneer tikka was an instant hit, loved how great the tikka masala was! Seasonal fruit lassi was just a mango lassi but I felt it was fresh! Overall I would totally recommend this place.

A horrible dining experience at Ghee Indian Kitchen…read more The restaurant has a very nice ambiance. The decor is sophisticated and modern, and the lighting is pleasant, perfect for a date. I also liked that the kitchen is open and integrated with the dining room. However, the service was terrible from the moment I arrived. I had an OpenTable reservation and stood waiting over 15 minutes at the host stand. The host disappeared, leaving me standing awkwardly in the middle of the server pathway while servers carrying trays had to ask me to move. I ordered the tasting menu. The snacks were the best part of the night: * Yellowfin Tuna Bhel: Spectacular, the best dish of the entire night. * Samosa Chaat: Quite good. * Green Papaya Salad: Average. * Charred Corn: Good but nothing special. * Crispy Broccoli: Phenomenal, one of the highlights. * Peri Peri Chicken Wings: Good, especially the sauce. However, after the snacks they made me wait more than 20 minutes with an empty table (the restaurant was half empty) before bringing any main courses. The main courses were very disappointing: * Chicken Tikka Masala: The worst I've ever had. Extremely bland. * Kerala Lamb Curry: Very average and completely flavorless. * Dal Makhani: Decent, the only acceptable as a side. * Turmeric Marinated Fish Curry: Excellent, the only main worth eating. * Seed Naan: Served burnt (they replaced it after I complained). The servers mumbled so badly when explaining the dishes that it was nearly impossible to understand what I was eating. In a tasting menu, having clear and proper explanations of each dish before eating it is very important, and that was completely lacking. I also asked four times for the house spicy sauce to two different servers and it was never brought. To make matters WORSE, when a friend stopped by to say hello and tried just two bites of my food, the staff aggressively confronted and pressured me, insisting that he had to pay for a full tasting menu. Their behavior made me feel like I was being scammed and left me extremely uncomfortable. I went very excited to this restaurant because of the great reviews, but it was a big letdown that completely ruined my date and dinner experience.

It was about 2:30 PM Saturday afternoon. It was surprising that the restaurant was empty. As I was reading the menu in the window, a young woman asked if I would like to come in and read the menu. The restaurant is not large, but very nicely decorated. The young lady was part of the family owned restaurant and we had a very interesting conversation while I waited for my food. I ordered chicken tikka, mild, rosemary nan, and raita. The chicken was absolutely deliciously marinated in a variety of fresh spices and herbs, and tenderized by soaking in milk. It was prepared in a tandoori oven, at least it was under the 'tandoori' listing on menu. The flavor was wonderful and melted in my mouth. Everything was so good, even the fresh brewed tea. I can't wait to go back. The pricing is also very reasonable. My experience was even nicer as I got to converse with another family member about their business and Indian cuisine in general. I live in Fort Lauderdale, and probably won't be able to travel down as often as I would like, but I honestly highly recommend Swagat if you like Indian food!

I had a very long workday yesterday, so Larry S. offered to order food for me to pick up on my way home. Naturally, I said ,"Let's try Swagat!". He placed the order online. As I was driving to the restaurant, he followed up that there was a $5 online ordering fee and then someone from the restaurant repeatedly called to advise that they were out of one of the items we ordered. So, we did not start off on the right foot. It was unclear if there was parking (they are next to Tacos vs. Burritos and there is parking lot in between the two restaurants, but it's not clear if the parking is for one restaurant or the other); however, I was able to get a street spot right in front. The food was supposed to be ready at 6:15, and it was! Inside, there was only one table occupied and the door was locked, which was kind of odd. The proprietor came and unlocked it and advised the food would be ready in a few minutes - it was! He explained that they just set up online ordering and there was not supposed to be a charge for that, so he handed me the $5 back and apologized profusely! Say what?! Already I was liking the customer service here! We ordered the following: Lasuni Gobi - Indo - Chinese crispy cauliflower in a garlicky coating KFC - Kerala style fried chicken Kebab Tasting - assortment of kebabs Fish Curry - Goan style Two types of naan - butter and garlic Basmati rice Everything was fantastic! Super flavorful; we ordered it medium hot and could have gone a little hotter, but it's always best to be conservative to start as spicing is subjective. For me, the stand out was the fish curry and the fish kebab. The Gobi didn't travel well and was not crispy at all by the time I got it home. Larry really liked the fried chicken. The crisp stood up to the travel time! The dinner pricing is on the high side, but it was totally worth it as the food was not at all greasy or heavy, and the spicing was delicate and nuanced. My only complaint was that the portion sizes were a little small. For a $120 order, it would have been nice to have leftovers. It looks like they have a good lunch special, plus, they have a $60 tasting menu that looks fire, so we are definitely going back! In all, I thought the food and the customer service were really fantastic and I will always welcome another Indian option!
