    Paneer Chilli

One of the most disappointing restaurants I have ever been to. We waited for 10-15 minutes to get the table and next 10-15 minutes for someone to take our order. Some of the basic items like Papadum in menu were not available. It took them more than 30-40 minutes to come back with order. The service is way too slow. On a Saturday evening there was only 1 server and everyone in the restaurant was just waiting for their food to come! Food was just ok at the best with lot of ketchup in Paneer Chilli. We ended up by picking a Dominos which is exactly opposite to the restaurant.

I literally followed my nose into this place bc the spices that filled the air enraptured me. I'm super picky when it comes to how chicken is cooked and the chicken tikka masala was cooked to perfection. And the naan was crispy and delicious.

First time trying 'Akash' Indian Restaurant in Miami Beach in February 2025. My first impression was the naan, it tasted so yummy. The chicken was a little spicy but also good and the rice was good as well. The service was good too & the environment was good as well. Definitely would recommend this place to people I know who haven't tried Indian food. #getyaindianfoodon #indianfood #miamifl #miamibeachflorida #indianrestaurant #yum

It had been a while since I had Akash but I recently ordered it twice and it was so so good and fresh! I always order delivery and food gets here fresh and warm. My order remains the same - mango lassi, garlic naan, vegetable korma (with basmati rice), and vegetable samosas. Their portions are generous. Prices are a little high but definitely worth the treat. If I ever need to call about my order, staff is nice! Definitely one of my favorite places in Miami Beach!

When you think of Miami, and specifically South Beach, Indian food is not the cuisine which comes to mind. However this place will change you mind. The food was excellent. Flavors and textures layered. Spices added to enhance the taste not just thrown in to make it spicy or crank up the heat. We didn't get too adventurous since this was our first time here. The chicken tikka masala was one of the best we've had anywhere. As was the naan. Service was on point. Ordering to meal presentation was was quick, but not so fast you think they had it in warmer back in the kitchen. Trust, the taste gave away they didn't. The decor and ambiance is pure South Beach. All in white, minimalistic, sleek clean lines. Lighting washes which remind you of the club. Not your typical Indian restaurant that goes all in on the Indian theme. With requisite pictures of the Taj Majal. This place leans into the food. You won't be disappointed.

These are NOT my best pictures but I had to show what the to-go order really looked like. I'm sad I didn't discover this place sooner. Nice family feel to the restaurant and staff. Bollywood videos playing while you wait to pick up. I love it. Mango Curry was by far my fav but all three dishes we ordered to share family style were delicious. Creamy, rich and flavorful sauces. Mild heat on everything (because I'm a baby) and plenty of rice and naan to clean your plate. Don't think there's much else to say - I obviously recommend giving this spot a call.

Well, this is the second time coming here in order to make a change from all the other types of food in Miami Beach and it was very good again. The service is very friendly and professional, and they take the time to explain dishes that aren't very familiar with most Americans. We would definitely recommend this place and intend to come back here again sometime in the future.

One fine day in Miami. Friends traveling from different states decided to have some good Indian food. On recommendation from one of ex-employee at Akash we decided to enjoy lunch there. The ambience was beautiful, clean and following all the necessary norms with respect to Covid19. The manager at restaurant was very nice and greeted us all. Thank you for the hospitality. And so does the servers, the staff was quick and acknowledging. Coming to the food, we had order a good amount of food. Starting with the appetizers, we ordered Samosas which has a tasty fillings and chicken lollipop which was tasty too. For the main course we had ordered paneer makhani, shahi vegetable korma, goat masala and bread. Paneer makhani was nice, but shahi vegetable korma was very mild and feels like salt was missing. I don't have goat masala but my friends were happy with the taste they got in goat masala. Also, they have Indian kingfisher beer which I haven't had in very long time so it felt nostalgic. For the dessert we ordered pista kulfi which was okay! Again, thank you for the hospitality. All the best to the team Akash!

Clean restaurant and kitchen is clean . They have options for vegans and vegetarians. The nan has no egg . The palak paneer was good . Service was good . They add 4% to use a credit card which was not mentioned in the Menu . Never heard of a restaurant doing that .

    Upcharges

The food is good, but be careful of their shady upcharges - 18% minimum gratuity regardless of party size, 4% surcharge for credit card payment, 9% sales tax (other places in the neighborhood seem to charge 7-8%). This feels like a scam.

My favorite Indian restaurant! Everything is so flavorful but my favorite is the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. Highly recommend!

Parking was a breeze since they had attached garages with validated parking. Pretty expensive restaurant with a brief menu and not-so-great ambiance for an expensive menu. Backyard pakora was perfect with crispy batter on taro leaves. So I see where the fusion comes in. Garlic naan with paneer tikka was an instant hit, loved how great the tikka masala was! Seasonal fruit lassi was just a mango lassi but I felt it was fresh! Overall I would totally recommend this place.

A really great mix of flavors and textures. Bhel Puri: A bunch of crunchy things with fresh onions, tomatoes and sauce. Takes snacking to a new level. Paneer Kati Roll: $16 for one kati roll feels a tad pricey. However, it was tasty. The roti was cooked fresh to order. There were a good amount of spicy chopped chilis instead to give it a kick. It was about 2:30 PM Saturday afternoon. It was surprising that the restaurant was empty. As I was reading the menu in the window, a young woman asked if I would like to come in and read the menu. The restaurant is not large, but very nicely decorated. The young lady was part of the family owned restaurant and we had a very interesting conversation while I waited for my food. I ordered chicken tikka, mild, rosemary nan, and raita. The chicken was absolutely deliciously marinated in a variety of fresh spices and herbs, and tenderized by soaking in milk. It was prepared in a tandoori oven, at least it was under the 'tandoori' listing on menu. The flavor was wonderful and melted in my mouth. Everything was so good, even the fresh brewed tea. I can't wait to go back. The pricing is also very reasonable. My experience was even nicer as I got to converse with another family member about their business and Indian cuisine in general. I live in Fort Lauderdale, and probably won't be able to travel down as often as I would like, but I honestly highly recommend Swagat if you like Indian food!

I had a very long workday yesterday, so Larry S. offered to order food for me to pick up on my way home. Naturally, I said ,"Let's try Swagat!". He placed the order online. As I was driving to the restaurant, he followed up that there was a $5 online ordering fee and then someone from the restaurant repeatedly called to advise that they were out of one of the items we ordered. So, we did not start off on the right foot. It was unclear if there was parking (they are next to Tacos vs. Burritos and there is parking lot in between the two restaurants, but it's not clear if the parking is for one restaurant or the other); however, I was able to get a street spot right in front. The food was supposed to be ready at 6:15, and it was! Inside, there was only one table occupied and the door was locked, which was kind of odd. The proprietor came and unlocked it and advised the food would be ready in a few minutes - it was! He explained that they just set up online ordering and there was not supposed to be a charge for that, so he handed me the $5 back and apologized profusely! Say what?! Already I was liking the customer service here! We ordered the following: Lasuni Gobi - Indo - Chinese crispy cauliflower in a garlicky coating KFC - Kerala style fried chicken Kebab Tasting - assortment of kebabs Fish Curry - Goan style Two types of naan - butter and garlic Basmati rice Everything was fantastic! Super flavorful; we ordered it medium hot and could have gone a little hotter, but it's always best to be conservative to start as spicing is subjective. For me, the stand out was the fish curry and the fish kebab. The Gobi didn't travel well and was not crispy at all by the time I got it home. Larry really liked the fried chicken. The crisp stood up to the travel time! The dinner pricing is on the high side, but it was totally worth it as the food was not at all greasy or heavy, and the spicing was delicate and nuanced. My only complaint was that the portion sizes were a little small. For a $120 order, it would have been nice to have leftovers. It looks like they have a good lunch special, plus, they have a $60 tasting menu that looks fire, so we are definitely going back! In all, I thought the food and the customer service were really fantastic and I will always welcome another Indian option!
