We went to Miami for my birthday weekend and went to Bombay Darbar based on my friends recommendation. After going there I realized i have been here earlier. It was 7 of us and mostly vegetarian. The server was fairly new and had no idea about indian food as she was Cuban. So had to keep calling this other guy to ask questions and give any specific instructions. For the most part everything was good except 1. I asked for Old Fashioned with Jefferson Ocean Bourbon and when i tasted it didn't taste like that and when we got the bill it said Jameson. The server was very fast in telling yes we have Jefferson Ocean Bourbon. 2. They should have seasoned indian waiters for at least for those who know about indian Cuisine. Our server had not idea about indian food Like i said overall things were good. My best was Paneer Tikka ( i had to give instructions how it should be may b 10 times) and yes it came out very good. This place Highly recommend this place but good luck with the server you get.
This place never disappoints! Four of us ordered: Garlic naan Paneer naan Mango curry chicken (mild) Tandoori shrimp Lamb pasanda (medium) Moscow mule 2 beers 1 Pelligrino The lamb was the favorite for 3 of us. The 4th liked the mango curry chicken the best. Our server was great and not pushy. She made excellent recommendations and we all left happy.
The service was impeccable! They were very descriptive for first time Indian food consumers. The ambiance is pleasing and quiet. I wasn't sure of anything but the lamb chops. They weren't on the Miami Spice lunch menu for another hour, but the chef "bent" the rules and let us have the dinner menu meal. The lamb meat was a bit soft for my pallet, but tasty. The dessert and appetizer were spot on. I'd say definitely give it a try.
Fantastic impromptu date night! The service was sublime as were the mango margaritas as IPAs. The chili chicken and chicken tikki masala were in our top 5! The service is fast and friendly, the food is hot and the decor is beautiful. Skip the overhyped places and support this gem.
We visited Bombay Darbar in Miami to celebrate a birthday, and overall it was a very nice experience. We had pre-booked a table for a group of seven, which made the seating process easy and smooth. The atmosphere was lively, and the surrounding area was beautifully decorated, adding to the festive feeling of the evening. Our group ordered a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Although I'm vegetarian and didn't try the Chicken Biryani, everyone who had it said it was flavorful and well-prepared. For the vegetarian options, the Paneer Tikka stood out--it was nicely marinated, tender, and had a great smoky flavor. The paneer curry we ordered was also delicious, with rich gravy and soft paneer pieces. The Dal Makhni was creamy and yummy , and the naan was fresh and soft. For dessert, we had Gulab Jamun and Kheer, both comforting and satisfying. The Gulab Jamun was warm and syrupy, while the Kheer had a nice balance of sweetness. They celebrated birthday with clapping and singing. There were more people in restaurant having birthday. Everybody enjoyed food and get together. The service was good--staff members were attentive and polite throughout the meal. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience and a great place to celebrate a special occasion.
Great for coming with a group and sharing a bunch of items. I came here with a friend who grew up in Bangladesh and said this place was really good! I loved the curries and all the sauces that everything came in. All of the entrees came with a side of rice which soaked up all of the flavor! Everything came out hot and was all delicious. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was night out vibes that we all loved. I had heard about this place and had been wanting to try it for a while and am so glad I finally got around to coming here.
This restaurant hooked me from the first bite, sparking a lifelong love for Indian food that no place else has matched. Theg naan alone stands out like no other , so fluffy, perfectly charred, and so genuine it transports you straight to the streets of Delhi. It's buttery layers that melt in your mouth. My all time favorite dish is the mango chicken curry, nails the balance of rich, flavorful, with just the right spice and no overwhelming sweetness it's pure perfection every time.

Loved the decor, bright pink lights, the ceilings was beautiful, the whole place feels upscale! We were quickly seated at our arrival! I had called earlier about making reservations, they said not required but highly recommended! So I'm glad I made reservations as the place was packed for a Sunday night! The service was great! There must've been 2-3 guys providing attentive service to us and it felt great! No waiting around to flag someone to help you, they were very visible, very present, and friendly! No complaints there! Our main server Sebastian was great! Now for the food...everything was delectable! The food tasted amazing, the aroma so tantalizing, and the taste so full of spices with a kick of heat. All made to order as you wish between mild, medium or hot! We opted for medium and it was perfection! I would even venture out and get something spicy next time! The medium heat was not hot at all for me, so next time I'll kick it up a notch! The lamb Roganjosh was so good and the mango chicken curry so delicious! The garlic naan was great! The dessert Ras Malai made with condensed milk was very light and refreshing and not too sweet! I can't wait to try other dishes!
Bombay Darbar offers your favorite and favorites you didn't realize you had for dine-in or take-out. Our recent take-out order didn't disappoint. The entrees chicken vindaloo, lamb vindaloo, and chicken korma all had a tapestry of flavors from all the wonderful spices. Unlike some Indian restaurants that skimp on the rice, plentiful rice was served with the order and unlike restaurants that serve their takeout in plastic or paper bags, Bombay Darbar let's everyone know how special their food is by providing a reusable insulated bag which keeps the food nice and hot for a long time.
A true gem in the grove is this Indian Restaurant, one of the most beautiful Indian restaurants inside I've seen so far , we made reservations because it was a Sunday Holiday . They sat us down pretty fast we had in mind most of what we wanted to eat. We started with Mango Lassi and Arnold Palmer. Our appetizers of Tandoori chicken wings were yummy tender spicy goodness, so were the vegetable samosas crispy outside and tasty chopped veggies inside love the side tamarin dip sauce. The Lentils soup is my daughter's favorite was great . We both loved the butter chicken is scrumptious delight a must try perfectly seasoned with authentic Indian spices. The tandoori chicken tikka was tender delicious goodness It was definitely delicious it was one of my favorites . All Nann bread's were definitely good specially the onion, and the cheese filled oh the Mango ice cream is definitely the best I've had anywhere sweet tasty real mango taste . Saip our server was good he kept on top of things though , he took for ever to bring us our ticket but , we all agree all the food was Delicious, Yes for sure we will be back again for sure .

The restaurant was fully occupied, clearly very popular, though the space feels a bit tight with so many customers. We ordered vegetarian dishes, and everything was delicious. The paneer tikka and daal tadka was outstanding and highlight of the meal. All dishes were flavorful and well prepared, and we truly enjoyed the food. They packed our leftovers very nicely. The staff was welcoming and attentive despite the rush. Restrooms were neat and clean, which is always appreciated. Overall, a very satisfying dining experience.
This is simply a review based on Doordash order. I've been a longtime fan of Bombay Darbar since before they moved into their new larger location. Personally it's one of the best Indian Restaurants in the area and arguably the best in my opinion. And this new location has even more room. When I came across a special on Doordash for them for BOGO Butter Chicken I had to place an immediate order. To no surprise there was plenty of to go orders when I came for pickup. But as my experience has normally been with Bombay Darbar they are always on point not only with the food but also the service. They had a quick in and out process and handled everything extremely smooth. Even though they were busy with restaurant service and to go orders it didn't phase them. The food was as always spectacular. I can eat their Butter Chicken 365 days of the year. My doctor may advise against it but who's listening to them. Overall an amazing Indian restaurant that's doing Doordash and providing amazing deals. Highly recommend trying this place if you haven't already.
Very disappointed in the food. It is built for the American taste with no Indian authenticity. Also the prices are abysmal for the quantity. Service was quick and friendly. It's a beautiful space with extensive seating indoor and outdoor. However the star of the show, the food, was amiss The mango lassi was not fresh and tasted like the mango lassi poured from a gallon. It was definitely old. The naan was not soft and more chewy. It was also tiny Both curries were extremely oily. When asked to make one spicy they literally dumped spicy curry powder without regards for taste. The paneer makhani also had a little coloring to it. Will not be returning and would not recommend

We walked in on a Sunday afternoon and got sat right away. We had a wonderful lunch and were very pleased with all the different options on the menu. I had the Miami spice menu which consisted of the Chicken 65 starter, Tandoori Shrimp and Kheer Brûlée. The sauce on the chicken had the perfect amount of spice and was so juicy. Along with the chicken we also got vegetable samosas, which were so flavorful and crispy. The tandoori shrimp came with a side of rice and garlic naan and was very delicious and generous in portion size. We also ordered the chicken tikka masala entree which paired perfectly with the garlic naan and was our favorite dish. The kheer brûlée was a perfect way to end the meal; it wasn't overly sweet and the combination of flavor and texture made it a really satisfying treat. To drink we had a mango lassi, which was creamy and refreshing. The restaurant itself was beautifully decorated, and all of the staff was so welcoming. Our waitress was so attentive and helpful, which truly made our experience great. Overall a delicious meal with a nice variety of flavors. Will definitely come back :) read more
It's a week after that glorious business lunch and I still have Tikka Massala on my Mind! I had heard of this place forever and finally had the opportunity to eat there. Their lunch specials are the equivalent of Bento Boxes Indian style. Small portions of carefully seasoned and curated Indian delicacies along with naan, roti, samosa and dessert all for $17. It's like the original Miami Spice menu at a most reasonable price. Next time I'll try the Tandoori Chicken, or the Mango Chicken or any of their Vegetarian options. YUM-YUM read more
Delicious food. The aroma and smell when you walk in tell you that you are about to get something good. We got the chicken tikka marsala and the lamb. The flavors were popping. The food was amazing. We went to this place since we were craving Indian food after spending a couple of days in Miami. The place is big and has good amount of seating. The staff is courteous and the ambulance is nice. We ordered lamb, curry, and naan. The food was not that great and the curry lacked flavor. I would recommend someplace else for Indian food. This place is over-hyped. Don't be fooled by the good reviews on yelp. read more
Good Indian food. Restaurant is located in a nice area in Coconut Grove. Once inside, it's a lot bigger than how it looks from the outside. The decor inside is pretty nice. I had the Butter Chicken and a side of Garlic Naan. The chicken was good with the right amount of spice. For dessert, I had the Pistachio Kulfi. If you'd like to have Indian food and get away from all the noise in Miami, this is a good restaurant to check out! read more

We celebrated our anniversary at Bombay Darbar and was overall pleased that we had chosen this restaurant to do so. The service was fantastic- all servers and staff were friendly, offered a variety of suggestions, and helped make the dinner experience very enjoyable. The food was good, although we found some items - specifically the tandoori wings , could have been improved on. Cocktails were good too. Overall, a great Indian dining experience and a nice outing. The interior is very trendy and had music and a full bar. read more

Had a great dinner here. It hit all the right notes. I ordered the Lamb Biryani, Tandoori Chicken, and Butter Chicken, and each dish brought its own kind of magic. The lamb in the biryani was super tender, and the rice was perfectly spiced--fragrant, flavorful, just how it should be. The Tandoori Chicken came out sizzling, full of smoky, and charred goodness. And the Butter Chicken? Creamy, rich, with that perfect sweet-savory balance. It's one of those dishes that you could probably eat with a spoon and be completely happy. The staff was awesome--super friendly and really on point with everything. Water refills, timing, checking in but not too much--they just made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Overall, this place totally delivered. Great food, warm service, and a cozy vibe. read more
If you like Indian food, you most def should give this place a try!! We ordered delivery from this location and it was incredibly yummy! The Veggie Pakora and Veggie Samosas were still crispy on the outside and the dipping sauce sauces were delish!! We had their Butter Chicken (medium) which was creamy, savory and just spicy enough! The 2 apps, garlic and regular naan, and the Butter Chicken dinner was plenty for my fiancé and I to share! You'd expect to pay a lot more for the quality of these dishes -- seriously, some of the best Indian I've had in Miami. Definitely recommend this location!! read more

In my humble opinion, Bombay Darbar is the best restaurant in Coconut Grove. From the service, location, food, you can't top it. Inside is spacious and nicely decorated, I love the lighting as well. Our waitress was spectacular, I wish I asked her for her name. And the food is delicious and reasonably priced. I've been coming here for years and will continue to do so. I love them! read more

The Indian food here is always top notch. I sampled the Miami Spice lunch menu and enjoyed it all. I sampled the following - Appetizer - Tandoori Chicken Wings. The taste was there, however they were not as charred as I would have liked them to be, so therefore lacked in my opinion the tandoor magic. Also to be noted I found a tiny piece of foil (aluminum) on one of the wings. I told the management, and he kindly discounted this from my check, which I appreciated. Main - Butter Chicken with rice and a garlic naan. I liked the fact that you could choose either a plain naan or a garlic one. The butter chicken was rich, tasty and hit the spot. A wonderful dish. The white rice was beautiful and fluffy. Dessert - Gulab Jamun, these are the traditional Indian deep-fried donuts. They were served with a wonderful rose and almond syrup. The rose taste was evident which I loved. Jamun All in all, a lovely meal. A star knocked off for the service which was a bit hit and miss and for the foil on my wings and lack of charr. read more
FINALLY! Found a traditional Indian restaurant pretty close by and very authentic! Like always ordered pretty much everything in the menu from the tandoori wings, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, chicken curry and the sag paneer! Place was super clean, people were very tentative and the parking was easy well... FOOOD 1-10 FIRE 9! Ambiance was a vibe for sure we sat outside but the inside was nicely decked out. Bombay Darbar knocks it off the park every single time I go. From the service, to the ambiance it's a coconut grove staple that just gets it when it comes to 5 star hospitality. This Indian Restaurant is home to one of the best biryani, butter and chicken tandoori you'll get in the 305. Its authenticity and richness in flavor are truly to a whole other level. I crave this spot so often, it's one of my go-to spots! read more

Incredible evening and Bombay Darbar my first experience with Indian food in Miami. The service was phenomenal. Wonderful recommendations. We started with spicy cucumber 21 seeds Tequila Margarita with tajin, so delicious andrefreshing. We started with the vegetable samosas crunchy, soft inside savory perfectly seasoned, the garlic naan had little chunks of garlic baked into it not overpowering, just perfect, and onion kulcha: was also super delicious, outstanding flavor, came with a mango chutney sauce. Couldn't resist getting the TANDOORI CHICKEN WINGS: Chicken wings Marinated in yogurt, herbs and spices and cooked in clay oven... absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back for just this dish alone but wait, there's more. BUTTER CHICKEN Boneless chicken breast marinated and cooked in creamy tomato and cashew nut sauce LAMB BIRYANI Savory soft basmati rice with chunks of lamb, perfectly cooked melts in your mouth! Both of these were able to be made mild so perfect amount of spice. Another friend ordered the SAAG PANEER Traditional Indian cheese, simmered in a mixture of fresh spinach, onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic and Indian spices. They loved it. I couldn't really enjoy it because it was very spicy for my taste even though they ordered it medium. The place itself is beautiful decorated the lighting the music so very welcoming. We shared everything, but there was no room for dessert, and a few other things I wanted to try, will definitely be back. read more

Meeting in the Grove...decided to go to Bombay Darbar. It's been years...but expected and received a good meal. Miami Spice menu was presented along with regular menu. Decided to take advantage of this special. Enjoyed fresh salad, chicken chili, broccoli, rice, naan, chia tea, and donuts. Great service. Loved the carry-out bag. No valet or validation to park - paid $14 in Mayflower garage. read more

There are vegan options, they are marked in the menu with a green leaf. Theres also an entire section of vegetables entrees.

There are lots of meters around the restaurant as well as the garage.
