Finally, I find a really good Indian food place in Miami! I definitely have high standards for Indian food and I've tried a few spots around the city, both low end and high end and so far this place is definitely my favorite. Don't let the exterior or interior fool you, the food is really really good. I tried four different dishes, including The Indo Chinese dishes, and they were really excellent. The flavors were strong and fresh and some of the dishes tasted homemade. I loved the presentation even though it was all takeout as well. The service is fast and the people are friendly. This will definitely be our go to Indian food restaurant going forward. You all have to trust me on this one, definitely check this place out!

    Paneer Makhani

We were craving Indian food so we ordered delivery from Bombay Corner for dinner last night. First of all, the food was very well packaged by the restaurant, which I greatly appreciated. Even though the driver had another stop on the way, the food still arrived fresh and hot. The samosas were simply excellent. They were crispy on the outside and filled with flavor. Some of the best samosas I've had in a while. The garlic naan was likewise fresh and delicious. The paneer makhani was a bit unusual. I have eaten a lot of paneer makhani but I have never had one quite like this. The sauce was quite thick, the consistency almost similar to a chunky marinara sauce. I actually liked the flavor, but if I tasted the sauce blind I don't think I would have guessed that it was makhani if I had 10 guesses. It wasn't really creamy either. The paneer was tasty, but would have liked to have a little but more. Though it certainly wasn't bad, I probably would try a different dish next time (and hopefully there will be a next time)!

I cannot believe this restaurant has been right around the corner from me and I didn't even know it. It just happens to be that a friend of mine orders from here on one of the food delivery services. We were driving by and he saw the sign. We actually ate in the restaurant (they have like 2-4 tables only), which was great. The service was awesome, and the food was even better!!! The Samosa Chaat was delicious, as well as the Tandoori Chicken Momos. Their Garlic Naan was great, and their Ghost Pepper Cheese Naan even better. The Butter Chicken was great, as well as my dish, which I can't remember the name of unfortunately. This is a definite must try!!!

A non descriptive place with good food and good people To begin with, the server is polite and gentle A small, two-table restaurant, mainly take out. We ordered Eggplant Bartha, a vegetarian dish, with a smokey taste, delicious and light. Also Chicken Biryani, traditional dish, spices just right and a yogurt sauce that cools down the heat of the dish. Oh, and Garlic Naan, need I say more?

Ordered a few dishes to try and they were ready in 20 minutes. Every entree comes with a side of rice. I did not enjoy the rice it was very dry and bland. For entrees I ordered butter chicken and chicken tikka. The butter chicken was a little to sweet and chicken tikka almost had a hot sauce flavor. Overall food is OK not amazing. I was expecting more but maybe I ordered the wrong dishes. I will try it again and have some other items.

My fav Indian spot. Authentic and consistent every time I order from here. Chicken tikka masala Indian hot is fire. It's rlly spicy but I love it. Their garlic naan is amazing. I've previously ordered the Chana masala and toondori chicken, also good. Yum

A horrible dining experience at Ghee Indian Kitchen…read more The restaurant has a very nice ambiance. The decor is sophisticated and modern, and the lighting is pleasant, perfect for a date. I also liked that the kitchen is open and integrated with the dining room. However, the service was terrible from the moment I arrived. I had an OpenTable reservation and stood waiting over 15 minutes at the host stand. The host disappeared, leaving me standing awkwardly in the middle of the server pathway while servers carrying trays had to ask me to move. I ordered the tasting menu. The snacks were the best part of the night: * Yellowfin Tuna Bhel: Spectacular, the best dish of the entire night. * Samosa Chaat: Quite good. * Green Papaya Salad: Average. * Charred Corn: Good but nothing special. * Crispy Broccoli: Phenomenal, one of the highlights. * Peri Peri Chicken Wings: Good, especially the sauce. However, after the snacks they made me wait more than 20 minutes with an empty table (the restaurant was half empty) before bringing any main courses. The main courses were very disappointing: * Chicken Tikka Masala: The worst I've ever had. Extremely bland. * Kerala Lamb Curry: Very average and completely flavorless. * Dal Makhani: Decent, the only acceptable as a side. * Turmeric Marinated Fish Curry: Excellent, the only main worth eating. * Seed Naan: Served burnt (they replaced it after I complained). The servers mumbled so badly when explaining the dishes that it was nearly impossible to understand what I was eating. In a tasting menu, having clear and proper explanations of each dish before eating it is very important, and that was completely lacking. I also asked four times for the house spicy sauce to two different servers and it was never brought. To make matters WORSE, when a friend stopped by to say hello and tried just two bites of my food, the staff aggressively confronted and pressured me, insisting that he had to pay for a full tasting menu. Their behavior made me feel like I was being scammed and left me extremely uncomfortable. I went very excited to this restaurant because of the great reviews, but it was a big letdown that completely ruined my date and dinner experience.

Backyard pakora was perfect with crispy batter on taro leaves. So I see where the fusion comes in. Garlic naan with paneer tikka was an instant hit, loved how great the tikka masala was! I came upon Swagat by chance. What a lucky chance! I love true Indian food, so when I saw the…read morerestaurant, I immediately stopped. I parked on the street right in front of the restaurant. It was about 2:30 PM Saturday afternoon. It was surprising that the restaurant was empty. As I was reading the menu in the window, a young woman asked if I would like to come in and read the menu. The restaurant is not large, but very nicely decorated. The young lady was part of the family owned restaurant and we had a very interesting conversation while I waited for my food. I ordered chicken tikka, mild, rosemary nan, and raita. The chicken was absolutely deliciously marinated in a variety of fresh spices and herbs, and tenderized by soaking in milk. It was prepared in a tandoori oven, at least it was under the 'tandoori' listing on menu. The flavor was wonderful and melted in my mouth. Everything was so good, even the fresh brewed tea. I can't wait to go back. The pricing is also very reasonable. My experience was even nicer as I got to converse with another family member about their business and Indian cuisine in general. I live in Fort Lauderdale, and probably won't be able to travel down as often as I would like, but I honestly highly recommend Swagat if you like Indian food!

I have driven past Swagat many times on my way home from work, and as Indian cuisine is one of my…read morefavorites, it has been on my list to try. I had a very long workday yesterday, so Larry S. offered to order food for me to pick up on my way home. Naturally, I said ,"Let's try Swagat!". He placed the order online. As I was driving to the restaurant, he followed up that there was a $5 online ordering fee and then someone from the restaurant repeatedly called to advise that they were out of one of the items we ordered. So, we did not start off on the right foot. It was unclear if there was parking (they are next to Tacos vs. Burritos and there is parking lot in between the two restaurants, but it's not clear if the parking is for one restaurant or the other); however, I was able to get a street spot right in front. The food was supposed to be ready at 6:15, and it was! Inside, there was only one table occupied and the door was locked, which was kind of odd. The proprietor came and unlocked it and advised the food would be ready in a few minutes - it was! He explained that they just set up online ordering and there was not supposed to be a charge for that, so he handed me the $5 back and apologized profusely! Say what?! Already I was liking the customer service here! We ordered the following: Lasuni Gobi - Indo - Chinese crispy cauliflower in a garlicky coating KFC - Kerala style fried chicken Kebab Tasting - assortment of kebabs Fish Curry - Goan style Two types of naan - butter and garlic Basmati rice Everything was fantastic! Super flavorful; we ordered it medium hot and could have gone a little hotter, but it's always best to be conservative to start as spicing is subjective. For me, the stand out was the fish curry and the fish kebab. The Gobi didn't travel well and was not crispy at all by the time I got it home. Larry really liked the fried chicken. The crisp stood up to the travel time! The dinner pricing is on the high side, but it was totally worth it as the food was not at all greasy or heavy, and the spicing was delicate and nuanced. My only complaint was that the portion sizes were a little small. For a $120 order, it would have been nice to have leftovers. It looks like they have a good lunch special, plus, they have a $60 tasting menu that looks fire, so we are definitely going back! In all, I thought the food and the customer service were really fantastic and I will always welcome another Indian option!
