I went to Dr Cho for the first time 09/14/2017. I have a front tooth which chipped years ago...I'd say about ten years. The tooth was bonded and like any bonding it doesn't hold forever. So, last week the bonding came off and Dr Cho replaced it. However, the very first time I flossed my teeth, the same day the bonding was done, it came off and went flying across the bathroom counter.
I knew there was a problem soon after arriving at Dr Cho's office. He demanded to take full x-rays despite the fact that I requested he focus only on the chipped tooth, in the essence of time. There was no reason he needed to x-ray my entire mouth at this visit. Long story short, by the time he started my bonding it took him approximately fifteen minutes. When he was done he didn't even offer me a mirror to look at it. He rushed me out of the room to usher in the next patient and I thought okay fine he got it done. It looked decent enough, so not a huge deal. I was wrong!
I spoke to him the next morning and he refuses to fix it. He proceeded to try and talk me into spending 700$ to put a crown on. Sure, a crown would be nice, but not at all necessary. The last bonding held a decade and there's obviously a reason his came off in one day. Again, I explained to him that I just wanted him to fix the bonding but he flat out told me to find another dentist.
Furthermore, I go back to the x-rays. Dr Cho did as much as he could to run up the bill to my insurance and now refuses to stand by his work. He literally demanded he take a full set of x-rays even after I asked him to focus solely on my chipped tooth on this day. When I told him I would be coming to pick up those x-rays he said he can't release them to me which I know to be untrue.
Absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable. I'm shocked as to the blatent abuse of this so called provider. I don't know what recourse I have but I intend to now figure that out. I would strongly recommend not letting Dr Cho touch your teeth. One more tid bit . .they use a machine to cure the bonding (help it harden faster) and I know from experience it usually has a guard to protect your eyes, I believe, but his does not. I've been to other dentists who will use a hand held guard. Dr Cho did nothing of the sort.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. I wouldn't ever bother to write a review unless I had an especially positive or negative experience. I'm sure you know which this was. read more
