I love Peruvian food and couldn't wait to try this spot. When I arrived I found parking a few blocks away. I walked into a cozy restaurant. The owner Carla helped me and my friend. We ordered: Peruvian corn Rotisserie chicken shrimp stir fry beef stir fry sandwich Flan Passionfruit pie The food was very good. My favorite dish absolutely was the shrimp stir fry. It was super flavorful! All in all I had a good experience!

I really enjoyed this chicken shop which felt reminiscent of a chicken shop I visited in Peru. One reviewer had said they found the chicken dry but I did not find that to be the case. I was excited to see Manzanita and Inca Kola available for purchase. While the fries pictured on the sandwich board appeared authentic, the actual fries that I got were more Americanized though still good. Green sauce and garlic sauce were both good. I thought the prices were economical - believe I paid $13 for a plate of food. They also sell rotisserie chickens to go which is great for a quick meal at home.

This spot was so perfect for a quick lunch or dinner spot! I picked up my food and it was ready in about 20 minutes. I picked out the chicken empanada and the spinach & cheese empanada for $4 each which I thought was a steal! The cheese was so perfectly stringy and melted and the chicken was so juicy. They were so so delicious and I definitely recommend. The people were also really sweet and gave me extra sauce! The one negative was that I wasn't notified when it was ready which was a bummer, luckily the food wasn't cold or anything so that's good, but it would have been nice if I was notified when it was ready. Other than that everything was delicious and the service was great! Definitely stop by whenever you need a fast pick me up! Pros: yummy food for a good price, lovely staff, pretty quick make time Cons: website did not notify me when ready

The billboards or if you want to call it signs that were on the sidewalk are what drew me into the restaurant. I would've by passed it if it wasn't for those. It was very decently priced out especially for the area. I definitely had to check it out. The line moved fairly quickly. But I didn't like how the people who came to pick up cut the line. I ordered the quarter roasted chicken that comes with two sides. The portion size was good. I chose white rice and salad as the sides. They gave plenty of those and I was impressed by that. The chicken was alright a bit on the dry side. If they didn't give me the spicy sauce I would have thought it was too bland for myself.

I placed my first pickup order from Chirp and had a pleasant experience. The eatery is small, looks clean, has nice decor, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I placed my pickup order and it was the Chirp Chicken (Rotisserie chicken, sweet plantains, lettuce, tomato, green sauce, on a chibatta roll). I throughly enjoyed the chicken and that it wasn't fried, the green sauce was very good and I enjoyed how it got soaked up by the bread, and those sweet plantains are MY FAVORITE! However, I could not keep the burger together. I had to enjoy it with a knife and fork, but I didn't mind, at all. I preferred it that way, anyway, and it was delicious. I also ordered, but forgot to take a photo of, the Passion Fruit Pie. The Passion Fruit flavor, combined with the pie crust, made this a good choice and is recommended. I will be adding Chirp to my lunch go-to list and I recommend it to every Yelper.

Got takeout. Overall, I enjoyed the food, and service was good when I picked up. 4 stars instead of 5 cos I would say for me the food was good but not stellar, though I think the sauces were quite good. I tried the white, red, and green - the green was my favorite. The mushroom fried rice was tasty, the mushrooms were quite sweet, I'm glad I added the chicken to round out the taste profile. The beef empanada had a good crust, not bad but maybe a bit underseasoned for my taste. The salchipapas were nice to have with the sauce but of course were hot dogs and French fries ultimately. The fries got kinda soggy my the time I got home, no surprise, but just noting for those getting takeaway. The passionfruit pie was not as tart as I was hoping, but it was pleasant. Overall pleased with the experience. Thanks, CHIRP!

Great place if you want to stop and grab lunch during the work week! Got the 1/4 chicken and 2 sides. I got tostones and a side salad. The salad was absolutely delicious i was thankfully suprised the tostones were good as well and the chicken tasted very juicy. I got a side of garlic sauce which was perfect addition

Great authentic tasty Peruvian food. Amazing service, very friendly and sweet. They took their time with me and my co workers since we were there for the first time. I love the vibe of the place it smells like a nice grill cooking up our food with bright lighting good vibes and good music. Will definitely go back. Everything was cooked to perfection. The seasoning was on point.

Squash Stew - very good! Fragrant and flavorful.

I can't believe I have been walking past this place the past few times I've worked I'm the city. My family and I LOVE Peruvian food and they're located on my way to work, right down the block! After seeing their little sign on the corner, I decided to try them out. My first chance was with lunch that the manager at my office bought for me, for being a spectacular healthcare worker *cheese*. I opted for the quarter chicken with two sides. I went with maduros and the squash stew. First of all, the food was delivered quickly and was package with good intent. The took care to ensure that everything was safe during travel. I forgot to ask for green sauce but they made sure to pack one for me. The first thing I tasted was the chicken. It was so good. Peruvian rotisserie chicken a the best rotisserie in the world. I love it. Theirs falls off the bone. The meat is so well seasoned and the skin is the best part. The maduros were exactly how I like them, a little caramelized in color and flavor. I love a char on a sweet plantain. That's how my mother makes them. Next, I tried the squash stew and you came immediately smell and taste the hint of ginger they got going on in there. It's so good! I love the tender pieces of squash and the peas and carrots floating around in the broth. Last, I tried a bit of the passion fruit pie and it really does taste just like passion fruit. It's uncanny. It's not too sweet and it reminds me of a key lime pie or flan consistency. Looking over the menu, they are very inclusive when it comes to vegetarians and others that don't eat meat, with shrimp and vegetable options. CHIRP will probably be my go to whenever I'm in the city. The price is on trend with Manhattan lunch pricing but a filling meal will only set you back $15. I only wish that you could pay an upcharge to get their fried rice as a side with their combos, instead of just white or brown rice. To be fair, they do have a long list of side dishes to choose from but I love my some chaufa Oh, and get that green sauce! It's amazing and THICC!

Cafe like seating Somehow, you can't go wrong with Peruvian Rotisserie chicken and CHIRP certainly has it. Check out their menu for all the Peruvian goodness that you might be craving...BUT The customer service was terrible. They take your order and could care less about how long you are waiting. This was our experience with the cashier. She couldn't be bothered. Other than her, we saw another girl dashing back and forth between putting orders together after picking up from the Grill in the back. It's not her fault she couldn't properly attend to us because she was just so darn busy. It's a small business but there is Cafe like seating available. Aesthetics are actually kind of cute but not overly so. Every time we passed by they are always serving some kind of Special. There is only one gender friendly restroom that I didn't get to check out because someone was always in there. Not sure I want to come back here to satiate my Peruvian cravings.

Loma saltado was delicious. Large portion for the price. The chicken was also moist. Must put green and red sauce on it. Service was fast. Small with maybe 4 tables.

Probably the best rotisserie chicken I've ever had. The skin was perfection and the flavor was incredible. I could dine on the skin alone. I was worried that the 1/4 chicken wouldn't be enough but I was satisfied. My two sides were beans and brown rice. Unfortunately the sides are the only thing that stop me from giving this place a perfect score. In my mind, rice and beans are one side, not two. It's almost like charging extra for the bun when you order a burger. So I felt like I was shorted a side. would've loved to have gotten maduros or tostones to complete the meal. unfortunate you can't have rice without beans in my opinion, so those were my sides. Other than that I enjoyed my meal. I spent about $13 on it. The brown rice was ok, about as well as brown rice can be. I wish yellow rice was an option. The beans though were great.

And let's just say... the house won. I ordered a Chicken Sandwich, Spicy Wings, Fries, and the 3-sauce flight. The sandwich? Dry, old, and looking like it clocked out an hour before I arrived. The chicken itself was hard on the edges and somehow soggy in the center -- a combination I didn't even know was possible. The mayo situation looked like someone whispered the word "sauce" over the bun and walked away. The Spicy Wings were no better -- overcooked, dark, and tasted like they'd been sitting in the warmer since lunchtime. Not spicy. Not fresh. Just... tired. The fries? Burnt, cold, and absolutely done with life. They didn't even pretend to try. The only thing that saved this meal from being a total loss was the 3-sauce flight. Credit where it's due -- the sauces were actually solid. They added enough flavor and moisture to make the rest at least edible. Without them, this review would've ended a lot sooner.
