We initially wrote a very good review for this company because we liked Alex, the salesman, and of course the vehicle he sold us. Alex was a young guy and we were happy to encourage him in his career! It was a used vehicle and needed new tires shortly so we went to a tire shop to get new tires for the truck. The mechanics there spotted oil leaking from the rear differential and alerted us. We took it back and the lead mechanic, Trevor got right on it and expressed that the vehicle should have never left the shop with the issues he found. Fortunately we had purchased an extended warranty which took care of everything except of course the deductible , but our truck was in the shop for more than a month - there kept being one issue after another. They took care of it all then, but now just 2,000 miles beyond the extended warranty period, we have an oil leak which of course they can't cover now. Our disappointment isn't that there were issues with a used vehicle so much - it was used after all, but the attitude that came through the warranty guy now, making excuses instead of owning their stuff like a man like the mechanic did. Come on guy, customers aren't out to "get" you. They just want to sense that you feel their pain at least in part. So don't make excuses, just own your stuff and continue to own it as a company and try to get better. No one wants to have their "new to them" vehicle back in the shop languishing for over a month just weeks after they purchased it. We like our truck. There is VERY MUCH that we like about it, but when we're deprived of it for 1 entire month plus out of only 13 months of ownership there's something wrong with the picture. I share this updated review now because it is the only recourse the public has for protecting themselves. And yeah, we do look out for each other. I have only ever written a few negative reviews. Bryce was the guy who helped me. A couple things about him-arrogant, rude, dishonest, and cocky. Was considering purchasing a vehicle from them. Upon video inspection, it was revealed it has mismatched tires, and needed a tpms replacement. I was told I cannot have the vehicle held with a credit app and appointment set up. I live 3 hours from the dealership and like most Americans work a 9-5 job. My hours physically wouldn't allow me to get there but I was willing to take the next day off work to come sign but was told the car can still sell from under me without a $500 deposit. The vehicle was priced 1500 over book value and I said I'd be willing to pay that provided the vehicle get delivered to me at no cost, the sensor fixed or a set of matching tires. Of which Bryce said no, very rude and cocky. Lost a sale because this dealership literally lied to me, advertised free 250 mile delivery, and won't come down on an overpriced vehicle that they "just passed on fixing" a bunch of things. I had a pleasant experience when I purchased my 2022 CX-30. Ryan was very pleasant, knowledgable and efficient. The rest of my experience, well, it has been a less than desirable. I purchased the Package A-Total Protection, the Diamond Fusion and the Gold Maintenance package. I was told it would be 2-3 weeks before they could get my car in for the protective undercoat. 8 weeks went by and I decided to contact the service manager and request a refund as I didn't want to keep waiting around. Well, they were able to schedule me promptly. When I went to pick up my car, there was an item missing and I inquired about it the following day. Of course, it was nowhere to be found. I asked the service dept manager if he could possibly view the video recording since they record everything. He couldn't (how convenient). He said maybe I took it out. I didn't. It was a $50 sunglass case I had just purchased. All 5 pairs of sunglasses that were in it, were placed in a cardboard box on my backseat. I don't care if it was a $50 or $5 item, you're a business. When I took my car back for the "complimentary" oil change, I was sure to take every single thing out of my car before bringing it there. I recently inquired about the extended warranty and the Gold maintenance package since I don't feel comfortable doing any further business with the service department and I am not about to drive to St. Paul to get oil changes. I find out that my complimentary oil change was taken off my maintenance package. I am ready to say goodbye to Mazda's. I would rather trade my car in and go with a dealership I feel comfortable going to. I shouldn't have to take anxiety meds just to get an oil change. I was contacted by Alisha Tran from the finance department. She stated she could send me the Diamond Fusion applications; however, she couldn't refund the 13 remaining applications. I agreed. I was fine with her sending them to me. I hadn't heard anything for almost a week so I decided to inquire via email. Never once did Alisha reply to either of my emails. She did, however, send me the Diamond Fusion after that last email I sent. Of course, Chippewa Valley Mazda didn't affix adequate postage on the package so I had to pay my post office $2.94 to even receive my package. Just one thing after another. Never received so much as a phone call, an apology, or $2.94 ... I will never recommend Chippewa Valley Mazda simply because of the service department. I would not recommend purchasing any of their additional services. It has been such a headache dealing with them. Lack of communication, lack of knowledge, lack of ethics ... I could go on and on. Great service! I've been quite stressed looking for a vehicle since it really wasn't something I was ready to do but was forced to do since my car was totaled in an accident. I was looking for a specific vehicle and Morrie's had 2 for me to look at that I had found through various websites online. Such good deals I really had to consider making the 1.5 hour drive to see them in person since I am really the type that need to see and feel before I buy, especially for such a large purchase. We were met outside by Melissa as soon as we were pulling up and she welcomed us and brought us inside to find out more about what we are looking for. Once we told her what cars we wanted to look at, she got the keys pretty quick and we were on our way to test drive. Melissa knew her stuff and made the experience very easy and worthwhile. She even sat and talked to us for about an hour while we were waiting for the approval and for the signing. Her and others checked in on us every once in awhile to make sure we had coffee or water and were being taken care of. Next, we also met with Scott who helped us get through the paperwork and on our way. Very knowledgable on our vehicle and made it easy and painless with the paperwork. The staff is great to work with, this is a busy spot and I can see why! they really take their time to get to know you and make sure you are taken care of. Morrie's is not commission based and I like that because it makes it feel like they are truly taking care of you versus pushing on a more expensive option that you may not want or need to look at. Well, I guess they'll have to deal with the DOT and BBB now, and not sure how much a crap review will do in the grand scheme, but I hope if you're looking for a car you'll consider going absolutely anywhere else. If I could give negative stars, I would. I have bought vehicles from Morries in the past with little to no issue. Somehow, when I went to lease a vehicle through them, things turned nasty. They took WEEKS to do the pay off on my trade in. They failed to do the plate transfer that I paid them to do. They failed to put the car in my name. That resulted in me getting pulled over and ticketed for not having everything taken care of. Then they proceeded to give me the run around when I called to solve the issue of it not being titled in my name. It has been a fight literally every step of the way. Buy happy promise my ass. Bought a used car here. Not impressed. Went to change the brakes today and what do you know. Locking lug nuts with no socket for them anywhere in the car. On top of the fact that there is no spare tire how is a guy supposed to take care of a tire issue on the side of the road. Stupid. Called them up. They tell me they can schedule something to get a socket ordered. Why should I have to pay for service and tools when it should be in the car. We go through everything they say. Bull. Bought a Saab 9-5 2010 in August and was pressured to buy the "extended warranty" from Auto Advanced. I asked John in sales if this would be worth my $2,000 and he assured me it would. $8,000 and a few months later I realize this is one of the biggest scams every. They only offered to pay $2,000 of it and when both the Saab specialist and I called we were given disdain for being "stupid enough" to sign a 15 page in 8 font print contract. Do not buy the extended warranty from Morries Mazda. These days you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Had the sales rep at Morries been more forthcoming, I would only blame myself. Of course I signed. That day I signed 5 documents with 15 pages each. This is the reason why I relied on John's experience with this. We bought a vehicle (over $36k) from this dealership earlier this summer. There were a couple things wrong with it (that were missed by technicians during the initial inspection) that the dealership agreed to fix. They had our vehicle for 2 weeks, fixed the issues and gave us a loaner to use during the time (hence the 2 stars). Fast forward another couple weeks and we had to get our vehicle in for an oil change. During the inspection at our local shop, it was noticed that our rear shocks are leaking fluid, had been for some time, and will need to be replaced. After calling the dealership to relay this information (after only actually having the vehicle to drive for approximately 4 weeks) the manager basically called our shop liars and refused to take any responsibility. Our quote to repair what needs to be repaired is $2200-$2400. This is not something that should be an expense to us after having the vehicle for only 4 weeks. Shame on you!! We live in Florida and took our car in for an oil change. We are here for a few weeks and it was time to have the regular maintenance taken care of before driving back. We wanted them to check the brakes as well. The guy who checked us in was really nice and listened to our concerns. In addition to the oil change they did a very thorough check of the various car components and even texted a video to us to better explain what they checked. It was determined that the brakes were fine. Their honesty was very much appreciated as we were ready to get them replaced. They had a shuttle service to take us home and pick us up while the service was done. We had a different driver home and back and they were both really careful and courteous and interesting to chat with. If we are ever in Eau Claire again I would go back. Very disappointed in this dealership. Test drove a car. Wrote a personal check for the car (yes I know,) Contract I signed did not match the contract sent to my lender. Worst return phone call service ever! Finally got all that figured out. Fast forward a week and a half after that hassle.... Noise in one of the back wheels, took car into a reputable shop, that also had two other Morrie's vehicles waiting for service, brakes under 20%. Then received my title in the mail, my lender should have gotten the title. Called, spoke with James, this was Friday the 9th, said he'd check into it and call me Monday....today is now Thursday, still haven't received a phone call. So I'm assuming they filled out the first paperwork incorrectly. AND, my car is still making noise. They do not inspect their vehicles well at all. Took their shop 3 days to return a phone call. I went in there to trade my car in which I had previously bought from Morries in Minnesota. I found a awesome deal on my soon to be car and talked with Jake for trade in. Jake was super awesome in making me feel comfortable with the trade in. He was very friendly and even helped me take out my cables that I installed to connect my subwoofer! Everything took a little time just so I could get the best approval. I was approved and was more than overjoyed. I cleaned out my old car and left my belongings in the parking lot while I signed papers. I was there for about 5 hours. It didn't seem so sure at first, but Thanks to Nate doing some talking with the banks, I was actually able to leave with the car!! The car had a chip in the windshield which I had originally asked for $500 off so I could replace it. They said it had been filled and it should be fine. I was on my way home with my new used car! I realized the next day that I was missing my portable battery charger which I had left my belongings outside.... I took my car camping that following weekend, then noticed the chip turned into a crack. I called Jake on Sunday and he told me he would be sure to see what could be done and look for my charger. I get news a day later and they tell me to bring the car in to have the windshield replaced for free along with they had found my charger! The chip had not actually been filled yet because the scheduled appointment for the car was after the day I had purchased it. It worked out in my favor! When I came back to have the windshield replaced, everyone was super friendly. I got dropped off at the mall in a super nice Benz while I waited. Then Jake picked me up in a nice Lexus :) customer service at Morrie's has always been above and beyond! While driving back to MN the oil level light came on saying the oil level was low. I had to buy two quarts of oil as soon as I got back to MN. I'm having my car looked at tomorrow through a friends car shop and will update then! The BIGGEST and only problem I have is this.... I bought my previous car from Morries for $7,200 with a $2,200 down payment in October 2015. Now July 2016 I trade my car in and they only give me $2,500. I know I would have been able to sell my car for at least $5,000. That car was in excellent shape!!! :( I would give five stars if I got at least $3,800 for my baby :( Overall they proved to me exactly why I returned to Morrie's to buy my next car. Their mechanics were not able to diagnose a simple problem and sent the car to the cities via a wrecker for a simple starter replacement. Which was one of the first problems identified by googling the symptoms. A place where a big BUYER BEWARE sign would be most appropriate. Customer service doesn't exist here! read more

Be careful with their warranty and buy happy promise. Towing is not covered more than a few miles away. Rental or Loaner cars are not covered until they actually decide to get the parts and work on your vehicle and it takes them over a day to fix. I was out of a vehicle for weeks even though I paid over $3,000 for the warranty. What a sham!! The SUV I purchased broke down and left my family stranded several times and they don't even care. They offered us $6,000 less than we paid 6 months ago and we are out $3,000 for the warranty. Horrible company!!!! Buyer beware please. The overall experience with the sales department was good. At times the whole buy happy business seemed a little plastic. The finance department gets a big fat F. When I went to this dealer I was pre-approved through a local bank with a APR of 4.2%. I made it very clear when I went in. The sales manager insisted they could do better than that and did not listen regarding the fact I already had financing lined up. Once it came time to sign paperwork the Finance manager told me they sent an application to the bank I said I was pre-approved at and it was denied. Today I contacted the bank I was working with and they said they never received anything from Morries Mazda. I feel like I have been lied to and taken advantage of. I am now stuck with a APR of 15.9% and having to go through the headache of refinancing this vehicle with the bank that I originally wanted. I really got the feeling these guys are more interested in there own benefit V.S. the benefit of their customers. I highly doubt I will ever return to this dealership again. I walked into Morrie's after I saw a car I wanted in their website. I said down with a salesman and he asked if I'm financing or paying cash, I said Cash. The vehicle was $10,155. After a few minutes of talking about the vehicle I said what kind of price can I get if I'm paying Cash. He said they're not commission and price is non negotiable blah blah blah. So I asked if I pay asking price can they get the vehicle tinted ($180 value) the salesman said they don't think they do that so asked the salesman next to us. The salesman he asked looked confused by the question so I said, "I'm buying a vehicle Cash and can you guys hire someone to tint the vehicle" he looked at me like I was fucking stupid and said, "ughh no". So I said I'm a nice way, "we'll I'm not going to say you will lose a sale because you won't tint the vehicle but you could" his exact response was, "thats ok". So they're ok with loosing a $10,155 dollar said over $180 tints. So I said ok and left. Fuck Morrie's with non negotiable. You're the first "dealership" I've ever been to that doesn't fucking negotiate on price. I'll never go back. read more

Worse buying experience of my life!!! I'm usually pretty laid back and don't get flustered too easily. The salesman and the finance guy were good to work with, however, when I drove the 2006 Chevy home, the same night the power steering kept going out intermittently. It continued to do this over the course of the next several days, doing it 3 times one night on the way home from work to pick up my son at daycare. In order to get it to work, you have to pull over, shut off the car and start it back up again to reset it. I took it back in multiple times...they couldn't/wouldn't identify the problem. I finally was able to trade out for a different vehicle, a 2005 Chrysler, thanks to their very ironically titled "Buy Happy" program. That weekend, on a trip to the Green Bay area, the power steering goes out on this car too. The next week, they took the car back in...We had to beg for a loaner to drive while they fixed the broken power steering line. Do they inspect these used vehicles before they put them out on the lot? Now, nearly 2 months later, the manager calls me and leaves a message to bring in the title for the Chevy, which I assumed was taken care of by them when the Chevy was swapped out for the Chrysler. The manger tells me that if I don't return the title ASAP that he will be reporting the Chevy stolen! Mind you, I have paperwork transferring the vehicle back to them and taking ownership of the Chrysler. I do not have the Chevy. As a matter of fact, the next day after returning the vehicle to them, they put the Chevy back on the lot for sale. Did they fix the power steering issue before putting it back out for sale? Apparently the Chevy is still titled in my wife's name. We assumed that the paperwork that we signed to transfer the Chevy back to them and to order the title for the Chrysler took care of everything. When we received a title in the mail a few weeks later, assuming that paperwork got crossed in the mail, I tossed it away. No one said, "oh, by the way, you will be getting a title for the Chevy in the mail, please return it to us." Now, almost 2 months later, the Manager is threatening me with reporting the vehicle stolen! What a joke!!! If you want a better buying experience, don't believe the "Buy Happy" promise, because you just might be driving away with that same Chevy that will loose power steering at a critical time. DO NOT BUY A CAR MORRIE'S! BUY HAPPY IS A LIE!!. A few months ago, my daughter purchased a 2010 Chevy Equinox from Morrie's Chippewa Valley Mazda. Since she purchased the car she has had to replace the battery and the starter. She has had electrical problems such as the radio turning on and off whenever. One morning she went out to start the car and the new battery was dead. She had to pay someone to charge her battery and the person said the problem with the electrical could have caused this. Shortly after purchasing the car she had stopped at Morrie's to talk with them about the car. She received no help! She was told the car was purchased as is! Sure she could have purchased some sort of maintenance plan at $100 a month but she is a single mother with two children and she does not make alot of money. Now the car stops running when she stops so she keeps one foot on the gas and one on the brake so the car will not kill. To solve this problem she will have to replace the timing chain, costing $1200. If she does not, she might have to replace the engine which would be about $5000. BUY HAPPY IS A LIE!!! He showed me features I didn't know about and I thought I was an expert. I tried to leave bad reviews on their Facebook page but of course they have to approve what goes on their page so that people can only see the good reviews. We have had nothing but a horrible experience with Morries Mazda. They have had Dusty's Jetta for the last three months! He ended up needing a new motor, but thankfully it was still under warranty. Over the last three months they have never reached out to tell him about the progress, offered a loaner car or anything. When he confronted them multiple times all they could say was sorry it's not done yet, idk what to tell you. Pretty sure that's not an ok answer and we talked with Ken Vance who told us that is completely unacceptable time frame. They clearly don't know what they are doing, as they aren't a Volkswagen dealership. He took the car to them because he bought the car from Morries. They should have had it shipped to ken Vance or someone who could fix and make it priority. We have still been making payments on the car and paying insurance over the last 3 months for a vehicle we can't use. Thank god we have a spare. What would someone who doesn't do. How horrible! To all my friends this is not the first bad encounter with them and we will NEVER deal with them again.
