What I liked: Friendly people. What I didn't: 1) Charged $80 for code reading, even though I TOLD them what the code was AND it was plugged in while I was telling them that. 2) Took repeated calls over three days to get status of the repair. 3) Tech guy didn't seem confident and the "repair" didn't fix the problem. In fairness, going to the Dealer is rarely the most optimal choice to have the work done at a reasonable price, but when the "check engine" light comes on it seems like the prudent thing to do. This might be a good place to buy a car, but I'd advise going elsewhere for Toyota repairs. read more

We ordered a new Camry in Sept of 22. At that time we asked about financing and were told that their finance team would be sure to find the best deal for us. A similar car became available in Sept of 23, so we agreed to buy it. I handed the sales person my personal bank loan rates. She thanked me and when she returned she said the best rate was through Toyota at 8.8%. My bank was 6.5%. If we decided to finance this way we needed to make at least 4 payments. We had waited 54 weeks for this car. At that point we decided to just take the car and make the 4 payments. My point is: We should have been told initially to do our own banking, instead of being assured of the best rate would be found. Just be upfront. read more

My first oil change after the dealer's first five was a disaster. I had to use a rubber mallet and large ratchet to get the drain plug and filter housing off. I called the service department to complain and the service manager said that they use a torque wrench and a crush washer. No crush washer and severely over torqued. Fail. read more

When we drove the van it was on Friday night & we said we wanted to buy the vehicle. Our banker was not available Sat morning, but the salesman said he would not sell it from under us. We got everything together (financing and multiple phone calls with Markquart) and we're back down there on Monday. We felt like the car was sold out from under us because we chose not to finance with you but went through our bank. You guys even sent a purchase contract to our bank! My husband arrived down there with a check (for the EXACT amount you guys had told us and our bank). John, I purchased a 2021 TRD Pro at a Minnesota dealership who informed me that they cared more about repeat customers than charging more than MSRP for hard to get cars. This is my first new car EVER and I have to say that finding out about this business practice has left a very bad taste in my mouth about your business and what its priorities are. In my mind charging over MSRP is unacceptable he needs to stop. It is unfortunate that you are standing by this business practice and doubling down on it. Which I think the public needs to know. I purchased my first new car for my wife a month ago and I have a second new car for myself coming next year from the same dealership i have informed my wife's co workers and mine all who work in medicine about where to get their next new / used car. I want to say that Amie Nirmaier as saleperson at this dealership provided great service -- a 10 out of 10 -- to make this cash transaction happen. But after a telephone discussion with Doug Miller in the organization I rate him a 0 and I also move my overall grade to a one star, the lowest one possible. I would think the dealership management would keep Miller away from any discussion that requires "meet and greet" skills. I had paid cash for the vehicle for a relative going back to college. Mr. Miller was very rude and argumentative in telling me the dealership policy on vehicle delivery and electronic transfers of cash. One of my relatives later said that ironically, Miller had done a poor job with a purchase he made on a Toyota Prius at that dealership. This looks like Mr. Miller has some sort of inside track with management; maybe he married the bosses daughter? In any event, I will never deal with Markquart Toyota again. read more

I came into the dealership to test drive a couple new Tundras with no real intent to buy, but to basically check out which truck and options would suit me best. Even with no intent to buy, Chuck treated me great and answered all my questions. He did not pressure me a single bit. When I say there was no pressure, I mean throughout the entire 2 hour experience, Chuck never put me on the spot. He never asked the age old ? "if I can work the #'s can we get you into something today?" I notice things like that and it's greatly appreciated. I left the dealership thinking 1. The Tundra is the absolute hands-down, no questions asked, best full size truck on the road. 2. Chuck is the best salesman I have dealt with in my 10 years of buying vehicles. my wife bought our 2017 highlander LE Plus in for oil change and rotation .She asked if someone could help her install the scout GPS Link from her I phone to the vehicle. She was told that our vehicle was not equipped to accept the scout GPS link. She came home and told me. I said something isn't right because we were told when we purchased the vehicle that it was scout GPS ready. I just called the dealer where i purchased the vehicle and was told yes your vehicle is equipped to handle scout and we will be happy to help you in any way to get it set up. i guess maybe they just didn't want to spend the time to research if our vehicle was compatible. read more

I just bought a used RAV4 at Markquart Toyota, and it was a breeze. It was a comfortable, stress-free transaction working with John West and Josh Zuleger in Sales. John was so helpful and friendly and even found floor mats for me when the car I bought didn't have them (this is after the sale, folks). Lesson: make a reservation! I called before going making sure I didn't have to make a reservation and that my maintenance plan would apply. I was told I didn't need a reservation and my maintenance plan would apply. When I arrived, I got questioned again about my maintenance plan and took over 1/2 hour for them to figure out. Follow-up: not only did the finance manager not care about getting our paperwork right, and got a little snarky when it was pointed out, the lien portion of our title was not processed. (Which I learned from my credit union today.) So now I must spend more of my time and money putting the lien on our vehicle title. If this arrogant, incompetent finance manager, Doug, still has his job, I recommend you save yourself some time and money and find another dealer. So disappointed, brought my 2014 Rav4 in for service for the 20,000 mile Toyota Care and on the paperwork it stated that oil change, tire rotation and inspection was completed. The next morning, my tire light came on and after checking the pressure all my tires had between 25 - 27 psi and the paperwork stated that it was set at factory recommendations.......hmmmm, psi on the tire says 44 psi max. I also looked at all the lug nuts on my wheels and noticed that my tires were never rotates, which now makes me believe the oil was never changed as well. Called the service Dept and they were going to speak with the mechanic and call me back.........I'm still waiting for that call 2 days later. read more
