Complete Incompetence! Avoid this shop…read more I am from Minnesota and my vehicle broke down in Elk Mound. I had my vehicle towed to Dennis's Auto Services. Big mistake. He had my vehicle from Wednesday, September 16th through end of business on Friday, September 18th, and had no clue what was or is going on with it. He managed to throw a few pieces at it in a attempt to fix it, but no results. He still cannot tell me what the problem is. Any competent mechanic would be able to identify the problem in 2 full business days, and a few hours of another business day. Dennis did not like being questioned as to what the problem of my vehicle was. His response to nearly every question was, "I don't know." I spoke with Dennis multiple times on that Thursday and Friday checking the status of my vehicle, which clearly was not a priority for him or his employees. Dennis could provide me with no timeline as to when my vehicle would be done and he could not, or would not provide me with an estimate (probably because he is so incompetent and had no idea what was going on with me vehicle). I spoke with my local mechanic who advised me to tell him to put the Suburban back together and have it towed to a different shop in town. Unfortunately, this was at the end of the day on Friday. I did so, and for a Intake Gasket, Oil Pressure Sensor and Oil Pressure Filter and NO DIAGNOSIS of the problem, he billed me $356.63. It is now Monday, September 21, 2015, and I will be contacting a different auto repair shop in Menominie to complete the disaster Dennis and is incompetent staff started to pick up my vehicle and fix the same. I was having issues with my Chevy sonic, car was shaking when I accelerated and what sounded like a…read morefan going and a loud knocking sound. Andrew serviced the transmission but the knocking etc was still present and the check engine was coming on. Brought it back to Andrew and he said the sensors and seals are the issue so had them replaced, still didn't solve the problem. I brought it to tms tire and had Andrew come out and hear what I hear and he said he's never heard the knocking, which I disagree with what he said, so he had hooked it up and the code came back as the engine!! Andrew doesn't do engine's he says so I took it to a auto shop in eau claire and I was told that my engine is shot and needs to be replaced!! I had spent 3,000 up to that point and it was always the engine. I was taken advantage of by having things fixed and/or replaced that really didn't need to be like the seals and sensors; the problem the whole time was the engine!! I won't be doing business with them after learning this. I had to get rid of the sonic because I can't afford the repairs and bought a 2020 vehicle in eau claire. Andrew was always nice and I felt he would be honest with me on the problem with the car and I don't feel he was with me. Disappointed
