This Wayne location leaves a lot to be desired. I asked for two al pastor tacos and the first employee put a teaspoon of pork on each shell. Then I requested sour cream on each taco. That employee slopped a huge glob of sour cream on each taco. It was disgusting! She couldn't even fold the taco without the sour cream spilling out of the taco. I told her that and she got a paper towel and started wiping the sour cream from the sides of the tacos! Then Chipotle has the audacity to charge me over $12 for two tacos? Really??? If you want delicious Mexican food at reasonable taco prices, try Buena Onda, about a mile from Chipotle. You won't be disappointed. read more

The service wasn't bad. The service was non-existent. No employees were up front. After a minute or two one came out. Avoided eye contact and started frying taco shells. This is THE WORST chipotle I have ever been to. The rice was cold and unseasoned, they got my order wrong, and it took forever. I feel comfortable writing such a negative review because, to prove a point to some friends, I had the same order from the Wayne and Ardmore chipotles sitting next to each other. The Ardmore chipotle blew the Wayne chipotle out of the water and was the undisputed champion. Fast food is supposed to be quick, highly scalable, and easily replicable. Terrible service. I ordered through the app and arrived at my pick-up time to find a crowd of people in the store waiting for orders, some complaining that they'd been there for over an hour. I should have just left at that point, but I'd already paid for my food through the app and didn't see an easy way to cancel my order. The whole reason I order ahead for pick-up right now is to avoid being indoors in a crowded space with other people for longer than it takes to grab my order and go. Instead of being able to grab and go, I ended up waiting 20 minutes after my pick-up time for my order to finally be ready. As I waited, I overheard several conversations between employees about how they were running out of food. After hearing those conversations, I wasn't surprised to get home and find that my burrito bowl was missing the sour cream. I guess they ran out and instead of letting me know so I could substitute or cancel my order, they just left it off and hoped I wouldn't notice? So, a 20-minute wait just to get an incorrect order. By far the worst service I received at a chipotle. Typically great quick service but today was definitely the exception. The female cashier had her back to me on the phone in the corner. She realized I was there and asked me what I ordered (if she was paying attention she wouldn't ask). She didn't ask if it was for here or to go. I asked for a basket and she didn't even acknowledge me. When asked again and said it was for her she said "you should have asked him for one" I guess referring to the gentleman who made my food. My partner bit down on an avocado stem in our guac, we brushed it off but then I bit down on ANOTHER stem so hard my teeth and mouth hurt. Three stars for the food, cause it was really good, even though my tacos were pretty soggy by the time I got back to my office. Would have eaten in the restaurant, but the tables were all taken, and it seemed to me that there were only a few tables to begin with. Somehow felt like half the restaurant was missing or something. I couldn't help but notice that the bathrooms took up a lot of room! They should have utilized the space a little better or something. Anywho, I'm not an architect or designer or whatever. I just didn't like it much. Anyway, it was totally packed and sooooo loud - but I sort of expected it since it was a Friday after all. I was already stressed out when I got there and was even more so by the time I left. From what I could tell, the staff was very pleasant, but I very literally couldn't really hear a single word they said. Except for the guy that saved me from eating tofu - looked like taco meat to me, and he was about to put it in my taco shells, and then decided he better doublecheck with me... LOL. I guess I don't look like a tofu-eating kind of chick. So overall the food was good, but the ambience was seriously lacking. I'm glad I finally tried the place. And I will be back. This Chipotle has definitely improved. For years it was possibly the worse location, bad food quality, missing ingredients, bad employees, but I don't know whats changed but the food quality has improved, and the online orders seem to always be done on schedule. read more

I'm a strong advocate for chipotle but this location has given me one too many issues. They're always out of something, whether it be chicken or cheese or guac. Once I waited 40 minutes for my online order of 3 burritos (not even during busy hours.) The servers are always incredibly rude about it too. Thankfully, they usually compensate by giving you a coupon for a free entree for your next trip. They do this by taking the manager's card and writing his initials on it. This is exactly what happened to me a few weeks ago. Today I came back with the card to redeem it. They accused me of forgery and told me it wasn't valid. They said they don't have an employee with those initials, but I picked up the location's business card sitting in front of the register, which had the manager's name: Joshua Watts. (Picture attached below of a blank card I picked up today from the register.) I showed it to them and pointed to the "JW" written on the card. They then proceeded to claim that it wasn't his exact signature and again accused me of forging it. I will also mention that when we walked in, there were no employees to be found. One woman had to get up from her lunch break to take our order, and the other male employee only came out from the back to say they won't honor my coupon. I would strongly suggest driving the extra few miles to the Ardmore location. read more

Another new location for this rising chain of Americanized-Mexican food. Chipotle in Wayne is cozy, clean, and stylish. The food is good, fresh and portions are generous. Ok, it's not authentic Mexican, but certainly better than Taco Bell. Recently I received a coupon for this location since I live in the area. I remembered to take it with me when I stopped by for lunch. The register girl told me it had expired. I told her I just got it in the mail, but indeed it had expired (about 4 months ago).
