should add a "no stars" option because this chipotle is a fucking nightmare. there has been so many times that I ordered online, arrived to pick my order up, and had to wait an additional 45+ minutes. not to mention the countless times they have left things out of my order. almost every single time I order with door dash, there is something missing. at first I thought it was the dasher's negligence, but I now know that it's chipotle's lazy ass workers not putting all the items I ordered. on top of all that ^, you'd think they might have a small sense of customer service but the employees are all dumber than a box of bricks and the lack of proper training is pretty apparent. this really sucks to type out because I genuinely like chipotle's food but the redding chipotle is 100% TRASH. read more

I am a chipotle addict. Redding is my least favorite in all of California and Oregon. They skimp on the rice. Seriously skimp. The rice is my favorite and if they skimp it gets soggy. I've offered to pay extra just to get enough then I get rolled eyes and attitude. The bearded manager, ick, watches over making sure there isn't an extra grain of rice going in. However, it's a 50/50 toss up of the rice is cooked right and tasty or hard, mushy or bland. This particular chipotle needs an overhaul. I once complained that my 5 orders were all bland and tasteless as my whole family complained. District or regional manager named Donna promised to send out coupons to make it right. Never got them. Wrote to corporate and complained to no avail. I'm needing to find something else to satisfy when I'm in redding. Burrito bandito I hear is good. read more

Two stars because the food is status quo and they were at least nice on the line. This is the slowest "fast food" restaurant I have ever been to. About 10 online orders were made before the 4 people in front of me were served. Maybe there's a corporate policy in place that says these need to get made as soon as they are placed, but if that's the case then 1. Chipotle needs to revisit this bc waiting for 30 minutes with only 4 people in line on from of you is dumb and 2. Get more people working!!! I will never go here again. I've been here 2 times now, both visits years apart. Honestly the only reason I went today was because I had a GC. The food is horrible, I have no idea why there are people lined up for this place. Oh man the girl that helped me on my last time in pretty much ruined it for me. She made a huge huff n puff deal about me and my bf coming in at nine when they close at ten. She didn't smile, she didn't say hello, she was rude and practically a robot. This is a decent commercialized Mexican version of Subway. The food is ok but doesn't even compare to Burrito Bandito. Too pricy.

As it is a chain there isn't much to say except for the fact that they were very stingy with the burrito bowls. They hardly filled them up at all compared to other ones I've been to. PROS: For the get-out-of-your-car fast food, this one is at the top of my list. It's like the In-N-Out of Mexican food; small menu, basic fresh ingredients. CONS: We don't come here that often, because I love brown rice, and over the past year, it has always been crunchy (i.e. undercooked). Instead of leaving a negative review on Yelp, I emailed corporate (they don't have franchises, so I can only assume the cooking time for the rice is pre-determined by the company). They sent me a gift card and I went back a few weeks later. Thankfully, the brown rice was cooked perfectly. I also recently received a promotional coupon yesterday for a free burrito (apparently they sent these out because of the E. coli outbreaks), and again, the rice was well cooked. My only other complaint is the parking situation. If you know you are a popular restaurant, why not expand? Or move to a location where there is more than one entrance, one exit? I'm glad the rice has improved, but when I pull into the tiny parking lot and there are no spaces, I'm going to drive right back out and go elsewhere. read more

I'd go four stars if the price was lower. The food is fresh and good, but here's a couple of tips. Cilantro is not on the front line, so you have to ask if you want it. One fella parses out cafeteria line food as though he was taking it out of his own wallet--an evil eye can help you get better fed--well, really to be fair--a polite request for a "little" more is the way to go. This is the worst chipotle I've ever had. I'm not exactly sure what it is about this location. The food is never consistent here. Burnt chicken, raw steak, fatty pork, and the list goes on and on. The customer service is below average - average. I personally think it's just the cooks in Redding are terrible and frankly don't give a damn about if it's good or not but rather just a pay check to buy their weed and cigarettes. Now that might be going out on a limb but so far in the past year of living in Redding I've been spot on with the type of locals here. My advice is just save yourself the time and money and avoid this chipotle all together. You'll most likely leave feeling unsatisfied and hungry. Anyone that thinks this chipotle is decent is crazy, go try a chipotle in the Bay Area or Sacramento and you'll see what it really tastes like. read more

I will never book an online delivery order through chipotle again. Their food is fantastic, but you're better off just going in and ordering to go. Three times I have done an online order at least an hour in advance and every time it has been 30+ minutes late and I didn't even get to enjoy it on my actual lunch break... so it turns out to be a waste of 15$. Well apparently this "new management" thinks it's better to stop orders and start closing shop at 9 cause I put a online order in at 8:35pm go to pick up at 9 which is when it said to be there and they all look at me like "WE CLOSED" my order wasn't even started and these people looked unhappy that I was even There, I said you know what forget it just cancel the whole thing. Went to this little fresh mex style place. For 4th of July weekend. It was swamped. Good for them really. It was a holiday weekend. The line was out the door. The food was very fresh and looked fine. We had a group of 8 so seating was a little tricky. We really couldn't sit together. We had to get several 2 seater tables. The line did move quickly. it just had that no romance cafe service feel. The chicken was super spicy. I like pretty spicy but it really was a little spicy. So if you like spicy this is a great, clean, fast place to go. Just not my thing. read more

I've been coming to this location for a couple of years, and I have really enjoyed their food. I usually get a salad. The kids get kids meals or burritos. The last couple of times I have visited, the portion sizes have been halved as to what they used to be. It seems like their flavoring has taken a dive too. The guac isn't as good as it was, and the steak flavoring seems off. I love Chipotle on the whole. Not sure what's going on in Redding. read more

I really would like to write a glowing review for Chipotle, considering the fact their food is organic and fresh..However it must be told that if you are going to pay almost $8.00 for a burrito, put some meat in it!!!! In the past they were generous in their portions, however lately they seem skimpy. In fact the last time I was there they literally put about a quarter of a spoon of meat. Also I am not one to complain or make a big fuss, but when I asked them to please put a little extra meat, you would think I was asking him to donate his kidneys. I'm giving this a two star review only because I like the food. I'm not sure how you can make an assembly line type restaurant so disorganized and inefficient. Not having a second line for phone/online orders is a great place to start. Furthermore having someone on the food line that is unable to efficiently process the orders as they come through is another problem. The person wrapping burritos had to rewrap every single burrito I watched him make ahead of me (4 total). I walked into this location at 1:45pm this afternoon with 4-5 customers ahead of me in line. I walked out at 2:15pm due to all of the phone/internet orders that were being processed ahead of in person customers. To add insult to injury, I ordered a soda to go with my meal. Nothing was said about being out of ice until after I had paid and gone to grab my drink. After waiting so long this was just the icing on the cake. I have been several times over the past couple of months and each time has been worse than the last as far as service. I think this will be my last for quite awhile or until they can get things figured out. It's almost like it's their first day in business. read more

The food is good. The people behind the counter are not friendly and they hurry you along like cattle. I wanted tacos with rice and beans but they don't serve rice and beans with tacos. They said they would put it IN the tacos if I wanted it but not separate. So I just had tacos! Other than that is good. Me and my boyfriend went in and I got a quesadilla, he got a burrito. On my quesadilla there was no meat or cheese on the two end pieces, and the server didnt ask if I wanted anything on it, she just put it in the bag so I had to ask for sides of toppings. My boyfriends burrito was FULL of rice and beans, he said they were flavorless. We felt like they were rushing to get to the next customers so our food wasnt made very well.
