I'm giving a 5-star review for one reason this evening - a young man named Brandon. I went in about 8:15 and was 5th or 6th in line. Planned to order two bowls. By the time I got up there, they were out of vegetables, steak and sofritas. No biggie on the steak and veggies, that was for me. But I was taking the sofritas bowl for my daughter. Brandon told me they were out and offered me chicken or chipotle honey chicken. I chose the chicken for her, but knew she wasn't keen on it. I didn't say anything, just went with it. All of a sudden, Brandon said, hold on, I'm going to get you sofritas. . . . And he did! I've not had anyone go out of their way to provide that level of customer service in a long time! Truly, truly, truly appreciated!! P.S. I had the chipotle honey chicken - it was really good! Give it a try! read more

I've given this Chipotle multiple chances, but the experience is consistently disappointing. The staff is often rude, ignores customers, or gives attitude when you ask simple questions. Every visit comes with long wait times, and it honestly feels avoidable because employees walk around with no sense of urgency. None of the staff seem to care about their jobs or the customer experience. The online ordering system is just as bad. My order is almost always ready 30-40 minutes after the scheduled pickup time, which completely defeats the purpose of ordering ahead. They also don't seem to use the pickup shelving for online orders, so the only way to get your food is to ask an employee. Most of the time they either blame another employee, say they don't know, or just walk away without helping. To make matters worse, I've personally seen cooks handling food without gloves, which was very concerning from a cleanliness standpoint. Overall, customer service, efficiency, and food handling standards here seriously need improvement. I would personally give a ZERO star. read more

Went to grab a bowl before work the other day and after waiting about 10 minutes someone came out and told us there was no more rice for the day read more

Always out of everything. Placed an order well before rush and it took them 30 minutes to fulfill. Worse thing it was only protein cups. I watched as walk in customers received their food. The polite thing would have been to fill my cups with the food up front. Instead they made me wait. Not even an apology when the food was finally ready. They rarely have food ready in general even during rushes, and employees could care less. Poorly managed. read more

Welcome to Moe's indeed. This Chipotle in Monroeville is consistently one of the worst-run fast food locations I've encountered. Online orders are almost never ready on time, and they don't follow their own pickup process -- food isn't put on the shelf, so you're forced to stand there and flag someone down just to get what you already paid for. When you do, the staff often act irritated that you asked. On top of that, portion sizes have clearly gone downhill. Even when paying for double meat, the servings are skimpy and inconsistent. Between the delays, the disorganization, the attitude, and the shrinking portions, ordering ahead here is pointless. I won't be back. read more

This location always has lines, is consistently out of things and seems to regularly have issues and always looks like a hot mess. (burnt out lights, trash on the floor etc). It is the closest location, so when I come it is for an attempt at convenience, but often I wish I would have driven down the road to the one in Murrysville for less aggravation. The last time I was there, they were out of forks, chicken and sour cream. HOW?! I get that they might need to cook more chicken (that has happened before where I had to wait while something was being prepared) but apparently they literally didn't have chicken to even cook. And it was earlier in the day, not like at 9 pm close to closing. Being out of so many key things makes me think it was poor management because supply ordering is something they should be on top of. Service is hit or miss. Some of the employees are friendly and seem to like their job, but more often than not, everyone seems miserable and like they would rather be anywhere but there. If you really want Chipotle, do yourself a favor and go down the road 15 minutes to the one in Murrysville. It is far from perfect, but still a much better experience than this location. read more

All of the dishes had rice in them and the rice was completely undercooked. It was too busy to go back through the line for a remake.

The workers do not smile or have manners. Food is dry. And for some reason every time I go they never seem to accept cash? How is this spot still open? I walked in today (the place was basically empty) and waited about 5 minutes to be "greeted" and my greeting never came. The worker just gave me a lead paint stare. She also shorted me on rice and protein. I said I needed more and she grabbed 3 strings of meat from the pan (I got barbacoa) then charged me double protein. These people act like you've ruined their day by choosing to eat at this restaurant. This food is not good enough to deal with this every. Single. Time. If you live close enough you're better off just eating at the murrysville location. Better in LITERALLY every single aspect. One star. read more

Service here sucks!! What the f&$k!?!? I've been standing in line for 15 minutes. 5 people in front of me. Line hasn't moved although there are 6 employees milling about behind the counter! read more

Ordered online, I asked for double protein and payed the extra 5 dollars that was asked. When this order was received it had very little protein at all read more

The woman who made my bowl made it very quickly, with a ton of rice, minimal chicken, the beans were all on one side and a few lettuce leaves. The dining room area had a sticky soda spilled all over the floor, and food and used napkins on the tables. The restaurant needs to schedule someone to clean and stock the dining area on a regular basis. This was our second time there and they did not have any change available either time. This place needs help!!! read more

They were out of ice, veggies, straws, napkins, meat was low. I got a small portion and the place was messy. The workers obviously didn't care and I would say management doesn't either! Just look at the reviews this place has. Very sad- chipotle used to be the absolute best. Do better read more

Went there yesterday, the girl started making my bowl but neglected to say they were out of steak. She then stood there staring at me, nor did she say how long the steak would take till it is done. She them turned around and threw the bowl in the trash. I decided to wait the 30 minutes while it was cooking. Then the manager comes out and tells me to get back in line the steak is ready, she walks up to me and said no it's not it's going to be 2 more minutes. She was clearly targeting me! Finally went to check out and the cashier was just as rude! They truly make u feel like you are bothering them. Why do the workers have such horrible attitudes? Do yourself a favor drive a few more miles to Murraysville where you'll get a bunch of kids that do there jobs and customer service is soooo much better. The staff Monroeville is just awful!!!!!! read more

My ass is cleaner than this place. Food scattered all over the joint. Good luck getting chicken, they'll probably be out of it. Place needs to be shut down. Felt scared taking a bite of my burrito. Place is not trim. read more

Been going to this one for a while over the other one near me. Unfortunately they have went down hill from uncleanly inside. Never having half the things the offer. And unfriendly and inattentive staff. I went in tonight to order in person they were out of chips, steak, and chimichurri. They put tomato's unasked and didn't add the cheese after being asked. Will we not be returning again. read more

I placed a simple mobile pickup order (a chicken quesadilla) and the order was not ready until 25 minutes past the pickup time I was given in the app. The staff doesn't place the completed mobile orders anywhere where customers can see them, so there was a chaotic crowd of people repeatedly asking if their orders were ready, with staff being largely inattentive. read more

Food is good and affordable, service is sad and facility is neglected. I camehere at 2pm on Wednesday for a sit down late lunch. The demeanor of the servers was like I was pulling teeth rather than ordering and paying for food. There were no grilled veggies (and they weren't willing to make more), there was no ice stocked in the drink dispenser, there were no napkins stocked and seating surfaces are dirty. And this was during a slow time at the restaurant. No line. Just me. I don't know what the workers are doing during their shifts. Clearly they take little pride in their work. I wonder if take out/online ordering is any better? read more

See all

You have staff doing the same thing, one person making food and being a cashier when you have a line to the door. Instead of having items ready before they run out, are told to wait about 30 minutes first a new batch to get ready. I think organization and a few more staff members are needed. The floor is completely dirty and the counter is not looked at to be able to keep a clean counter. read more

Three times now I have come here and they were not open in time, or closed because not enough employees, or the food wasn't cooked. An absolute disgrace, worst franchise out there. read more

place was DISGUSTING!!!!! WORST Chipotle I've been to and worst Chipotle experience i've ever had- and I've been to a lot of Chipotles. Dirty dishes and food scraps EVERYWHERE!!!!! Tables were not clean even remotely. You can tell the staff does not care about health at all. SOOOO MANY health code violations here. Staff was short tempered and cussing up a storm of "n" words left and right, yelling everywhere. I couldn't hear what my dad was saying as he was standing RIGHT NEXT TO ME. They had NOTHING at 9 pm. I've worked in fast food service and we NEVER didn't have food an HOUR before closing. Chairs were up and put away so it was hard for us to find a seat for our family. DO NOT COME!!!!! read more

Terrible. Dirty, unkempt, out of brown rice and fajita vegetables without a care or apology, employees seem stressed with lifeless eyes and not a smile in the place...I will no more step foot in this location again than I'd willingly step into dog poo. Ugh. read more

Chipotle over all is awesome....this location needs some major help. Went in last week for a salad only to be told at the checkout that they were out of dressing. They were also out of chips. The ice machine was empty and all of the lemonade and ice tea machines were empty. Very disappointing. read more

This location is by far the worst location I've ever been to. If this were the only Chipotle I had ever been to I would assume they're all like this and would never go back. I don't understand how this location could have SO many bad reviews and nothing is being done about it. The employees move like molasses in the dead of winter. The quality of the food is beyond terrible. What a joke. read more

Small skimpy portion sizes while the prices have sky rocketed--make sure to NEVER order online. I got maybe a half scoop of protein when I ordered online. I miss the golden days of chipotle...now I feel like I'm just getting salt more than anything. read more

Very disappointing! They should just close this location. Lettuce is brown. Chicken is rubber. What is it? They didn't put brown rice in my salad like I ordered. My orders in this location have been bad the last few times I ordered. I don't know why I even try. Never again. read more

This chipotle was very dirty- Seating area, Food prep area, and especially the bathroom. No chips, no steak, card only, and the fountain machine is broken. The white rice was chunky and mushy. Seemed like there are enough staffs but very few are actually working. most of them were talking with what seemed like customers or friends out in the dinging room or talking amongst themselves in the corner. I don't go into Chipotle and expect the best food or service but this place definitely needs some kind of intervention. read more

Absolutely disgusting inside. We ordered for pickup on the road and ended up throwing the food out on site and picked up chicken across the street instead. Health department needs to pay a visit read more

So, so bad. Never again will I frequent this establishment. Rude workers that could care less, out of half their ingredients - most food looked like it had been sitting there for hours and the lettuce gave me worries of salmonella. But the topper... the worst was they were out of all utensils except spoons. How's a person supposed to eat a salad with a spoon? And - none of this is worth the price. read more

Out of everything per usual. No signs to display what's out to elevate people sitting in line and waiting for nothing. The most unprofessional dump of a Chipotle I've ever been to. Go to Murrysville location or eat something else. read more

I asked for the carnitas meat (pork) and the guy taking my order said, "oh, we're out of that". My mom was ordering a minute later and she asked for chicken al pastor and the same guy says, "oh yeah, we stopped selling that". Meanwhile there's a banner above his head with chicken al pastor in bold letters and it's listed with the other meat as well (and there's a container of it there). When he listed the meats that they were not out of at the time, he named pork as one of them and they had a full container of it. He had already put the chicken on mine since that's what I got when he said they didn't have carnitas. But seriously? It's two feet from my face and you're gonna tell me it's not there?! They were also out of ice and they were two weeks ago when we came to this location. Tables were also not clean. read more

Restaurant has been absolutely filthy last 2 times I have went into here. Also they never have the fajita peppers and onions. There is very little meat in there either, maybe 8 pieces total. Get your bowl and there is nothing in it. So disappointing. read more

Restaurant should be closed. Every time I've attempted to go here to dine in they are out of all of the proteins at the prime of lunch hour. What a waste. One time while I was there they ran out of proteins and I got something I didn't want because no one told me they were out... and while I was standing there another employee locked the store doors and put up a hand written sign that they were out of food. Ridiculous. read more

I agree with all of these other reviews recently!!!! Wow this location is terrible. I recommend new management and fire all of the workers who were joking around in the back room rather than serving customers. Walked in, looked like a tornado hit the place... dirty tables, dirty floors, drink station empty. No one was in line, so we went to the line and waited and waited and waited on the (kids?) to stop taking and come help us. Many items missing (no chips, missing salsas, no lettuce, no napkins, no forks)..... odd, because since the place was empty you would think that is the ideal time to restock, clean up, and I don't know.... Maybe MAKE MORE CHIPS! Apparently Chipotle CORP. doesn't care because this is becoming common at the last 3 locations I have tried. So, I am done. Chic-Fil-A or Jimmy John's seem to be the only consistent fast food option with quality service and food.....AND for what Chipotle costs for their now subpar cooked food and crappy service, our family of four is financially better off sitting down and taking time to eat at a locally owned restaurant. The cost/benefit makes more sense to support local. The ONLY reason I even tried Chipotle again was a time constraint... mistake I guess. Do better Chipotle! No more $$$ from our family until you show better ratings from others, and fast. read more

I am not one to normally leave one-star reviews because I can usually find at least some sort of redeeming quality about a restaurant. But this particular Chipotle restaurant is legitimately THE WORST I've ever been to (and I've been to many). The service is always slow, there's almost always a line wrapped around the inside of the restaurant, and, if you have an online order, good luck to you. You'll be waiting FORever, crowded around the pickup shelf with all the other poor sods who either thought a quick Chipotle takeout sounded good or frustrated delivery drivers who are losing money waiting on orders that are not even started. They are consistently causing drivers to cancel orders. It is well-known by local drivers to be the Bermuda Triangle of pickups. Unless the boss is there, there is zero sense of urgency or helpful customer service when people are obviously there on limited time, trying to grab a quick lunch or dinner on their break from work. There's absolutely no push to get customers in and out the door. So if you decide to go there at a normally busy time, more power to you! It's most likely going to be a long wait and slow service with a blasé attitude. read more

This is the second Sunday that I've tried to order at this restaurant. Last Sunday they wouldn't take any orders in the store. They would only take online orders. This Sunday they did not any barbaco, no chicken no pastor chicken. No roasted vegetables. And other things. But at that point I was too mad. I left the store and so did 10 other customers. I'm so disappointed with chipotle lately. They are definitely falling off. read more

On Tuesday, September 5, 2023, I went to the Chipotle Mexican Grill located at 4137 William Penn Highway, Monroeville, PA 15146. Telephone number 412-843-0028 order number 10101 (receipt time was 1:33 PM), and bought one Chicken Bowl with Extra meat. At the checkout counter, a male cashier accidentally put my meal in the bag of the female customer in front of me. I told him about his mistake, and he took my meal out of her bag and put it on the counter. The cashier, gave the female customer, ahead of me a free burrito because of the confusion. I asked the cashier, what about me, I reminded him that because of me telling him about his mistake, I should get consideration. His reply was for me to put your card in the payment machine when I showed him my MasterCard credit card. I asked for the manager and he said he is the manager so I knew there was no need talking to him about consideration for the confusion that he caused. I was the one that caught the mistake, but I was not given consideration for potentially causing a problem with Chipotle accounting system and two disgruntled customers. The cashier should've given me the appropriate compensation for the confusion that he caused, like he gave the customer in front of me. The meal was fantastic! read more
