This location always has lines, is consistently out of things and seems to regularly have issues and always looks like a hot mess. (burnt out lights, trash on the floor etc). It is the closest location, so when I come it is for an attempt at convenience, but often I wish I would have driven down the road to the one in Murrysville for less aggravation. The last time I was there, they were out of forks, chicken and sour cream. HOW?! I get that they might need to cook more chicken (that has happened before where I had to wait while something was being prepared) but apparently they literally didn't have chicken to even cook. And it was earlier in the day, not like at 9 pm close to closing. Being out of so many key things makes me think it was poor management because supply ordering is something they should be on top of. Service is hit or miss. Some of the employees are friendly and seem to like their job, but more often than not, everyone seems miserable and like they would rather be anywhere but there. If you really want Chipotle, do yourself a favor and go down the road 15 minutes to the one in Murrysville. It is far from perfect, but still a much better experience than this location. read more

I've given this Chipotle multiple chances, but the experience is consistently disappointing. The staff is often rude, ignores customers, or gives attitude when you ask simple questions. Every visit comes with long wait times, and it honestly feels avoidable because employees walk around with no sense of urgency. None of the staff seem to care about their jobs or the customer experience. The online ordering system is just as bad. My order is almost always ready 30-40 minutes after the scheduled pickup time, which completely defeats the purpose of ordering ahead. They also don't seem to use the pickup shelving for online orders, so the only way to get your food is to ask an employee. Most of the time they either blame another employee, say they don't know, or just walk away without helping. To make matters worse, I've personally seen cooks handling food without gloves, which was very concerning from a cleanliness standpoint. Overall, customer service, efficiency, and food handling standards here seriously need improvement. I would personally give a ZERO star. read more

Online orders are almost never ready on time, and they don't follow their own pickup process -- food isn't put on the shelf, so you're forced to stand there and flag someone down just to get what you already paid for. When you do, the staff often act irritated that you asked. On top of that, portion sizes have clearly gone downhill. Even when paying for double meat, the servings are skimpy and inconsistent. I'm giving a 5-star review for one reason this evening - a young man named Brandon. I went in about 8:15 and was 5th or 6th in line. Planned to order two bowls. By the time I got up there, they were out of vegetables, steak and sofritas. No biggie on the steak and veggies, that was for me. But I was taking the sofritas bowl for my daughter. Brandon told me they were out and offered me chicken or chipotle honey chicken. I chose the chicken for her, but knew she wasn't keen on it. I didn't say anything, just went with it. All of a sudden, Brandon said, hold on, I'm going to get you sofritas. . . . And he did! I've not had anyone go out of their way to provide that level of customer service in a long time! The workers do not smile or have manners. Food is dry. And for some reason every time I go they never seem to accept cash? How is this spot still open? I walked in today (the place was basically empty) and waited about 5 minutes to be "greeted" and my greeting never came. The worker just gave me a lead paint stare. She also shorted me on rice and protein. I said I needed more and she grabbed 3 strings of meat from the pan (I got barbacoa) then charged me double protein. The woman who made my bowl made it very quickly, with a ton of rice, minimal chicken, the beans were all on one side and a few lettuce leaves. The dining room area had a sticky soda spilled all over the floor, and food and used napkins on the tables. The restaurant needs to schedule someone to clean and stock the dining area on a regular basis. This was our second time there and they did not have any change available either time. Went there yesterday, the girl started making my bowl but neglected to say they were out of steak. She then stood there staring at me, nor did she say how long the steak would take till it is done. She them turned around and threw the bowl in the trash. I decided to wait the 30 minutes while it was cooking. Then the manager comes out and tells me to get back in line the steak is ready, she walks up to me and said no it's not it's going to be 2 more minutes. She was clearly targeting me! Instead of having items ready before they run out, are told to wait about 30 minutes first a new batch to get ready. I think organization and a few more staff members are needed. Food is good and affordable, service is sad and facility is neglected. I camehere at 2pm on Wednesday for a sit down late lunch. The demeanor of the servers was like I was pulling teeth rather than ordering and paying for food. There were no grilled veggies (and they weren't willing to make more), there was no ice stocked in the drink dispenser, there were no napkins stocked and seating surfaces are dirty. And this was during a slow time at the restaurant. No line. Just me. I don't know what the workers are doing during their shifts. Clearly they take little pride in their work. Tables were not clean even remotely. You can tell the staff does not care about health at all. SOOOO MANY health code violations here. Staff was short tempered and cussing up a storm of "n" words left and right, yelling everywhere. I couldn't hear what my dad was saying as he was standing RIGHT NEXT TO ME. They had NOTHING at 9 pm. This chipotle was very dirty- Seating area, Food prep area, and especially the bathroom. No chips, no steak, card only, and the fountain machine is broken. The white rice was chunky and mushy. Seemed like there are enough staffs but very few are actually working. most of them were talking with what seemed like customers or friends out in the dinging room or talking amongst themselves in the corner. I recommend new management and fire all of the workers who were joking around in the back room rather than serving customers. Walked in, looked like a tornado hit the place... dirty tables, dirty floors, drink station empty. No one was in line, so we went to the line and waited and waited and waited on the (kids?) to stop taking and come help us. Many items missing (no chips, missing salsas, no lettuce, no napkins, no forks)..... odd, because since the place was empty you would think that is the ideal time to restock, clean up, and I don't know.... Maybe MAKE MORE CHIPS! Apparently Chipotle CORP. doesn't care because this is becoming common at the last 3 locations I have tried. So, I am done. Chic-Fil-A or Jimmy John's seem to be the only consistent fast food option with quality service and food.....AND for what Chipotle costs for their now subpar cooked food and crappy service, our family of four is financially better off sitting down and taking time to eat at a locally owned restaurant. The cost/benefit makes more sense to support local. The ONLY reason I even tried Chipotle again was a time constraint... mistake I guess. Do better Chipotle! I am not one to normally leave one-star reviews because I can usually find at least some sort of redeeming quality about a restaurant. But this particular Chipotle restaurant is legitimately THE WORST I've ever been to (and I've been to many). The service is always slow, there's almost always a line wrapped around the inside of the restaurant, and, if you have an online order, good luck to you. You'll be waiting FORever, crowded around the pickup shelf with all the other poor sods who either thought a quick Chipotle takeout sounded good or frustrated delivery drivers who are losing money waiting on orders that are not even started. They are consistently causing drivers to cancel orders. It is well-known by local drivers to be the Bermuda Triangle of pickups. Unless the boss is there, there is zero sense of urgency or helpful customer service when people are obviously there on limited time, trying to grab a quick lunch or dinner on their break from work. There's absolutely no push to get customers in and out the door. So if you decide to go there at a normally busy time, more power to you! It's most likely going to be a long wait and slow service with a blasé attitude. read more

I purchased a chicken burrito and chips with queso. A very young African-American young man, who appeared to be new, took my order. The serving line was filthy with remaining food deposits, and there was a scant amount of chicken at the bottom of the metal container, so I asked him if I could have different chicken because I did not want the remaining "scraps" from the bottom. It looked dried and very old. The grill was filthy, and no one was cooking any chicken. The young man asked his colleague what to do because I did not want the scraps at the bottom of the container. She turned around and gave me a disparaging look, then told him to go over to the other side and grab chicken from the mobile order section. She then walked over to the other side and brought a container that was about 1/2 full of chicken, which looked much more appetizing. Next, in a very curt tone, she told me that it was the same chicken and did not make a difference. Again, she gave me another rude look and sighed negatively.  For my burrito, she barely put any chicken into the wrap. However, she previously served other patrons and put much more chicken into their burritos. Realizing that she intentionally placed such a small portion in my burrito, I was further angered. When I arrived home and ate my burrito, there was a scant amount of chicken, and the burrito did not taste the same. I was angered and frustrated about the entire incident. About a week ago, I had another similar incident at this location. The gentleman was taking people's food orders and then taking care of them at the register. He used his gloves on the registers, surfaces, and many other areas, but attempted to grab the burrito wrap out of the package without changing his gloves. I explained to him that I am a doctorate-prepared nurse and that he was cross-contaminating surfaces with his gloves and asked him to wash or sanitize and then grab a new pair of gloves. He gave me a terrible look and sighed. However, he washed his hands and changed his gloves.  Finally, he proceeded to prepare my chicken burrito. The problem lies with a lack of chicken. There was no chicken, and the "cook" was preoccupied with his phone. I did not realize that he was the cook until he finally decided to place chicken on the grill. Like yesterday, they had to scrape the bottom to get a "partial" serving of chicken for my burrito. The serving line was also filthy and had food all over the surfaces. I LOVE Chipotle and eat at your other locations almost every week. Since the Monroeville location on William Penn Highway is near my home, I use this location more frequently. However, there is a significant difference between this location and other locations. First, this location is busy, and they never seem to have enough chicken prepared. Secondly, the attitude of the staff is deplorable. Third, they don't clean their surfaces frequently and always have food deposits everywhere. This location definitely needs additional managerial support and staff training. They always have negative attitudes, a lack of chicken (my favorite), and dirty counters with food scattered along the cleaning surfaces. I do not have these experiences at other Chipotle locations, especially Murrysville. My experiences at their location are precisely the opposite of the experiences that I have at the Monroeville location at 4137 William Penn Highway. That entire location needs a change in personnel and lessons in cleanliness on the "assembly line." I wish that I could give it a -10 Star rating. read more

On Tuesday, September 5, 2023, I went to the Chipotle Mexican Grill located at 4137 William Penn Highway, Monroeville, PA 15146. Telephone number 412-843-0028 order number 10101 (receipt time was 1:33 PM), and bought one Chicken Bowl with Extra meat. At the checkout counter, a male cashier accidentally put my meal in the bag of the female customer in front of me. I told him about his mistake, and he took my meal out of her bag and put it on the counter. The cashier, gave the female customer, ahead of me a free burrito because of the confusion. I asked the cashier, what about me, I reminded him that because of me telling him about his mistake, I should get consideration. His reply was for me to put your card in the payment machine when I showed him my MasterCard credit card. I asked for the manager and he said he is the manager so I knew there was no need talking to him about consideration for the confusion that he caused. I was the one that caught the mistake, but I was not given consideration for potentially causing a problem with Chipotle accounting system and two disgruntled customers. The cashier should've given me the appropriate compensation for the confusion that he caused, like he gave the customer in front of me. The meal was fantastic! read more
