First of all, Adriana the "manager", I hope you're reading this and know how much of a horrible manager you are. Managers are supposed to de-escalate customers' issues and she did the exact opposite. This past Sunday 10/13 my boyfriend and I visited this location for lunch as we do at least every couple of weeks. We always order the SAME thing. 2 bowls, 2 large chips and queso, 2 side tortillas and some vingatette. Well we got our food which was around $47, came home, and I barely picked up the bag from the back seat and the bottom of the bag broke open and spilled everywhere on my car and on our driveway. The bottom of the bag was soaked as well, which implied to me that the bowls were not properly closed. We spent 20 minutes hosing down our driveway, and scooped up the spilled bowls and put them in a bag and drove right back to Chipotle. When we came back, the line was long. We waited in line for about 15 minutes, once we got to the front we told the gentleman who asks you if you want a bowl or burrito the whole situation. I asked him if we could get our food re-made and I asked if that was up to him or if he had to ask a manager. He said he had to ask for a manager. The girl behind him who cooks the food said he could just remake it for us and he said no, I should probably ask Adriana the "manager". While we wait for her to come out, we see the line behind us is almost out the door so we let the people behind us go ahead and start ordering. Adriana comes out, she's the small girl with black hair and braces. I start explaining the situation to her, and she immediately cuts me off and starts to not take any responsibility and says rudely, "No, IM the one who's closed your bowls and they were definitely closed all the way". I offered to take her out to my car and show her the food in the bag that's mixed with gravel from our driveway to ensure her the bowls were not closed and that the bag was soaking wet at the bottom and broke open before I even had a chance to get it fully out of my car. I also wanted to prove to her that I'm not lying and just trying to get free food. She immediately declines coming out to my car and refuses to remake us our food. She then proceeds to tell us (in front of the entire restaurant) that our bowls were heavy and that WE should have requested them to double-bag our order. I told her that she is the one who works there, and they should have done so themselves. How am I to know the bag was going to break? PLUS, like I mentioned earlier, we get the SAME THING every time we visit Chipotle and we have NEVER had this issue. She still refused to do anything and was smirking the entire conversation. Her telling us our bowls were "heavy" was so rude and so embarrassing as the whole line and restaurant could hear her. She told us to go ahead and contact corporate and that she didn't care. After arguing with her for 10 minutes, she said she "guesses" she can refund us our food, and that we will have to pay for the meal again and re-order. Once this was done, she said we had to go to the back of the line (which again, was almost out the door) and wait for another 15 minutes for a THIRD TIME. Adriana you are a sorry excuse for a manager and I will never be visiting this Chipotle again. You did the exact opposite of what a manager should do and you made the situation so much worse when you could have easily just remade our food in the back, and also not made me wait in line 3 separate times. You also did not have to tell the whole restaurant that we had heavy bowls and that the bag broke because of our negligence. I was mortified and so embarrassed and cried when we left this location. Do better Adriana and do better Chipotle. read more

No one really cares about a "main chain" review... but I'll leave one anyway. The food has always been decent, but customer service needs a serious re-evaluation. I ordered delivery and the store neglected to include an item I had paid for. I called the store to ask for a refund (not angry or upset or anything of the like at the time... and didn't ask for someone to drive the item to me or anything crazy like that)... Simply called and requested a refund for the item they failed to include in my delivery. I was informed that I need to drive to the location in order to receive a refund... or my name can be taken down for a credit. If I wanted to drive to the location, I would have done that the first time around and not opted for delivery. Why should the customer be inconvenienced on a store oversight? Is this a company rule? Or specific to location? Either way, horrible customer service with that expectation. read more

So today I went with a co-worker to Chipotle. I don't like going to chipotle because the love to serve cold food. I ordered the chicken burrito. As you can see the burrito has chicken in the name. Actually the first thing you read is chicken right? Not on this burrito. Their portions were definitely off. There is more beans and rice than the chicken itself. Is this a new thing for chipotle to rip off there customers? So my buddy started eating his burrito. His complaint, yes it was cold. Typical chipotle style serving cold food. They can't seem to serve a warm burrito with enough protein. He even complained about his sofritas portion. I would to since it was literally a half scoop. I wanna give a shoutout to Briant and the team here! I've been to countless chipotles from Tracy to lathrop to Stockton and Modesto lol. But this one in Manteca is my go to! Brian is always greeting guests with a smile and honestly goes above and beyond. The guy has great energy and I'm always happy to see him when I walk inside. The whole team does a great job, my bowls are always nice and fat and I've rarely if ever had an issue at this location. Ps: if you get salad bowls, try the vinegar sauce! read more

I've talked to the manager multiple times about this place closing early, every time you come to this location expect for them to be closed 30 mins to 1 hour early. On top of that the staff is very rude and disrespectful, especially the associate with the green and orange hair, I've waited in line for 25 minutes with only one person in front of me while the associate with the colored hair and another associate talked and did absolutely nothing. It seems like the only time anybody is working is when the manager is there ! Not to mention how dirty this location it. It's absolutely disgusting ! All of the tables were dirty most of the food was mixed behind the counter, and there was napkins and trash everywhere ! Something seriously needs to be done. The associates are running this place to the ground ! I highly recommend everybody reach out to the regional manager because the manager does absolutely nothing no matter how many times you mention it. Another bad review from back to back visits. I'm done going to this location completely. I walk in to grab my mobile pickup that I see is ready on the shelf, it's the only one there. I grab it and was told by a woman working walk in orders to put the bag back. I didn't give her a hard time and just put the bag back since I'm sure she's instructed by management to do so. I put the bag back without saying a word and eventually another employee comes out from the back, the original woman who told me to put the bag back instructs the new employee to hand me my food i already paid for via the chipotle app. The employee didn't verify my name or anything about the pickup so what was the point?? No signs anywhere saying an employee must hand you your pickup, but you know what is said? What's said on the chipotle app is that your order is ready for pickup to grab it from the shelf. So overall, I waited longer to receive my order that was ready and paid for all because I wasn't allowed to personally grab my own food. I ordered a carne asada burrito last night via Grub Hub, to enjoy while watching G1 of the World Series. The initial cost was $20. I didn't ask for a lot of extras but after the delivery and $3 tip, my final price was $40!! WTF!!? Outrageous!! So, the burrito was delivered cold. I had to heat it up in the microwave. There was no salsa? I had to use my own. No utensils (that I requested) were included. I ended up using my own. Also as a carne asada burrito, there was no significant beef!! OMG!!! I should have just made my own burrito, since I did everything else anyway!!! No issues with GrubHub delivery as it was delivered ahead of schedule. I've given this place so many chances already and every time I go, I end up feeling more disappointed than ever. I come in at 7:30 which I thought is about the normal time for dinner, sure it's a little later but they close at 10, still plenty of time for me to order. I had multiple orders but the lady that was helping me was already rushing me as soon as I open my mouth to say something. Tell me why they do not have lettuce, fajitas, and green salsa. They also did not have any salad dressing or any cilantro on their cilantro lime rice! It's called cilantro rice for a reason, not just white rice. I almost walked out of there because what the heck am I paying for? Their counter was filthy, all the ingredients were spilled all over the place, that's probably why they ran out of most of them. As I mentioned, I had multiple orders, the lady packed all my bowls in one bag, I put it in my car and as I get home, I picked up the bag and that thing ripped because it was soaking wet in the bottom. The bowls were not placed properly in there so all the sauces came out. I have never been this disappointed in any restaurants before. So ridiculous. Not one clean table, garbages overflowing, drink area was empty of lids, straws, silverware etc, in there place the containers were full of people's garbage, counter top was sticky with peoples spilled drinks, floor was sticky with wrappers and trash all over. Went to order a bowl and got the last little bit of white rice, lady didn't even wait to fill it properly and passed it on down the line. This has to be the worst location! We just moved to the area and were happy to see that we had a Chipotle near us. We never had any issues at any of the other locations we use to frequent near our other home. Our first visit they made everything correctly, long line but we were understanding. Ordered a bag of chips which were stale. They were rubbery and had no crunch at all, we ended up throwing them out. Then two weeks ago we arrived just before 4PM and they posted signs that they are only taking online orders. Since we did not feel like driving around trying to figure out what other options we wanted we went ahead and ordered online. We were able to sit inside while we watched what employees were there just gabbing and laughing and not seeming to be working that hard. We must have seen at least 20 different individuals walk in wanting to order only to hear that it has to be online and they walked out. One gentleman explained to us that he only had a flip phone and had no idea how to order online so he left. We ordered and it gave us a time of pick up with only a 15 minute wait. So we sat inside while watching employees screw around and not seeming to work all that hard. Finally after 30 minutes our order was ready. When we got home both orders were wrong, either missing items or added items not asked for and when compared to ordering in front of them and what they do behind the scenes we got jipped!! Asked for cheese on both and seemed like they gave us three strands. Asked for extra lettuce on both and we got less than a 1/4 cup, thankfully we had lettuce at home so I added to our bowls. Our bowls were half as full as it would have been if we stood in front of them and ordered it. Today we decided to give them another try, we were able to order inside but still seemed like a party to the employees. Lots of gabbing, chit chatting while the few patrons they had stood around waiting on them. The counter was disgusting, didn't look like they wiped it down at all. No real sense of helping the customer like they should be focusing on. Think we may have to start driving out of our way if we want some good Chipotle and give another location our business. read more

I've gotten such great service from here lately! The people at this chipotle are extremely friendly and are very generous with their ingredients. I came here once several months ago and it was terrible. There was a lady that gave me like half a spoon of meat because they were running out, and pushed me to move along even though I said I'd wait for the new batch to come out. After that incident, I said I would never come back here again. But several times after I tried it, and it did a whole 180 turn. The servers were nice and they always were super patient with me and my choices. So far, I had a great time dining here! read more

The employees spent more time joking around with each other than taking our order. MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR ENTIRE BAG BEFORE LEAVING THE RESTAURANT IF YOU ORDER MULTIPLE ITEMS ONLINE. I really wish the employees wore name badges so I could say who exactly it was last night that is extremely lacking in his customer service skills at this location. I placed an order online on 3/30 at 6:59pm. I forgot my mask at home so I called into the restaurant and let the young lady who answered the phone know what was going on. She quickly ran to the door and brought me a mask. She said it was her last, but instead of taking it I explained that I had already ordered online so I didn't really need to go in. She had no issue with going in and checking for my order. It wasn't ready so I waited outside an extra 5 minutes until it was done and she brought the order back out to me. I thanked her and apologized for the trouble. That interaction was fine. When I got home with my order I realized 1 out of the 3 bowls I ordered came from another person's order. I wish I would've checked every item in my bag before leaving because the item that was wrong was at the bottom so since the sticker on the top bowl had my name on it I thought I was good. I ordered directly off the chipotle website. The incorrect bowl had a doordash sticker. My husband is on a keto diet so we ordered one of the new cauliflower rice bowls and was charged just under $14 for it. My husband isn't that picky so if it had at least had the cauliflower rice instead of regular rice he would've ate it anyway, but it didn't so I drove back to the restaurant to get the correct order. Initially I wasn't upset. I didn't storm into the restaurant and go straight to an employee to complain (even though after the reaction I had gotten from them I regret not doing). When I got there line was to the door, but I waited patiently fot about 15 mintues and made sure to have my order on my phone screen so I could quickly give them the order info in thr mean time. The male employee (can't say gentleman because that's not what he was) that was there to start orders was a large white guy. I explained to him what happened. Instead of maybe a simple apology and asking if I wanted them to remake the bowl which would have taken seconds, he gets clearly irritated over the situation and says in a rude tone "follow me this way" then motions towards the cashier. The same nice young lady that dealt with me shortly before is the same that he pushed me off to. I repeated back to her what happened and she asked if I wanted to have the bowl remade. That's exactly what I wanted so she sent me back to the same rude man to start it. He still seemed to have an attitude and at that point I was looking for a name badge so I could note who this individual was, but he wasn't wearing one. When I got back to the cashier's area she politely apologized and offered me a bag of chips for the inconvenience that I respectfully declined. A free bag of $1.50 chips was definitely not going to make the situation any better, but I appreciate her effort. By the time I got home my food had been sitting for an hour. So I was lucky enough to get to eat a cold burrito bowl after being treated poorly. Yay me! This isn't the first time I had a negative experience with this location. The last time I went in I placed another online. I ordered a side of guacamole that they didn't put in with my order. It was annoying that I paid extra for it, but I could live with out it and didn't complain. As a ex manager of a food place I understand that things happen and sometimes working at these establishments we don't get much help. With that being said, being pregnant you tend to have favorites and chipotle happens to be mine so I eat here maybe once or twice a week. But definitely weekly. The flavoring is never consistent, I get the same thing and lately it's been too spicy to handle with no hot sauce added... portions are always different (I'll never order off of DoorDash again as I got my smallest portion ever but double the normal price) Any time I come in they're understaffed, I came in one night and seen a manager haven't seen a manager again. Every time I come there's not enough people and you can hear it be spoken between employees. Again not a managers fault as I know corporate and higher ups are not helping with this situation. Anyways , I've been debating on writing this review for a while today's lunch led me to do so. My food was so bland, and had paper pieces in it. Being that I'm on limited activity I couldn't go back and ate what I could. If there was another Chipotle location closer to me, I would go there. A few nights ago they had packed away all the food and were cleaning/shutting down over an hour early from the listed closing time. An employee working said they were cleaning, but could still make something and supposedly only had sofritas left. Time and time again, this location's customer service is subpar at best and extremely rude at worst. I've even tried placing online orders and end up waiting 15-20 minutes past the designated pick up time. Last time the employees didn't even acknowledge the group of people waiting on online orders. The customers had to get the attention of employees walking around. When I pay and order double meat, it looks like they give you less than a single serving amount. Very stingy with their portions. Westley the man that helped me was so quick to rush me out the door, could barely understand him because he was so quiet and gave me the wrong salsa on my bowl. I asked if he could remake it with the correct salsa and he told me NO! Wow, great customer service... NOT! Shameful. Worst Chipotle in the Central Valley. Go to any in Stockton, Modesto, or Lodi. Or anywhere else. This location at Manteca has been on the heavy decline since around 2 years ago, no idea why. TERRIBLE food portions; bought 2 bowls and both had less than half of a regular bowl. One was about a quarter of the usual bowl in portion size... makes no sense. Combined both bowls and it was still less than a usual bowl portion size. The side of guac fills the bowl up more than anything else, WTF? Feels like this location actively tries to give you less food; you guys are a chain, shouldn't there be some consistency in the portions??? This time around, feels like I got half a scoop of rice on one bowl and a quarter of a scoop of rice on the other, where's the quality control? It's been going on for onto 2 years now. Anywhere else, you usually get 1 bowl for the price of 1. This location, it's like buy 1 for the price of 2. This time around, you guys screwed me; it was a buy 1 for the price of 3. So I work a couple doors down and a few weeks ago, my employer went to make an order for all of us and we basically got REALLY bad customer service from a girl with long hair and pink peek-a-boos and made my coworker feel like she had to just take the bowls as they come because the worker was rolling her eyes and even said "you're really going to make this complicated?.." and ended up not even eating her food since it wasn't made correctly. My other coworker went to talk to the manager that day and the male manager on staff said "I don't think she said that".. After that experience, none of our staff has ordered from there. Well today I really felt like eating chipotle. At 11:30 on October 15th I came in and said worker was there, I let the gentleman at the register know that I would prefer my bowl made by someone else. When it came to my bowl, the manager who was a shorter woman with black hair really did awesome at just taking my order and getting me out of there as soon as possible, fluidly with minimal awkwardness. I feel like she is a great model of what a manager looks/acts like. She did her job exceptionally well. Thank you so much! I will be returning and hoping she's there every time. I haven't been to Chipotle for years. Now that I'm on the Whole30 lifestyle I go to them when the rest of the family gets take out. It is under Lifestyle Meals I believe and it is already Whole30 compliant and the spices with natural lime juice is so good. I add sofritas (spicy tofu) and it makes it just that much better. My daughter in on the other hand gets a double wrapped burrito that smells so good. She chows down!!! Love Chipotle and love that Door Dash delivers. This pic speaks for itself. The employees are rude, it's dirty, and the food is always low and looks like it's been sitting there for hours. I walk into the restaurant and this employee with big pink lashes walks right in front of me and cuts me off in the rudest way. I let it go , grab my pickup , and leave. I check my food before I even drive and what even is this ??? This was $12 ! I go back and again , the rude girl with pink lashes asks me what the problem is. So I asked if she could make me a new one because this was hideous and COLD. She looked at my order and said, "Well you didn't order any extra so those are your portion sizes." I said I know I didn't order any extra , but genuinely look at it ! This looks like someone threw it across the room !! Then she interrupts me and goes to the back and sings "Audreyyy!!" in such a petty way. She comes out and says she made it and everything's "technically correct" so she's not gonna fix it.
