This place was HAMMERED and usually is. I remember years ago when all there was here was a glorified truck stop and a jack-in-the-box. Now there's tons of stuff. This Chipotle is certainly a popular destination as one of the few healthier choices compared to the other things around. Despite the line that went all the way out the back door, it was still a brief wait (maybe about 10 minutes) which was well worth it after all that time on the road. I was certainly impressed with how quickly they got through the line. The portions were good and that was nice after the last trip I took to another location and they were the skimpiest ever with the meats. The worst customer service ever received. When I asked the girl her name she refused to give me her name. Manager couldn't speak up properly when I was trying to explain the situation. I walked in at 9:55 pm and was told by girl who works there that I need to hurry up and order because once it's 10 I won't be able to get my food. Which is bull because I know how registers work and they don't just lock down at 10. She was throwing my food into the bowl without asking. Literally throwing food- no joke. Another packed Chipotle... Ok, I don't like 'hating' Chipotle, but I've been to WAY better. The workers here seemed like they really needed to take a breath because they were in quite a huge as hurry with. You can expect that at any Chipotle but this one was excessive... like crazy to the point where it made me feel extremely uncomfortable and got "WTF?". What could be better than a burrito on that long drive from SF to LA? I feel that this Chipotle serves up the exact same meal as every other one, which is a feat when you have the traffic from all the travelers on the I-5. Rude service, no hand sanitizer, overly crowded, poor hygiene, and unsanitary. Server was lifting boxes, touching surfaces and register and then handling food. When I asked them to put a new pair of gloves on before cutting my quesadilla, the server walked away leaving food on counter, never to return. I will be reporting to health department. read more

Worst online ordering experience I've ever had from a chipotle. First of all, the order was 10 minutes later than promised. Second, they left out one of our bowls. Finally, when they finally made me my bowl, they left multiple ingredients out. None of the employees seemed to care and had zero time awareness. I don't understand the bad reviews that this place has received. The times that I've gone, the food has been good and the service as well. I ordered a steak bowl the last time I went in. Because I had to wait for the steak to be ready, they offered me my meal for free. They didn't need to do that but I appreciate that they offered to compensate for the wait. Now this location, understandably, is always pretty busy. For those people complaining about long lines and having to wait...ITS A FREAKIN REST AREA. It's the last good food stop before traveling up and down the mountain so if you're expecting a quick and easy stop, maybe find another place further along. I understand that with all the outlet employees and travelers this place can get congested. Overall, it isn't any worse than other chipotles I've been to. read more

Chipotle is a great restaurant, but this location is atrocious. I bought food at this location around 2:30pm on Friday March 6,2015. The service was awful. The women behind the counter seemed frustrated to the point of rage. I ordered a bowl. The lady slapped the half scoop of rice in the bowl with such force that it almost spilled out. Same with the meager scoop of beans. The woman serving the veggies/guacamole/salsa hardly spoke, only grunted "what" (I assume meaning what would you like?). I asked for salsa. She never made eye contact. Instead of serving it she proceeded to clean the counter top. I stood and waited for 30-45 seconds before she decided to serve my salsa. By the time I got to the cash register woman I decided to say something: "Is this a sucky job?" She replied "no". I said "well it seems to be because those ladies seem really unhappy and almost missed my bowl when they served my food; look, it's dripping over the sides!" She mumbled an apology. Even at the napkin/plasticware station a customer, overhearing me complain to my girlfriend about how rudely we had been treated, piped up and exclaimed "they were so rude to me!" The last straw was that the beans and rice were hard and undercooked. I ate two bites, then exited quickly, leaving the partly eaten bowl on the table. Conclusion: There's so much traffic at this location, due to it's proximity to interstate 5, that I'm guessing no amount of bad reviews would effect their business. Still, I'll review in the hope that my complaint, and others, will be heard. read more

I've been to many Chipotles, and this one stands out as one of the worst. The bathrooms were terrible - one toilet was clogged beyond use, one sink was completely broken (faucet was missing), and the hand dryer did not work (no paper towels either). My burrito was completely flavorless. Once in a while I got a slight taste of corn, but for the most part it was tasteless mush. Even worse, the guac tasted like fish - I think it may have been expired? Either way it was a terrible dining experience, I just hope I don't get food poisoning. read more

I came during the PM shift on Sunday the team members were SO RUDE! As soon as we walked in we weren't welcomed, then when we went up to order and the girl that served us made it seem like we were bothering her by coming in. All the team members that were there were giving us dirty looks like we were inconveniencing all of them. They still had a WHOLE HOUR until they closed so THEY NEED TO CHILL OUT! The girl that rang us up rolled her eyes when we wanted to pay separate.. guess what home girl, WE SAW IT! The girls at the counter, especially the one with the difficult job of wrapping the burritos and handing them to the cashier are incredibly rude. I asked for a small bag of chips and she told me I could only have a large bag. I told her I can't eat a big bag and wouldn't want one that I'd like a small bag she said no again. When I asked why she said " because I can't sell you the small one." I asked why three times and got the same broken record. I've been to chipotle up and down CA and have never been told I couldn't have a small bag. Why would you rather loose a whole sale by forcing someone to eat something they don't want when you can give them what they want and are willing to pay for. Wooooowww!! So, I read about 3 bad reviews on here but I gave them the benefit of the doubt anyways because it's 9pm and my boys are hungry... So here goes: my boys and I are standing in a line of about 5 people ahead of me and 2 people behind us... Not too bad, right? Well, the girl who was making my beef burrito (Isabelle) is going so fast that she accidentally spills sour cream over the counter, she got it all over my foil paper and she was just "off" of her game... I said nothing about the sour cream, just watched her. She then threw a handful of lettuce into the burrito. Before the lettuce could even settle into the burrito, she was already rolling the burrito into a BALL!! Hahaha!! No joke!! We're going to eat the burrito in the car!! My 10 year old would've made such a mess trying to eat a "burrito ball"! So I stopped her and said "can you please unroll that and make it right?" And she turns to me, grabbing my burrito and yells "this is what a burrito looks like!!!" Wtf!!! She yelled at me!!! So I ask "where's your manager?" And she points at a girl next to her (joe) and still yelling she says "she's right here!"... Poor Joe looks mortified and in a really low voice, asks her to just wrap my burrito right. If the manager was standing there watching this whole show, why didn't she speak up sooner?!??! How in the world are you going to allow an employee to yell at a customer?! Worst part of this is that my family loves chipotle! We usually eat at the chipotle in Valencia ca off of Newhall ranch rd. (the one closest to our house) Someone needs to address this girl. Ok, so you didn't have pork carnitas. Fine, that's a larger problem. But your staff is not very friendly. Also, as I ordered a quesadilla, she opened that quesadilla maker as if she was making my order. So, when it came out of the maker, I saw it went to the customer in front of me. I asked if that was mine and the lady asked if mine had chicken. I replied yes and she gave me this condescending reply that my quesadilla was in the maker behind them and threw back the quesadilla that I thought was mine back into the order pile of the customer in front of me. The tables were dirty but the employee attitudes were dirtier. They should learn that a smile goes a long way and that courtesy is part of their job description. The girl named Jessica is the one that got our food ready and I have been wanting to try the Chorizo for awhile now and she happily gave me a sample! So nice!
