This is my go-to Chipotle for lunch when I'm working. I always order in the app for pickup and my order is always accurate, ready, and delicious! I really liked the Burrito Bowls with extra cheese, they really load it up with cheese! I tend to get whatever protein is limited time only (Carne Asada, Chicken Al Pastor, etc). I've been getting a Side Cup of Chicken to get extra protein recently, and I think it is worth the price. The food is always cooked well/tastes good, and they honor my requests for salsas/sour cream on the side. The Red Chimichurri was tasty and I liked it with the Carne Asada itself, but the flavor was really strong, so I didn't like it mixed in the bowl. I'm glad they give you this on the side! read more

Honestly nothing bad to say here. If you get double brisket, guac, and queso, these bowls are FULL. I've also previously ordered just a regular chicken bowl and it's also full. This Chipotle does a disservice to the Chipotle brand. If you have a craving for Chipotle while in Durham, I encourage you visit another Chipotle location. Online orders are regularly ready 30-60 minutes after the 'promised time', and the store places them on the front counter rather than on the shelf designated for online orders, leading to a large crowd of (irate) customers at the front of the store. It seems only the loudest/angriest customers get their orders to 'jump' the in-person line. The in-person order line moves slowly, however all of these customers are served prior to those who ordered online. read more

Such a shame how the quality of these businesses are going down hill. The kids working were very nice and very busy but not on the ball quick enough before we walked in and noticed garbage all over the floors.. all the tables were dirty.. all the garbages indoor and outside were overflowing. This would not be an issue when I worked in the fast foods restaurants and we had to bust our butt to make sure that dining room was clean and garbages weren't overflowing and Floors were clean. Barely rice and much less beans. The employee adding the chicken looked their co-worker and said they ran out of chicken in the container and didn't think to add more from the back or from recently cooked chicken. We decided to grab a bite to eat here one evening. This place was super busy and parking was a pain. Literally horrible parking!!! Clearly not enough parking for the three restaurants in this area. I've never eaten at Chipotle but out of 4-5 places within feet of each other, it was the least crowded so I went there(didn't have time for a wait). I got the burrito veggie bowl with chips and a drink. It was $11.07 which I think is a bit much for a quick lunch. It was a lot of food though! I liked the flavor and I ate three-quarter of the bowl. I literally could not eat dinner because I was still so full. I don't like that feeling. The chips were okay - a bit stale and not salty enough; i brought most of them home to eat later. There is no excuse for rude employees and chipotle just lost two life long customers because of these two women. The cashier cassandra and the girl packing to go orders need training on teamwork and customer service. When my husband and I entered the store, it was dinner time do the line was long(no big deal) but before getting in the line I went up and asked the cashier if they had plenty of chips, she said they did, so I got in the line. There was probably 10 to 15 people in front of me. By the time I placed my order they had ran out of chips. I asked her how long it would take to get more and she responded with 1 to 2 minutes. I waited 20 minutes for chips and by the time I finally got them my food was cold. There was a guy cooking chips but Cassandra and the girl packing the to go orders did not want to go in the back and package them so they were just sitting on the counter (getting cold). The girl packing the to go orders finally did go back there and packed the ones she needed for to go orders for people that were not in the store. I asked her if I could have one of those because I had been waiting do long and she told me no. Cassandra finally went and packed my chips along w the other customers waiting behind me after I asked her more than once. Both of these employees need training in customer service and team work. They were also out of salsa (red)..not a huge deal but clearly no one was helping the front line keep items stocked. This is the second time ordering food from this location. I ordered a couple of months ago and the food wasn't very good at all. I ordered a Bowl and the chicken was very dry and didn't have any flavor to it. Today I thought I would just order some chips and guacamole for the Super Bowl but when I got home I just wanted to sample it and the chips were beyond stale. So now I have guacamole with no chips. Chipotle on Erwin Road, Durham is close to work, so I used to go frequently. Then the quality went downhill. After not going all summer, I tried it again. I ordered a salad, rice on the side, chicken, salsa, sour cream, cheese and guac. The lettuce is no longer romaine, it's a combo of brown edged romaine, possible spinach or kale. The chicken was minimal, so I asked for more and I got 2 extra pieces, like the server was giving out gold or something. They were moderately generous on the extras. The rice on the side was crunchy, yet soggy. How does that even happen? The salad as a whole just tasted off, bitter? The chicken was noticeably minimal, so you really didn't even taste it much, but it was charred, not a good charred. It just didn't taste the same as it used to. October 11, 2022 at 8:15pm, I placed an delivery for the new garlic guajillo bowl to satiate my hunger. I was under the impression that this new protein Chipotle was advertising would be full of flavor to justify the $16 price tag that they placed upon it. Unfortunately, that is not what I received. What was given was steak pieces tougher than than anything I've ever attempted to eat before and food more bland than a cracker. It was very, very underwhelming. On top of all that, when receiving my delivery, my bag had no warmth to it at all. Quite honestly, this meal, if I can even call it that, upset my night. Who wouldn't be upset when you spent damn near $20 dollars for a singular bowl with the most tasteless, tough, and cold meat. I sent in a complaint on the website recently and as compensation I was sent a BOGO (Buy One Get One) coupon. Not to mention, the complaint system is completely automated so I wasn't even connected to a human to solve my issue. I would like to speak to a human to receive some other form of compensation to this so I can take my business elsewhere or a different location. Also, the audacity you have to think that I want to spend any more money with this company after this recent experience? I will not, at least, not this location. These are harsh words, but also the truth. The crew, but specifically the gentleman working register Monday evening on April 18th is utterly incompetent. My mobile order (as well as countless others) was 45 mins late. And after waiting, I finally approached gentleman behind counter for a refund (never got my food) and he scribbled a customer service number on a dirty napkin for me to call. (Chipotle did fully refund me.) Also, while I was waiting for my mobile order, I witnessed multiple orders being stolen right off the front counter. I know they were stolen because the rightful owner would come in shortly after and their food was gone. This happened at least twice in a span of 20-30 mins. Meanwhile gentleman behind counter paid no attention to any of it. AND on top of all this, the restaurant itself was incredibly unclean. Food all over the tables. Crumbled up, dirty napkins on the ground. Plasticware spread over out the counter. I rarely write reviews but this place was the WORST run Chipotle's I've ever been to. I USED to like Chipotle. Then I ordered from the one on N. Roxboro. I placed and online pickup order for a steak salad. Steak portion was small, which, that didn't surprise me. Chipotle is notorious for skimping the **** out on their protein portions. What shocked me, to the point that I won't be returning to Chipotle, is the fact that I got maybe 5 sprigs of salad greens in a salad order. This isn't even sufficient for a child's order. So I paid about $15 for less food than I can find lying in the gutters on N. Roxboro. Guess I'll be going out for a second lunch today. I'm glad we also have a Moe's in town-- they're friendlier, don't skimp on basic ingredients and they don't charge for chips and salsa. The owner of this location needs to do better for their employees. The other night (4/7/22) they were EXTREMELY backed up with only three people running the facility. There were issues on my end due to issues with DoorDash and the online ordering for this location was glitchy as well. The employees were, understandably, stressed, but still did their very best despite the number of folks having to wait for so long. A number of customers were sympathetic to their situation and we tried to be as positive and encouraging, but they were stretched to their limits. My hat's off to them, but the owner needs to get in there and sort some things out. This is not the type of thing that should rest solely on the shoulders of those knee-deep in the weeds who are doing their best with what they have. I *LOVE* Chipotle. But this one needs some serious work. I saw employees toss meat back into the serving containers after it had been sitting out on the prep area. They also picked out of other bins to toss it into others. My steak only burrito had veggie burrito filling in it. Scam? Negligence? Apathy? The guy wrapping my burrito was so bad I almost asked if I could do it myself. A line was building behind even though it was almost 3pm. He also squeezed out all the juices while "rolling" my burrito leaving my to go order a soggy mess with filling outside the burrito. Highly irregular cuts and cooks on the meats. "Yeah, well, he pissed me off!" Should never be said while in ear shot (let alone while on the front line) of a customer based establishment. Then I get in line and they tell me to go to the register to pickup when I get down there they tell me it'll be done asap but I had to wait another 25 mins and all the people that were in line behind me got their food and left . The employees seemed a bit cranky like they didn't want to be there, even when you try to use a friendly tone as a customer and get nothing back it's a little disappointing. Food was standard, not stellar. They had a sign that the liquor license at this location is still pending. The food was ok, nothing great. I seem to always have bad luck with the employees bringing the fresh ingredients right after my bowl gets filled, next time I'll make the boy go first! We frequent this location simply because it's close to our house. Tonight we had the best experience we've had in our 3 years living in Durham. Leo and his manager made sure we left happy. They stopped and made us fresh rice and pico. We didn't feel rushed or like our orders were just thrown together. The two of them may have made us regulars again.
