We had 3 tricky windows (a…read morevery, very large window; a sliding door; and a kitchen sink window with a small "eyelash" at the top) that I wasn't sure that we would be able to put Lutron smart blinds on but he was able to come up with a very elegant solution for all 3 that was also within our budget. He did a great job of walking us through all of our options, pros/cons of each, and provided us recommendations that felt tailored to our situation & budget (ie, I never felt like I was being upsold on anything). After having an in-home consultation to go over everything and take measurements we placed our order. The day of install, James and a colleague arrived on-time and installed the 9 blinds in less than an hour (seriously, they were so fast). They were very professional and respectful of our home (eg, cleaned up after themselves). There was a delivery issue with one of blinds (not Budget Blinds fault) and James sorted the issue that day and came by outside of business hours to finish the install for that last blind, which was greatly appreciated. Four months later and I am still in love with the Lutron smart blinds--one of the best upgrades we made to our home. I was the most hesitant about the shade for the kitchen sink window, as I was having trouble visualizing what it would look like, but that shade turned out absolutely beautiful. I got a few quotes from vendors I had reached out to on Yelp (thank goodness for Yelp) after first trying a personal referral from a friend that went poorly. I had two vendors come over and I like the brand of product that Paul brought for cellular shades, Comfortex. They had all sorts of beautiful colors and textures for the fabric cellular shades I had, and it was hard to choose! Another vendor I had come to my house did not have this brand, but had a brand that did not offer a fabric black-out cellular shade. I am really glad I had ABC Shades come over first so that I could see what was out there first. The shades have been installed and they are beautiful. Everything from start to finish was smooth and everything about the process was seamless. Having these new shades have really perked up the appearance of the 3 rooms I had them installed in. I knew they were not going to be cheap, but the fact is that these are custom-built for my windows, and I was able to select a lovely fabric. I also selected a higher end fabric so that I could get exactly what I want because I actually keep my shades closed almost 100% of the time, so I want to make sure I like looking at them. Using the leftover fabric to make 2 extra short curtains for my kitchen windows as well. They look absolutely adorable and function well in both places. My purpose was having something upstairs to keep some privacy but does't block the light. They look great. I was wandering inside for quite a while and didn't know Which piece to pick until the sweet lady introduced me this fabric. I like all my curtains a lot and for sure will come back next time.
