Poor Linda didn't even know we were arriving and she was clearly ready for some alone time with a glass of wine, but she was ever so gracious in showing us around the house and even upgraded our room for us. Most amazingly, she asked if we had any food restrictions for breakfast the next morning and barely blinked an eye when I told her that I eat anything, but my husband is vegan. Although out of her comfort zone, Linda not only stepped up to the challenge, she delivered! She even made separate dishes for each of us even though told her that was unnecessary (after all, **I** don't make two meals at home!) Our upstairs "journey room" was huge -- could've accommodated 2 more people -- in addition to being extremely clean and comfortable....even the bath towels seemed extra soft and fluffy. We all slept great in VERY comfortable beds and enjoyed meeting Judy, the owner, who made us an AWESOME breakfast of bacon, cooked-to-order eggs and a Victorian waffle bar (delicious heart-shaped waffles, pecans, strawberries, whipped cream and sugar, all in authentic Victorian servingware), plus my son was served his milk in a lidded Minions cup! Homemade cookies and other snacks are available in the guest kitchen (peanuts, raisins, popcorn, apples), as well as cold drinks in the common-use fridge, not far from the pool table. We were allowed to bring our bikes that we took to Callaway Gardens today inside overnight. We forgot one of my son's toys and Judy called to tell us, and offered us Cokes when we swung back by to get it. She is an incredibly attentive hostess, who even wears Victorian era dress. When I shared this with Jenny on the phone, she said, "I'll take care of you guys" with Southern charm and made me feel so comfortable that I booked our week-long accommodation on the spot! Everything was perfect! The Cottonmill Suite was so lovely - spotless, the bed was comfortable, we had AC, flatscreen tv and more than enough space to relax and unwind! Every morning we were spoiled with a yummy breakfast, with eggs from their local farm (which my daughter got to visit), pancakes, bacon....and the works! Every afternoon, there were free goodies available....including banana bread & brownies! On Friday night, we enjoyed a candlelight dinner, with dessert brought up to our room. Jenny & Teddy (and all the workers) were so great! Every need and request was met with a smile and "yes, ma'am." Hands down, this is the place to stay when you're in the area. When we arrived, Scott greeted us and immediately gave us a tour and told us about the history of their amazing 3 story 1889 Victorian home. Their Bed & Breakfast is such a beautiful house with so much character. I just love all the original wood work throughout the house and the original stained glass window that overlooks the gorgeous wooden stair case. They offer 4 rooms to stay in. Each room has a fireplace and 3 rooms have a private bathroom. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The first night a fell asleep with the aroma of a crumb cake that Megan was baking for the next morning. Scott and Megan are very friendly and are great hosts, along with their adorable children. The next time I travel near Anniston, Alabama I will definitely stay here again!

We went downstairs for breakfast and Scott's oldest daughter had gotten some toys out for our son-they had a great time playing together. Breakfast was delicious and it was nice to be able to sit down with the Brightwell family. Scott and Megan were wonderful hosts and their children are kind, sweet and very bright. If you have children and are worried about traveling with them, don't be! We never felt like our child didn't have space to run around or that he had to be quite the whole time.
