My experience started when my vehicle began overheating. After an initial inspection at O'Reilly Auto Parts, I attempted to drive it to Mobile Mechanic MT as they were the only shop that was open. I ultimately had to pull over when the check engine light came on, and AAA towed the vehicle to their shop. The original repair was a radiator replacement, spark plugs, and thermostat. Unfortunately, I picked up the vehicle on April 8th and immediately discovered several problems that were not present when I brought it in. Immediately after pickup: -The AC was no longer blowing cold air, and during my second visit I observed the mechanic watching a tutorial video on how to recharge the AC. -The driver side hood latch was malfunctioning and eventually would not latch. -The vehicle developed electrical issues affecting the blower motor and ambient lighting. -My tire was also damaged and subsequently went flat. -The air intake cover had been improperly handled, with retaining clips apparently lost and the cover needing to be repositioned. After the second visit to address these issues, I observed paint damage and gouging around the front bumper, hood, and front left fender. The most concerning issue was the hood latch. While driving the vehicle back to the shop, the hood actually began lifting upward because it would not properly latch. I have video documenting the vehicle while it was still at the shop, including footage showing the hood intact and footage of the lead technician working around the driver side hood latch area. There is also footage showing a flathead screwdriver being used on the bumper, latch, and hood. When I brought the vehicle back and discussed the new problems, the owner immediately dismissed my concerns, stating that all of the issues were pre existing. The situation got worse. When the vehicle was subsequently left at the shop, the hood was eventually cracked. I also documented additional damage to the bumper that occurred while the hood was being pried open. The vehicle then sat on their lot for approximately five days neglected before I returned on April 18th to retrieve it. Throughout this process, I experienced what other reviewers have apparently experienced as well; lack of communication, no invoice, failure to return calls, and difficulty getting anyone to take responsibility for problems that appeared after their work. At several points, I had to call from another phone number just to get an answer. I also found my interaction with the owner particularly concerning. When I called, the owner identified himself as "Sky," which shows he wasn't forthcoming with his real name Andrew Santiago. He subsequently would not shake my hand, even after insisting upon it twice. Don't take my word for it. I have video documentation of the vehicle before and after the work, the condition of the vehicle while it was at the shop, the work being performed around the affected areas, and conversations regarding the resulting damage. Additionally, the loaner vehicle I was given contains documents from the last two customers who have used their loaner car. I have their signatures, birthdates, dl numbers, social security numbers, phone numbers, and much more. Toyota is so lazy and unprofessional. They don't care about your safety or private information. SO when I drive around I have light leaks, I looked at another shop but after speaking to them they said a guy from Billings comes out to do it for them about once a month. Finally found BOS and called them up, the young lady was very friendly in setting up the appointment. They got me in that week and the turn around time was great, price was fair too! Walked down the road, had some lunch and came back to see our truck waiting for us. After getting everything settled we were very pleased, EXCELLENT JOB. The attention to detail was perfect, nicely laid, quick turn around and fair price. I couldn't ask for anything else and will be taking anything I need tinted in to these guys. I forgot to mention they placed a handy little sticker by the window controls to remind you not to roll down the windows for a couple days, nice touch. Sometimes in Bozeman great customer service is hard to find, give these guys a try this is what Montana is really like. Oh they also do stereo stuff here, but that's not really my things, they did have some nice looking stuff in the shop though.

I immediately returned, but after a brief inspection I was told there was nothing wrong. When I left the shop, the warning alarm came on again. I called Auto Stop, explained that the warning had returned, and was again assured there was nothing wrong. I was told to wait and see if the alarm came on again after driving. Unfortunately, the problem persisted, and I could smell coolant burning on the hot engine. I made it home just before coolant began dripping from the vehicle. At that point, I had the van towed to another repair shop. The second shop found that the primary coolant hose from the reservoir to the engine had been installed incorrectly and was approximately 3/4 inch too short. They also discovered a second hose with a large bulge that was on the verge of rupturing. Both issues required immediate repair. What disappointed me most was not simply that mistakes were made, but that my concerns were repeatedly dismissed. After the warning alarm came on twice within minutes of leaving the shop, I expected a thorough inspection of the cooling system rather than reassurance that nothing was wrong. Because of the improper installation, I incurred more than $500 in additional repair costs, plus the cost of towing the vehicle to another shop. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Auto Stop. The quality of the installation, the lack of careful follow-up, and the poor customer service left me with significant additional expense and inconvenience.

He saves us money where he can but never at the expense of the longevity of our vehicles. The part would be too expensive. I have an old car. It's a 96 Toyota, which runs fine. It only has a 138000 miles on it. And only after a year because I finally quit calling him 20. Wouldn't schedule my appointment and now I'm trying to find the part myself and ask them once I found it. Could he put it in and again? He's making excuses and telling me, oh yes, I can do that. So I have the place call him to ask him if it's the correct part. And he says, I don't know what part she needs. I haven't seen the car for a year when I literally just called him 10 minutes prior he did not know I was on the line. Listening at that point I called him back and asked if he even wanted to do the work all of a sudden, the call was escalated to the point. He hung up on me. I called him back and asked him exactly what the deal was. And he says he doesn't want to do a bunch of work that he's not gonna get paid for and I said, who told you, you weren't gonna get paid. So finally, we get to the place where he says that he's not going to work on my car because he could not sleep at night. Knowing that the air conditioner would cost more than the car's worth. But he can sleep perfectly fine knowing that I have to drive a car without air conditioning make that makes sense, and it only took a year to get that answer. And to be treated like complete trash by a complete chauvinist.
