Holy moly! Fresh made churros with homemade sauce. I want to eat all of them. Seriously, so good. Fried perfectly and served hot. The only disappointment is that they are only open on Saturday afternoons.

This salsa was really good. It was very spicy and I already had a little bit of a runny nose so it gave me a little bit more of a runny nose, but I couldn't stop eating it. I will be going again enjoyed it, and the tamales were good too!

Unfortunately, this visit was very different. We were seated quickly and given menus, but then no one came to greet us or take care of us. We watched several other tables get seated and receive chips and salsa while we continued waiting. The restaurant was somewhat busy, so at first we assumed they were just behind. After waiting quite a while, I finally got up and spoke with one of the managers at the front. He immediately apologized and sent someone over to our table, who was also very apologetic. We ordered two tamales as an appetizer--which were amazing and definitely lived up to what they are known for--and shared the enchiladas since they come with four. Our first server brought the tamales and then told us that Nadia would be taking over our table. However, we never saw Nadia. Eventually, the other server brought our enchiladas, which were also very good. Unfortunately, after that, no one came back to check on us for the remainder of the meal. I had ordered water with ice, which had completely melted, and honestly wished I had ordered something else because there was never an opportunity to ask. At that point, it felt like we had once again been forgotten. A different manager eventually came over and apologized again. He offered to pay for our dinner, which was an incredibly generous gesture and very much appreciated. The whole situation was a little awkward because we could see staff at the front discussing the situation and looking over at our table, but then no one actually came back to check on us. When we were ready to leave, I finally got up and asked if there was anything we needed to do before leaving. Thankfully, the manager confirmed everything had been taken care of. I really have to give credit to the restaurant managers for recognizing the situation and doing their best to make it right. We have eaten here several times before and the food has consistently been excellent, especially the tamales. Because of our previous experiences and the way management handled this situation, we will definitely be back. Hopefully, this was just an unfortunate one-off experience because La Casa del Tamal truly has amazing food.

I started following them on Instagram so I know where they will be and we have gone to their food trucks 5 times in the last month. Needless to say we are addicted. The garlic anoli sauce is divine and to my surprise the rice and salad pair perfectly with the chicken. I don't know what flavor the salad is but even my kids like it. They always give out free samples, if you don't believe me to try a sample. They are quick to get your order done and it's worth the wait if there is a line.

These guys were at the local "food truck night" well out of their normal rotation in Weber County…read more I'm not sure they were prepared for the distance, etc. They were 2 hours in to a 3 hour gig and out of grilled chicken. I opted for the fried chicken (Katsu) and tempura shrimp in the 2 meat plate. It came with rice, salad, and 2 potstickers. Nothing really stood out and everything was mostly bland. The grease they are frying in was ready for a change and it really tainted the chicken and shrimp. Rice was mushy and the potstickers were rock hard. Their printed menu prices on the side of the truck didn't match the fancy order kiosk which was also not real great. I'd skip this truck if I come across it again.
