Please know this Dr. Isn't actually a ob gyn she is accredited to a point. But not the same as an actual obstetrics and gynecology. She is limited. Doesn't have the entire gamet of hormones either. She will tell you pellets are not as good as her gel. She will put you on what she uses only. The problem with me was I listened to her and she completely changed what did work for me and I trusted her judgment. My mistake but she is convincing. I ended up a complete mess. For several months. I was given the wrong doses, the wrong testosterone and the wrong doses of thyroid. Please I implore you to do your research! If you need a dietary needs, great see her. But if you're going in to do your hormones, they only have what they use. Not pellets! Also, yes it's cash based. They also take many seasonal vacations. So if your a mess like I was, good luck. The entire staff leaves 10 days 4x a year, no back back up staff or on call. You are screwed. I'm still recovering from this place. Do your research. Website says: Dr. Chinn is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, which means she was trained to take care of the person within the patient. Her approach is inherently integrative & truly holistic.  Dr. Chinn believes it is hard to treat a condition without addressing its full context, and she knows that laughter truly is the best medicine. How often do you hear that someone is EXCITED about their Gyno appointment? Not often? Never? Me either! Until now!!! I feel the need to tell the world about this place! First and foremost, I have received the absolute most thoughtful and personalized care of any healthcare facility I have ever been to. Each time I leave, I have to hold back the tears because I'm overwhelmed with what an incredible experience I had; no joke. I have never had a doctor AND their entire team so focused on patient comfort and care. These ladies not only know their stuff, they make sure you understand, too! Everything from education to procedures to finances are all completely transparent and they offer care credit for those who need! It's amongst one of my favorite things about the entire place; their transparency! Ugh I wish every woman in the world had the opportunity to be cared for the way I feel cared for at Chinn GYN! If you live close enough to drive to Mt.Vernon for your Gyno needs, I seriously recommend checking out what Chinn GYN has to offer! It might change your life, like it's already changing mine! In my 43 years I've visited many ob/gyn's - some good, some not so much... I have NEVER had fun or enjoyed my time at ANY GYN appt, ever - UNTIL ChinnGyn. Dr. Chinn is the easiest person to talk to about anything - whether it is vaginas or vacations. She was able to solve a problem that had a great negative impact on my life for 4 years - in one 30 minute office appointment. I've since started seeing her for hair removal, stretch mark removal, and other facial services. I still can't believe there is ONE provider who can take care of not just one part of me but ALL parts of me. Whether you see her for your yearly exam or make the (very wise) choice to have her as your primary physician you will have no regrets. Hands down THE best medical care I have ever received...
