Skagit…read moreFamily Health offer at-home births, which is wonderful, and they have been respectful of my wishes to avoid Rhogam this pregnancy, vitamin k (which babe can get from breast milk instead), erythromycin, avoiding all unecessary inoculations (really, what is my risk of tetanus or diptheria, good God, and give me the flu any day over that shot) more than one ultrasound, and a non-medicated birth. The staff is overall kind and helpful, though you really still have to advocate for yourself and do your own research. I am horrified however, that the big sign at the front counter is a promotion for profitable covid and flu vaccines, and that they do give them to pregnant women, knowing that the first is experimental and not studied on pregnant women in safety trials, and that the cdc which profits from big ph@rma repeatedly has to "quell" reports that the flu vax causes miscarriages...as if constantly denying and censoring something makes it true? Why do they need to go through such lengths unless there are problems? In pg. 47-49 of the 174 pg Pfizer trial document, pregnant women were not even supposed to be in the presence of someone who had been given the inoculation... magically we can now inject the unknown contents straight into their bodies, bypassing the skin and gut barriers, and affecting baby who knows how. In the trials, participants could not have unprotected sex for 28 days due to risk of birth defects, and we should all know that Pfizer has paid off 4 billion in fraud, bribery and false claims in the last 12 years ( justice.gov), and has no liability for what happens to pregnant women due to an act from 1986 made after the disaster of the 1976 swine mass-vax campaign.... In the va ers data, as of 1-23-22, there have been reported 3,692 miscarriages, 21,839 Menstrual Disorders, 8,222 Vaginal/Uterine Haemorrhage (All Ages), 440 Caesarean / Preterm Labour / Birth Difficulties and 103 Stillbirths. These records could be 1-10% of the actual data. I read a comment from a lady that said that her pastor had to counsel 5 women in her church after the Moms lost their babies after the jab. I was deceived into taking it last Feb. while breastfeeding my 3 year old (not pregnant at the time), and she had a ton of behavioral issues around that time, and my immune system and heart have felt off this year. Now I know partly why! Good thing I did so many detoxes before conceiving 4 months later, though I don't know longterm risks, and would NEVER have taken it if I had known what I know now. :( I know this is long, but I hope to be the advocate for women, to avoid the promotion in the sign, and find out all the censored data that they can to protect their babies. I wish I didn't have to defend myself and work so hard to find data and research and not just go with the flow, even in an alternative clinic, but such is life.

As an expectant first time mom, I wanted to be under the care of a midwife for my pregnancy. I…read moreoriginally chose this group because they have privileges at Surrey Memorial Hospital, which is where I wanted to deliver. The group offers private sessions, but prefers to operate through group classes with mini one on ones during the class. These classes put you with 9 other couples all due in the same month, and you spend the time learning about pregnancy, birth and parenthood while also building a support system of other parents and getting to know the midwives. The midwives themselves are an excellent team. They provided my husband and I with information about all options, while letting us know what their preferred methods were without judgement. For example, they supported me without exception for my planned medicated birth in the hospital. My actual delivery was done with midwife Allison Burback. She was amazing, and helped me through my son's unexpected early birth. She's an extremely knowledge midwife, but also a wonderful person who is easy to work with. Her and the other midwives also provided amazing support for me and my family during our post delivery hospital stay and then during all of our postpartum care. If you are looking for a midwife to help with your home birth or delivery at Surrey Memorial Hospital, I would highly recommend the midwives in this group.

Like the other reviewer said, they are extremely professional - always on time for appointments and they're good at communicating by text, phone, and email. At first I thought 3 midwives would be too many people but they were all essential to the process. They are on top of the medical side of things, they were able to coach me through some complications, administer an IV and stitches. They were so encouraging and helpful during the birth, stayed with me for hours afterwards to make sure we were both doing great, and even did a load of laundry! I woke up to clean clothes the next day : ) I can't recommend these ladies enough. Each of them are so compassionate and dedicated to their art. Midwives will hold your hand and walk you from hell to heaven. Such a great experience!

They were caring, supportive, and helpful throughout, making sure my husband and I both felt heard and cared for. During the birth--which didn't go exactly as planned--they were capable, encouraging, and made me feel safe in spite of pain and fear. After the baby was born, we struggled for her to gain weight. Eloisa was there for us 100%, answering texts at all hours, lending us baby scales, and connecting us with specialists. She even helped us source safe donor breast milk. We loved working with Eloisa and Hillary and would do so again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

My wife and I had the incredible privilege of welcoming our baby at Special Delivery Co, and I…read morecan't recommend this place enough. We came in for our regular appointments throughout her pregnancy until our little one arrived at 37 weeks, so we got to know the majority of the staff. From day one, everyone was genuinely kind, caring, and extremely professional. We also attended their birthing classes, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Molly, who taught them. She was absolutely amazing. She explained everything so clearly, gave us all the information we needed without pushing any particular path, and empowered us to make our own informed decisions. Those classes taught us so much that we walked into the birth feeling truly prepared and confident. I truly believe they played a major role in how smoothly everything went. When the big day came, Charlotte and Amy were the ones by our side. They were outstanding. As someone who grew up in a family of 8 where nearly everyone went into the medical field, I've been around professionals my whole life -- and I can spot the real deal. Charlotte, Amy, Molly, and the entire special delivery staff are true professionals who know exactly what they are doing, they made my wife feel safe, supported, and as comfortable as possible during labor. Their calm presence and expertise made all the difference. The facility itself is fantastic. The rooms are clean, organized, beautiful, and have that warm "homey" feeling that helps you relax. Being able to dim the lights was a huge plus for creating a peaceful environment. The walk-in showers were another thoughtful detail -- my wife was able to shower comfortably afterward without any difficult movements. Because of how comfortable and well-cared for my wife felt at Special Delivery, she was able to progress through her contractions without any setbacks and had a smooth, problem-free birth. I honestly could never imagine having our baby anywhere else. Thank you to Molly, Charlotte, Amy, and the entire Special Delivery team. You helped make one of the most important days of our lives truly special.

We started care at the Special Delivery Company but ultimately decided we felt more comfortable in a hospital setting for our first. It was not a horrible experience, not great either. I didn't feel heard and I didn't trust them. Now that I had the experience of pregnancy and birth with The Special Delivery Co I would NEVER do it anywhere else. I have felt so listened to, supported and I love that they will help you make a more holistic choice first but if more interventions are indicated I really trusted them. This was my first unmedicated birth my labor was SO much faster this time I think in large part because I actually felt safe and they did a good job helping keep the environment calm. Within 20 min of giving birth I was already telling my husband I would happily do that again haha . The main thing I appreciate about them is that I TRUSTED them. I knew if they suggested an intervention that it was indicated because they trust the human body to know what it's doing. BUT they also don't have their head in the clouds that nothing ever goes wrong. Just could not recommend them more! A truly wonderful experience!!

The first time I came to the birth center for a meet and greet type of appointment when searching for a midwife was like a breath of fresh air! All the staff were extremely nice, caring and helpful. The birth center is beautiful, and I was amazed with Darlene and Molly. They actually looked me in the eye when I talked (unlike my former OB that just stared at my chart)! They were extremely knowledgable and caring. I never feel rushed, and always feel like my care is a priority to them. My birth was an incredible experience and I went on to have another baby there in the same room two years later with Darlene and Bri. I am from California and All of my female friends gave birth at hospitals. My sister gave birth to a boy here and has been going there for check ups now. EVERYONE working here has been helpful before the birth; answer all my and my sisters question about baby, labor, preparation to welcome baby, etc During the labor; we got there around midnight. We called them and they were there ready. Professional nurse? With a lot of experience watch and log everything during the labor and the other one helped my sister gave a birth more easily ( constantly rubbing .. Checking.. Encouraging my sister) and after the birth of my nephew( answer all stupid questions(^^) we asked and give personal attention to the mommy and the baby. Absolutely recommend this place and I will definitely give birth to my baby if I live in seattle.( or look for midwives in California if there is any) What I realized from the whole experience of coming here and watching my sister give birth is that I don't need to go to a hospital to give birth. Trying to get the baby out naturally and getting healed( my sister) naturally are totally Possible!! Prices are reasonable and feeling of being cared and informed....We've got what we need:)highly highly recommend!!

After finally becoming pregnant, it was only natural to continue seeing the naturopathic midwife I…read morehad been seeing for my infertility. She already knew my history, and I had always known that she would be there to deliver my precious baby should I be so lucky to have one. Dr. Kim Bauer is very experienced, extremely loving and simply everything I had ever imagined a midwife would be. I always felt like all my questions were valid and I could genuinely tell she cared about her patients and their babies. When she informed me that she would be bringing on another midwife while she was on maternity leave I was a little anxious only because I liked Dr. Bauer so much. I have to admit though that from the moment I met Dr. Tamar Lieb, I was equally as thrilled to see her too. Both women so kind, so knowledgable and most importantly they clearly knew what they were doing! I had fabulous prenatal care and delivered a healthy baby boy one day before his due date. I had the unmedicated birth I always knew that I wanted with two professional midwives at the Bellingham Birth Center. Things actually went so well that I am strongly considering a home birth with Dr. Lieb and Dr. Bauer should I be so lucky to ever get blessed with another pregnancy. I also would like to add that I went through a bit of a rough patch following the birth of my baby emotionally. I was very anxious and unable to sleep for many days. Both Midwives were relentless with checking in on me and making sure that I was improving and had enough support. I felt their love and genuine concern every step of the way. Both of these midwives come highly recommended from me and I will most definitely use them again God willing!!!
