My finger is pricked for blood samples for a food allergy test and the receptionist charges $400 dollars, includes about 290 for the allergy test and $60 for the appointment! No mention of test cost whatsoever by the doctor. Avoid this clinic - all they're after is your money and they are extremely unprofessional !!

When speaking with her I noticed she seemed a bit out of her body as though she maybe had had too much coffee or something, she was not grounded and present. We spoke for a bit then as instructed I laid face down on the table and she went to my right lower leg to move it and pulled it sideways in the opposite direction it naturally goes - I felt a warm sensation and knew in that moment something was wrong. For two months after that my right knee was in pain whenever I would walk anywhere. That was a few years ago, and I still at times upon walking too much (not often but it still happens) I feel there is a pocket of air in my right knee or very extremely subtle discomfort. I'm very grateful it's so very subtle, but it's still there when it wasn't at all before I went to see this practitioner. I didn't even go in for my legs or knees, it was for my spine. It just felt like it was sloppy service which has resulted in some sort of permanent injury. A reminder to anyone who reads this - if you notice any practitioner you meet does not seem present and in their body, cancel the appointment. Even if you're in the room. That is your right and okay to do. Not in a mean way, be kind about it but do what you feel you need to do.

This was my worst blood draw experience in 37 years. I've never had issues with needles or blood…read moredraws, but Rida Wang (ND) was remarkably inept compared to even the most mediocre phlebotomists and nurses I've encountered in the past. I thought it was weird that a naturopath was doing a blood draw, but figured she must know what she's doing if she's confident enough to offer it as a service and had a student shadowing her. Boy was I wrong. She took an unnecessarily large needle, dug and twisted it in my right arm every which way and somehow still failed to locate a vein while causing intense pain. I literally had to yell, "STOP!" She then switched over to my left arm and eventually managed to draw 2 tubes of blood, but not without significant discomfort. The veins in both of my arms ended up feeling like they were on fire and were heavily bruised. This was also the first blood draw where I've had someone take a pen to mark the corners of my vein so that she wouldn't "miss with the needle". After I complained about them on Google, Rida Wang sent a formal document to me saying that neither she nor her student noticed my discomfort, which I vigorously dispute. Are you telling me with your "20 years of experience", you can't even tell when a patient yells stop, that they're in pain? A true professional would have explained upfront that they weren't that experienced and either offered an alternative or asked if I'd be okay with them practicing on me. However, Rida Wang claims that she's a seasoned professional who has "over 200" blood draws under her belt. This really only made the matter worse because if she's done this over 200 times, then there's even less of an excuse to have missed the mark so terribly. The only solution they offered me was a complimentary 15 minute session with Rida Wang for the bruising -- but why would I want that from a person who couldn't even do a basic blood draw? The damage has already been done. How would a consultation help with anything? Finally, I have reason to believe they're withholding results for the blood test. It's been a month, and instead of simply delivering on the product I already paid over $600 for, they requested that I either sign a waiver or book an appointment with my original naturopath, Jean Wong. As my complaint is not about her, I informed the receptionist that I had no issues booking an appointment to get my results from her. They did not provide a clear response and instead said they were following up with the doctor for next steps. This seems like unprofessional and vindictive behaviour. Don't walk away from this place. RUN. I suffered at their hands and not only did I not receive an apology, I got a wall of deflection and gaslighting, completely devoid of empathy or accountability. Patient care is clearly not their priority here.

When I left my first appointment I ended up leaving with a $723 bill. $400 was for the appointment that lasted maybe 40 minutes and $300 for supplements. It felt very pushy and the products were clearly marked up like crazy. I left my appointment with a poorly made 'meal plan' that listed things like "if you're hungry make a smoothie with protein powder" or "meal idea 3, 1 cup meat, 1 cup greens and 20 almonds. I 100% can say I left with no real value and instead left feeling like I might have just been scammed out of $723. There was no transparency about the cost of using the water or the cost of her supplements until I had to pay for my bill. I decided to share my experience and worries with Ariel and she invited me into her office so she could "understand why I wasn't satisfied with my service". After being told that my concerns were "maybe just a you problem" and that "I just wasn't ready to fix myself or put in the proper work" I knew this wasn't a legitimate or professional place of business. Be extremely careful if you're a young female especially as Ariel was extremely condescending, telling me I couldn't eat any carbs and dieting like this could never lead to an eating disorder and claiming she has a PhD (which can't be verified anywhere online). Kangen Water is also a multi-level marketing (which is very similar to a pyramid scheme). This is public information if you look it up. It seems that they are luring vulnerable clients in, getting them hooked on this water and then after the '2 week free trail' either charging $100 a month to keep getting the water from them or they sell the actual machines for your home. I'm sure after researching their end goal is to just sell you on this expensive machine which is $5000 CAD! So I ended up deciding to return the products at the very least and get my money back for that and after she had been so rude I asked for a refund and that I felt scammed. She denied the refund and only gave me back the $300 I spent on supplements. Now I've lost $400, I'm more stressed then when I went in and I'm disgusted that a business like this is allowed to operate. Another sketchy thing is she would only refund my $300 via e-transfer and not the credit machine as I had originally paid. Word of advice... don't go to this business as I wouldn't even classify it as a real business. I highly recommend if you are struggling with health issues to please go to a regular registered naturopath clinic.
