Didn't really take me seriously when I felt like I needed to come in until I said my doula wanted me to come in but at that point I was in so much pain I wanted epidural. Eloisa also recommended I drink beer while having contractions or some shots. Alcohol is a blood thinner so I can't imagine that's a remotely smart recommendation especially if I did end up taking pain medication for labor, as well as it still being able to be ingested by the baby. St Joseph's was actually really great I loved every single nurse and doctor I met and I had such a significantly good experience going there. I was there for 3 days and in the future if I ever have children again I'm going to st Joseph's. The nurses there were so sweet it actually made me sad that I will never see them again I'd recommend st Joseph's 100%. Definitely seems like eloisa is a bit more in it for the money. Which of course a jib is about money but she lacks any passion, Haley was pretty nice but I barely saw her. ​​​​​​

She already knew my history, and I had always known that she would be there to deliver my precious baby should I be so lucky to have one. Dr. Kim Bauer is very experienced, extremely loving and simply everything I had ever imagined a midwife would be. I always felt like all my questions were valid and I could genuinely tell she cared about her patients and their babies. When she informed me that she would be bringing on another midwife while she was on maternity leave I was a little anxious only because I liked Dr. Bauer so much. I have to admit though that from the moment I met Dr. Tamar Lieb, I was equally as thrilled to see her too. Both women so kind, so knowledgable and most importantly they clearly knew what they were doing! I had fabulous prenatal care and delivered a healthy baby boy one day before his due date. I had the unmedicated birth I always knew that I wanted with two professional midwives at the Bellingham Birth Center. Things actually went so well that I am strongly considering a home birth with Dr. Lieb and Dr. Bauer should I be so lucky to ever get blessed with another pregnancy. I also would like to add that I went through a bit of a rough patch following the birth of my baby emotionally. I was very anxious and unable to sleep for many days. Both Midwives were relentless with checking in on me and making sure that I was improving and had enough support. I felt their love and genuine concern every step of the way. Both of these midwives come highly recommended from me and I will most definitely use them again God willing!!!

I am so thankful and blessed to have birthed two of my little ones at Birthroot's Birth Center. I don't think I could have been able to work while on crutches + recover so well without having her there weekly to balance out my very tense and angry muscles.
