After searching many restaurants, I've decided on choosing chingoo. Starting with a positive, delivery only took 20 minutes while it said it'll take 40-55 minutes. They also texted that they're here rather than calling and left it in my building lobby with my name written on it. Which sounds common but not all places do so. For food, I ordered the soy garlic fried chicken wings and the deopbap lunch special with bulgogi. Good things about the wings... the size of the wings were decent sized and not tiny like some other places and it was still crispy when I got them. Also can't forget about the pickled daikon on the side. It may have been the best part of my entire order. The bad... the soy garlic sauce was almost non-existent. See both pictures to compare... there was sauce on one side and not even fully, while the other had no flavor at all. The deopbap.. it's not appealing and it tasted like pork rather than beef, but the rice and sauce was good together. Overall, I'm not sure I would order again.. at least not the two items I ordered this time. For $32 (tax, tip, fees included), it wasn't worth it. read more

Everything was so great about this place! I guess it gets a lot DoorDash orders, because while we were sitting there eating there were about 5 pick ups! I hope ya'll know the food is even better when they bring it hot to your table. Anyways, my boyfriend and I were starving and stumbled upon this place, we aren't from NY, just visiting. We walked in and the man sat us down right away. He was so welcoming and hospitable; nothing less than what I expected! My boyfriend got the galbi and I got the bibimbap. The galbi was so good, but his one issue was you really need to work for it. Each piece still had bone in it, he would have rather no bone. Still good! I got the pork bibimbap and asked for it in the stone pot. Does it make a difference, I don't know, but it definitely keeps it warm the whole time! Everything was so delicious. On Christmas day, my friend called ten different spots and found they were all closed, except this one! Chingoo is a pleasant spot with awesome Korean food without stopping into K-town. The staff working was great and our food was prepared fairly quick. We had the Soondobu (kimchi version), beef japchae, and kalbi, all available on the lunch menu. Maybe because we came for lunch, banchan is not part of the meal. The flavors for all were mouthwatering and delicious. I'd come back for some tofu stew any day. read more

We've tried the yukgaejang, the bulgogi, the wings, the baos and the bibimbap as delivery from here and loved it. Wings and other fried food definitely don't stay as crispy when they're being transported further than the kitchen to dining room, but flavors were tasty. The yukgaejang was super warm and tasty when it came, it was like a hug to my soul during a cold day. I love the chicken bao too! They always throw in pickled radish with your order. read more

This place was absolutely wonderful takeout. From what I could tell on a Friday, there was no outdoor seating, so all of their profit comes from to go orders. Please support this business! We ordered the Korean wings (half spicy and half soy garlic), creamy kimchi udon, and bul go gi. The wings were absolutely delicious. The spicy ones in particular were super saucy and perfectly spicy. The creamy kimchi udon was so delicious and different. I've never had anything like it and it was so delicious. Got some takeout from Chingoo, which is down the street from me. They have four tables set up in their little patio, so maybe one day I'll check that out. The staff was super nice. My food was ready fairly fast. It's a nice space and the patio looked decent. The menu isn't insanely long, which is kind of nice and they have lunch specials as well. The food: Korean Fried Chicken - it was good, had a bit of kick, super crunchy, great flavor...didn't steam in the box for too long Soon Do Boo - it was delicious, tasted amazing and hits the spot on colder days TLDR: it's typical Korean food prices and the food is actually good. Found this place via doordash and had such a good experience, decided to go in person as well. Bibimbap excellent, and you get the full clay pot experience if you eat in person (vs delivery), galbi is phenomenal, and the seafood pancake is an all around favorite. All-in-all, highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area and looking for a good korean dining experience in or out. Focus on the food and not on the fact you are eating on the sidewalk, unless you want to eat indoors. We ordered beer, soju and tea and shared many dishes family style: rice cakes with dumplings, seafood pancake, galbi, a stew, japchae with beef and udon. I always recommend the soondubu, but recently I had the kimchi seafood udon noodles and that was so unique (think spaghetti carbonara with kimchi and seafood), it's my new favorite dish. I'm a creature of habit. For nearly all of 2020, I've been ordering Korean delivery, every Sunday, from different K-restaurants in the area. It's my one non-self-cooked meal of the week and I like specific Korean dishes: bibimbap, yoo gae chang and tukbokki (pardon my poor spelling!). The bibimbap was decent here, but I thought their version of goochujang (I think) sauce to be more on the smokier side. I personally love wood ear mushrooms in my yoo gae chang (not so in their version) and found their broth to be on the oily side. They also don't have a traditional tukbokki dish, it's a combo with Mandoo and I have to say, THAT is a reason to order from here, because it was good. I'll have to sample their wings and some of their other popular dishes, to get a real feel for this place. But as always, thankful for any restaurant that's able to delivery during these times! read more

Happy that there's a Korean restaurant 2 blocks from my house; definitely convenient for us. Food was good but there's room for improvements. First traditionally there are always banchan but there was none which was disappointing. Hopefully they will add this bc what's Korean food without it? The best part is the assortment of banchan. Kimchi pancake was satisfying; the outside of the pancake was perfectly crispy but the inside was smushy though. Galbi was great but I was hoping for lettuce on the side to wrap with soy bean paste and gojuchang paste. Kimchi chigae was pretty good but was missing an egg on top :( Japchae & bi bim bap was good. Maybeeeee I am so just use to the Korean restaurants in Flushing & K-Town. We would definitely come back and recommend this to everyone in the area. But maybe the restaurant can consider adding the missing items to their menu and maybe can you guys add Yukgaejang for the Winter season??? That would be a dream! read more
