First time trying this restaurant. Overall the food was good but we found the description of the dishes to be deceptive. We ordered Chefs seafood delight and the first ingredient listed was lobster. Carry out order: The pork egg rolls had no pork, they were pre cooked and set aside, then reheated when needed. They were smaller than I've ever had and the insides were overcooked mush. They charge $2.30 each for these horrible little egg rolls. Other Chinese restaurants in the area charge about $1.70 each. Then we get to the House Special soup: 2 pieces of broccoli, a few pieces of carrot, 3 pieces of chopped up baby corn, some cabbage and ONE small piece of chicken. No shrimp, no pork, no other meat, no won ton or noodles. Unbelievable! NEVER AGAIN!! Don't walk....run from this place. read more

I had my first order from here a few days ago. I don't know what took me so long! The food was excellent! The prices and portions were very reasonable. The taste was absolutely on point! The egg drop soup was the thickest I'd ever had, and I loved it! I went with a small chicken lo mein but could easily have devoured a larger portion an still had room for my sweet and sour chicken. The cheese wontons also tasted great. Like the soup, the sweet and sour sauce was nice and thick, and this was only maybe the third place I've ever been willing to try it from. I'll definitely dive more into it next time! After placing my phone order, when I went to pick it up, the lady at the counter recognized that it must have been my first time ordering. She also recognized the customer after me, and it's nice to see a place that really knows it's customers! My literal only gripe would be that I felt the fried foods were all left in the fryer just a little bit too long, so they were hard on my teeth, but my wife felt they were perfect. Have been trying to find hood Chinese in Hanover since moving here 8/25. Ordered general tso platter from Chinatown. It was like they used frozen popcorn chicken the coating was spongy texture not crispy. Alas, the search continues. read more

This location has been here for numerous years. It a typical strip mall location. Value is inline for the area. Food quality is better than average.At the time I was there . They don't have any indoor seating. Service was good friendly and my order came out fast. This place is a good place to get Chinese fill. read more

Giving it two stars, because my food's ok. But the owners--jeeze! Super rude. My husband ordered General Tso chicken. We got home and opened our takeout. They gave him general tso tofu. When he called to get it fixed, they told him he ordered "tofu," which he definitely didnt. I was with him. But they insisted he did and refused to fix it. Won't go again. I absolutely love Chinatown kitchen. They are always right on time (except once they were super busy.) They profusely apologized for being late. But the food was still piping hot. So I wasnt even upset. They are always so nice and the lady who answers the phone is always on point. She Is fast and very efficient. I looked on-line for a local Chinese restaurant. Chinatown Kitchen had 4 1/2 stars. Never having been there, I trusted the ratings and called in my order. The lady was super nice and when I arrived she asked pick up? and had my order on the counter. She was very pleasant and asked how many soy sauce and duck sauce instead of throwing 100 in like other restaurants usually do. I liked that. Unfortunately, when I got home, the General Tso's was less than expected. Every place makes it a little different and some have it ready made (like at a buffet), but this was by far my least favorite. The chicken pieces were small (which I like) but tasted maybe like a frozen product recooked. The sauce while not plentiful was very sweet and the fried rice was bland with hardly no other ingredients in it. This place is extremely rude. My food was delivered last night after waiting 2 hours and it was cold. Then after we called to complain the manager called us back and told us we were liars that we did not wait 2 hours for our food and it was not cold. I will never order food from here again. There are plenty of other Chinese places to eat in Hanover that know how to treat there customers. read more

Terrible customer service over the phone.. We had ordered a meal without bell peppers and meal was delivered with the peppers. We called back and the lady was rude to us and was yelling at us. well they did re deliver the meal but were told to not order again.. the food wasn't good anyways, total waste of money and time. read more
