Okay, so i ordered a sweet and sour combination, took it home and sat down to eat. The chicken tasted like it was day old and most of it was not enjoyable at all. The pork fried rice has almost no pork in it. The little it did have was tiny little pieces. Okay, okay, so they didn't get this one right. Two weeks latter i ordered from them again. The same order as last time. SAME PROBLEM. I don't live close to the restaurant and decided a phone call was in order. They apologized, but when i asked what the problem was and told them they always had great food, he didn't have much to say except yes, no, yes, no, okay, yea, yea.. it was just like that. The food was horrible..the eggrolls are store bought from Aldi and are not fresh. They are mushy a tasteless. I guess it was sold 2 years ago and since Mama SOLD it its been worse and worse. Takeout Review: Our go to Chinese spot in the area. The food is above average, I usually go for the general tso chicken combo that comes with fried rice and a spring roll. The general is tso is good but not the best I've had; it satisfies my cravings though. We also ordered crab rangoons and those were average; the wonton wrapper is chewy, I prefer the crispy ones. We've done takeout orders twice now from Chinatown in Canton, I'd say it's very typical Chinese food. Nothing was horrible, but nothing really stood out either. One dish I always order, to compare to other Chinese places, is the General Tso's chicken. I've had much better General Tso's at other Chinese takeout places, but I've also had a lot worse. The General Tso's at Chinatown was slight crispy, sauce had a bit of flavor, but it was not spicy -- overall, I found it to be OK. My wife thought the Egg rolls were mushy & bland. I thought the boneless spare ribs were a bit on the dry side, but we didn't have any other complaints. Like I said above, it's a fairly typical, average Chinese takeout place. The guy cooking walked away to blow his nose and then walked over to the lo mein noodles and put both hands in a big pile of noodles and tossed the noddles several times to separate them without washing his hands after blowing his nose! Yet as good as that was it was nothing compared to how accommodating they were to my son's sesame allergy. First time in dealing with a kid with a severe allergy for over 17 years, that a food establishment really went out of their way to ensure that no sesame touches our food. Place is large and clean, there's around 5-7 tables for seating, rare for many take out places to have this many for eating in. When we were there, there were two other parties eating there, eat in, they put it on a plate and bring to your table. Take out, they pack it up in in tupperware. Preparing food took less than 10 min of waiting. They did have constant phone order in calls to take as well. I took a chance to try the curry beef since it's not on all Chinese take out restaurants. It was decent, a little spicy but not overwhelming. Not sure if I'll get it again. beef and broccoli tasted better and was more on the sweet side. Prices was $5-6 for lunch special, does not include drink though. Size could have been larger. Overall decent price and good! Location was easy to find parking, for easy pick up or eat in. read more

I went there today and ordered a vegetarian tofu soup. It was superb. I was having dinner with a friend and bought to eat at our house... Covid.... dah... Did not get many selections, but what I got was pretty doggone good! Veggie soup with tofu, chicken lo mein, white rice, beef with garlic sauce & broccoli, (which btw I never buy out) I always make it bc I am pretty picky and must have the best steak. Everything was pretty doggone good I must say. Did not have that experience ever with the other owners. But these guys/gals are good. Veggie soup like I said, was awesome, beef with garlic sauce was huge and delicious! The chicken lo mein was okay. It was very flavorful but I would not make it with huge noodles and I would put a little more chicken in it, and also would make the chicken pieces smaller. Overall I would give them 4 out of 5 stars for a take out chinese place and the price was right on. I shared the food with a guest who will definitely be going back, and we had more than enough left for a second meal for 4 hungry girlies. They are definitely stepping up her gig! Consistently tasty, consistently friendly, consistently satisfying! We order probably once every 1-2 months, but then again we only order or eat out once every 1-2 months! Chinatown in Canton is the spot I know will never disappoint. The food is always hot and fresh, even when we order later in the evening (I hate doing it, but my boyfriend & I often work pretty late, so dinner at 9pm is not uncommon unfortunately). Just ok food, but that's not where your problems will start if you order from them. First off there is no delivery available. Not the end of the world, but when you go there to pick up your food it will not be ready. (I suggest showing up about 20-30 minutes after their estimated time) They will also NOT give you an order number, so when you go they are going to ask what you ordered. If you placed the order and it's small that's ok, but if you're grabbing an order someone else placed on your ride home it becomes a problem. You will have to stand outside and wait for your order. If you followed my advice and got there a little late this won't be too bad, but if you listened to them be prepared to wait as long as 30 minutes. In the end you'll get home and be underwhelmed by the food and swear you'll never go back.... but when they're the only chinese in town and they know it... they don't care if you do or don't. read more

Not bad. But not good either. Expectations are everything so I expected far worse. But the hot and sour soup was surprisingly ok. Neither hot nor sour but had enough flavor to be decent. Then the hot and spicy chicken. Which of course was neither hot nor spicy. But it wasn't draped in too much sauce either. Just had a ton of peppers and onions. Big portion for the money. And on reheating, it was ok. Frankly, there aren't a lot of great choices anymore in the Valley. This doesn't fill that gap. Just a regular old takeout place that could be so much more. Tonight I did takeout from Chinatorn in Canton Ct.. My spareribs were tasteless, dried out. The wonton soup was definitely not chicken broth perhaps veggie, it was dark. The wontons in the soup were made of such thick dough I had trouble getting through them with a spoon. I just took a bite of my eggroll which was pretty good but there was no duck sauce, which is always included in Chinese takeout. I spent $24 in all and will not return there even though I live 2 minutes from the restaurant. We have several asian resteraunts in the valley and I have eatten at them all, Chinatown is the only one I have permanently crossed off my list.
