China Express has so many options and very affordable. I did enjoy the sesame balls a lot and some of the Pupu platter, but overall we found the food extremely greasy and dripping off the food. I would nto recommend the Pupu platter because half was over fried and the beef stick was questionable. The spare rib was good. My husband thought the cashew chicken was good but had too much cashews and wouldn't have minded more chicken. Service was quick and people were friendly. Great location. Overall, I won't go again since I have other options. read more

Went there for the first time after hearing several recommendations. I tried the barbecue pork rib ribs, which were absolutely delicious. The only downside was there's a little bit too much sauce. Also had the combination lo mein. This was a little lacking of flavor. Both portions were quite large for the price. read more

( New Yorker native disclaimer) ***Best fried rice in the area HANDS DOWN! I've had Chinese food in many many parts of Florida and so far... this was one THE best. Solely regarding takeout not dine in. The Lo mein was very good, excellent flavor and good mix of veggies, pork and noodles. The dishes were PACKED to the brim not cheap with their portions at all! I wasn't sure I'd like the brown sauce here so I got it on the side. It was a good idea cause they gave me so much sauce I literally could have used it the next day and the day after that... u get it. The hot and sour soup was good but it did need 1 soy sauce packet. The eggroll was pretty on point, but a little intense on the white pepper. My husband liked them better than I did, so either way a win! 4 people were fed with 2 combination platters, 1 large platter, 2 egg rolls and a soup! It was worth every penny! I didn't give 5 stars because the eggrolls had just the smallest amount pork in them, and the brown sauce was very salty, so I do suggest getting it on the side. I didn't go inside the place - hubby and friends picked it up so I have no idea how the store front was. The woman on the phone was cheerful and friendly! read more

Ordered delivery off grubhub for lunch. This is probably my 5th Chinese place in the area that I have tried in my search for the perfect one. Still haven't found it. I'm not sure what's with the yellow fried rice down here, it's just weird and not fried rice! Fried rice is BROWN not yellow! This was also dry, flavorless, no egg and no veggies other than onion and bean sprouts (which I appreciate btw) but no carrots, no peas, no egg and just a few pieces of pork. Disappointing. The sesame chicken was decent enough. The chicken rice soup was good and was just what I needed as I am very sick. The eggroll was nasty. Not crunchy and a pile of mush inside that resembled cat food. The food was delivered fast and hot so that was a plus but again it was through grubhub. The search will continue read more

Ordered a meal that clearly says it comes with fried or steamed rice and an eggroll. Food showed up in a tiny plastic bowl, soggy as hell, like it sat in a sauna before it got here. And surprise.... no eggroll. Called to let them know and the lady hits me with "you didn't say you wanted one." Like... what? Why would I need to ask for the thing that's included in the meal? Should I start requesting forks too? Napkins? Gravity? BTW we got no plastic wear either lol Anyway, food was mid, service was worse, and they clearly don't care. I'll get my soggy bowls and missing eggrolls somewhere else next time. read more

Always makes my order right and very quick service. Food is always good. Def recommend if you live in the NPR, Trinity area.

Food was awesome and delivered hot. We had the shrimp Rangoon, shrimp lo mein and shrimp fried rice. All fresh and tasty.

Actually one of the more tastier Chinese around the area. As another reviewer mentioned, dumplings are a bit thick, but still full of filling and filled to the brim in the soup. I LOVED the egg roll - crunchy with fresh veggies inside. The Mongolian beef had so many onions, which I don't mind, and wish there were some charred green onions. The beef was flavorful and silky and was a perfect portion for the price. This is one of my top go to for fast and convenient Chinese from now on! read more

No way! $75 worth of takeout in the trash... I hate throwing food, but this was an exception. I hate to leave bad reviews anywhere, but this food is unacceptable. Orange beef was pure dough. There was no filling on the wanton. They forgot one of the dishes in the order(thank god?) I will never buy food here again. read more

Be careful people they overcharged me they Ring up higher prices than what is in the menu. When you tell them that they say it's an old menu,if this is the case throw it away. Not mentioning that bad attitude and dirty floors . read more

You don't know how good the food is until you try it out. It was very good was happy with freshness and good taste of the meal.

Ordered Singapore and was flavorless. Egg roll and Krab rangoon weren't bad. Probably won't get again

Great service and food. They will even add or take away anything you want to the dish. Lots of vegetables! read more

Flavors were good. But all the wontons were very doughy with little filling. I had the General Tso's chicken and she had the orange chicken. The problem was there wasn't any chicken. It was all corn starch dumplings unless they used ground chicken in the corn starch? read more

Placed an order with this restaurant. They gave the order to Beyond menu for delivery. The order we got was totally wrong. the person who was supposed to receive it lived almost 15 miles away from us in Oldsmar, while we live in New Port Richey. Nobody would except the claim for the mistake. Now we have this person's address and phone number, as well as his TOFU Curry and Broccoli. The process of correcting this was a total nightmare. Beyond menu said we needed to call China Express and China Express said we needed to call Beyond menu. I don't understand how a driver could not look at his delivery ticket and not know he was going to the wrong city, almost 15 miles away. Will never order from China Express in Trinity again and don't recommend any one else order from there as well. read more

Our favorite Chinese spot. Their food is great, not greasy, and the owners are friendly.

I was really looking forward to a good Chinese dinner, this place however didn't fit our satisfaction. I ordered General Sal chicken and there was no flavor, the other order was sesame chicken and it had a weird plastic taste to it. friendly environment but not good food quality. read more

China Xpress - a table full of food - Chinese Near Me - Trinity, Florida

My favorite Chinese takeout restaurant! They have some uncommon menu items like sesame balls and chow fun. Don't expect it to be anywhere near as good as what you'd find at a dim sum or nice sit down restaurant, but it's decent for takeout. read more

I'm sorry to say that the food was terrible. The salt and pepper shrimp was soggy and flavorless. The beef sticks were rubbery and tasted sour and the lo-mien was was inedible. Even the rice was awful! Stay away! read more

My got to comfort takeout restaurant in Trinity. Been eating here 15+ years. They know my voice on the phone and can order my normal takeout just by saying, " hello, My name and I'll be there in 15 minutes". Great shrimp spring rolls, Wong tong soup and noodles. read more

This is always the BEST Chinese food I've ever had!!! I've eaten Chinese food in so many states and countries while I was in the military; this is by far the best... every time. read more

Love this place...simply put they have good food. Although it may be Americanized Chinese food it is still pretty good. I gave this place to try one night and now I'm hooked. I love the General Tso's chicken and they make some of the best fried rice you will ever have. The owner and staff are great and appreciate customers. After just a couple visits they know exactly what you want and any special requests. I also must add that their egg rolls are top notch. It is a small place with just a couple tables, so maybe plan for takeout and enjoy this yummiliciousness at home. read more

I've been coming here for at least a year now for their orange chicken lunch special and they never disappoint. Their food is phenomenal and they've always been very kind to me. read more

Awesome food, order is always correct. They don't offer delivery which is a bummer but I can't say a single bad thing about this location. They're located in a busy complex but parking has never been an issue. Fast and courteous service every time. read more

This has got to be the best Chinese food ive had from a place like this in a very long time. After ordering just twice the girl that works there remembered my voice and recited my whole order to me before I could even say it ( the wife and I get the same everytime) Must be some of the BESt service ive ever had at a pick up place. Food is always hot, and fresh. make sure you ask for the homemade ducksauce. They are so good there when I call in now she will make the duck sauce if they are out because they know we always get extra! You have got to try this. I get the Mongolian beef everytime and its great Take this from someone who cooked at PF Changs for 3 years! read more

First time diners to China Express and we had a great meal. Very small space for dinning in, only 4 tables...but we ordered our meals to eat in. Combo dinner selection was very large. Portions were enough for two. Meals came out piping hot and delicious. We will definately be returning, most likely will be a "Take Out" restaurant for us going forward...definately great Chinese food! read more

It's our favorite take out place. We love the fried rice, sweet and sour chicken and egg rolls.

The attitude of the help is unbelievable please look else where when looking for Chinese food. Food is alway great but service is terrible.

I don't get Chinese food often, and this place came recommended. We ordered about $40 worth of food, and most of our order was wrong. I was awakened at 3:30 the next morning with what I thought was appendicitis...after six hours in the ER I was told I had food poisoning. Everyone that ate the food had a touch of it, but I got the worst. We all had chicken btw. Most expensive meal of my life, and last time I'll be eating from this establishment. read more

They have the best beef sticks, it's tender and easy to chew, unlike other places where eating the beef makes you want to choke. Their prices are so reasonable and their portions are big. You really get the value for your buck. Good job read more

Definitely my favorite chinese place. I frequent here a lot! My favorite food here is the honey chicken!

This place has never been that great but on our most recent visit we found a cockroach wing and leg in our food. They refused to refund my money and said I put the cockroach leg there. They also charged us for an egg roll on a dinner combo even though it's included and would not refund our money just gave us an extra egg roll. I obviously don't expect 5 star service at a Chinese take out place but I do expect no bugs! read more

The place is actually called China Express, and it's located in Mitchell Plaza on SR 54 and Little Road. I've been going here since the restaurant opened about five (?) years ago. The owners are almost always there, and they are also co-owners of the Asian Buffet place on 54 and Rowan just a few minutes away. The wife, Lin, ALWAYS remembers my and my mother's orders, no matter how much time has gone by since we were last there. She even recognized my grandmother once, who went in to ask for some wonton soup. The owners try to make the restaurant "family-style", so they give great service and are always helpful with any suggestions. They're also very careful to remember any allergies or dislikes a customer has. The inside is a little small, but there are a few tables where you can eat in comfortably and watch some television before you go shopping in the plaza. I refuse to eat Chinese anywhere else in the area. Their food is always great, not doused in grease, and the taste is fresh and wholesome. The place is very clean. Another bit of information, their lunch specials are $5 and the portions are huge, and they accept credit cards, but only with purchases above $10. The only downside to this restaurant is that they do not deliver. read more

Good food. Prices are reasonable and the food is full of flavor. I got the orange chicken and boy was it tangy, and I also ordered 2 other meals with 2 extra egg rolls and it came to $25. So not to bad. If you're in the area grab some China Express, they are cheap and reasonable with large portions. read more

it just isn't that good. It's another Chinese take out restaurant. Yes, the food is hot. Yes, the portions are above average. The food I got was highly sugared. There was a noticeable lack of spices, e.g., garlic and ginger. OK, but not great as of August 2011. read more

I moved up to Trinity from Clearwater and was looking for a new Chinese place. After trying one Chinese place before this one, I was a little discouraged. I finally decided to try this place and boy was I impressed. Great food, flavor, and prices. Highly recommended and great people there as well. A must try! read more

I absolutely love this place! Always get good food from here! When my parents are in town I always order from here and they are super picky and love this place. The staff is super friendly and usually remember who you are and what you order which is nice if you always get the same thing. This is definitely my go to place for Chinese food in the area! read more
