My BLAND Gen Tso's Chicken combo.

Nice people. That's why I gave 3 stars. Totally BLAND General Tso's Chicken combo. Literally... No flavor at all. You know what plain chicken tastes like? That's what this tastes like. I'd give zero stars for the food. Sorry.

I had heard that this place was pretty good, so we decided to give it a try. It's only a few miles from where I live in Oviedo - and there are not really any quality Chinese restaurants in Oviedo if I'm being honest. The menu selection here was large enough, all of the regular staples you would expect for Chinese takeout are here. We ordered over the phone which was simple. When I arrived, the staff was very friendly. I would say the experience of ordering and getting food here was good. I appreciate the staff's friendliness and helpfulness. The location is a shopping center right off of SR434 in Winter Springs and was extremely easy to get to. The shopping center houses a church, a bicycle shop and not much more, so parking was easy to come by. We got the food home and opened up to see that portions were of good size. I had ordered Bourbon Chicken with Pork Fried rice. My wife had ordered a few appetizers to make up her mea/ (beef sticks, pork fried rice, & crab Rangoons included). My overall summary of the food is that is was somewhat uninspiring. I did not taste bad, but it really was fairly plain and generally lacked a lot of flavor if I am being honest. The pork fried rice was more of a yellow rice w/ other ingredients that was barely fried in the traditional sense as far as I could tell. The bourbon chicken was coated in a sauce that was uninspiring. To be fair, the meal looked nice and was presented as well as any Chinese take-out place. We also ordered egg rolls which were good, no real issues there. We ate our meal, it was fine - it just was not a meal that would motivate me to make this a regular joint. This is one of those places, you'll need to check out for yourself to form your own opinion, you may find that this variation of Chinese take-out is for you - it just was not for us.

Receipt Copy

First let me start by saying, I order often from this place often as well as dine in, however, after the rude customer service I received today, I will NEVER order or eat here again. Having a procedure tomorrow where I have to eat nothing but clear broth and knowing I LOVE their wonton soup, I went to UberEats and ordered 2 QUARTS with an additional charge of $1.50 each so a total of $7.50 for 2 soups, plus small order charge plus "service" etc.... My food is delivered and I received 1 Quart and 1 Pint , we called to see if they could possibly send some with their next order in our direction and she said No, my receipt shows 1 small and 1 large. I explained to her I was looking at my receipt and would be happy to send her a picture/copy and she said "Take it up with Uber, not my problem"

I was told this was a really good place to have Chinese food, it was good and the staff was really friendly and I like that you really get your moneys worth when you have Chinese food. The Sesame chicken I had here was good and they make it fresh so get it hot. There prices are good and you get more then what you pay for. Some Chinese places mess up your orders but this one got it right and we did not have to wait to long.

I like their tofu and their Singapore noodles. The tofu has a nice texture. Portion sizes are good.

Gross!! Chicken was not chicken, best part was diet Coke and fortune cookie. My wife and I feel like we just ate dinosaur toenails.

Yao’s - Shanghai Sticky Ribs

9/30/2026- Reservation for 3 for the Orlando Magical Dining. We heard this restaurant had a four…read morecourse meal and that it was amazing. When we walked in, they were still unhappy hour so we had the Shanghai Noon and Kill Bill drink ($10). We cannot believe how good the menu was. Some of the first and second course items we ordered were the firecracker shrimp, tuna crudo , truffle, scallion, noodles, and Shanghai sticky ribs. For our entrée, we ordered the Teres Major steak and the general Yao's chicken. And for dessert, we had the black sesame, soft serve, and the Matcha Panna cotta. I will definitely be back. I would like to come here for date night with my husband and bring my mom. We were so impressed by the service from Amber. She was amazing!!! The whole staff was great. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the food was 100/10. Highly recommended!!!!

I've had Yao's on my list to try ever since the big Yelp party earlier this year (they had one of…read morethe best bites of the night), and I finally made it in for Magical Dining this past month. I took my friend to dinner for her birthday and it was the perfect chance to try a wide variety of their menu. They have a 4 course menu for Magical Dining, so it's definitely a great value for $40 per person. We both started with the chili wontons (pork) as our starter and we're glad we did because they were amazing and we did not want to share, haha. For the second appetizer, we did share the Shanghai sticky ribs and the tuna crudo. Again, both hits -- especially the ribs! I'm not usually a big rib fan, but these were perfectly cooked, tender, and fell right off the bone. The sweet chili soy sauce they're coated in with fried garlic is so tasty. For our mains, she got the Teres Major Steak (asian chimichurri, umami butter, gai lan, smoked salt) and I got the General Yao's Chicken (tempura battered served with rice). We enjoyed a few bites of each before we were absolutely stuffed. They were both huge, generous portions and we took home enough for leftovers the next day. Of course, we saved just enough stomach space for dessert -- I went with the black sesame soft serve (black tahini, brown sugar crumble) and she got the fried sesame balls. I think we both enjoyed the soft serve the most. I'm a sucker for anything black sesame. Overall, I was really impressed with Yao's and the service was very welcoming and friendly, despite being quite busy during Magical Dining. I'm looking forward to returning with my husband soon because I know he'll love it, too!
