Ordered sweet and sour chicken and beef lo main. The chicken was hard as a rock. Can't chew it. No flavor. The beef was crunchy and dry like a chip. Not how beef should be in lo main when I called to take to manager I go routed to some centralized person who said they'd leave a message for the manager for them to call back on their own time. I'm not sure if they stepped up their game or if I'm just ordering different but the last few times I've gotten the egg rolls, the pot stickers fried, the chicken lo mein and the kung pao chicken and it is literally SO good. Fast service and good food. I had the crab Rangoon, egg foo yong and Singapore rice noodles. The egg foo yong is truly delicious !!! The Singapore rice noodles was a little too spicy for everyone at the table however generous amounts of shrimp and meat in the noodles. They don't serve any water so it will have to be purchased - also they prefer only cash and not credit cards I will definitely be back to try other dishes ! Tried this place as it was right next to art history brewing. Called in an order and was told 20 minutes. Steak with peppers and tomatoes was great. Lots of peppers and big chunks of tomatoes. I just ordered a family dinner from China Wok and had a METAL SCREW in my Egg Foo Young! Of course I found it after I bit into it and it was rolling around in my mouth. When I called them, they laughed and thought it was funny (because they couldn't understand with the language barrier) and told me that they thought I was lying about it. They are clearly not concerned at all about the safety of their customers! I will be calling the health department about this. It's unfortunate because I used to love this place, but after I got a screw in my food, had the owner call me a liar to my face when I brought the food back to show him (there was dried/cooked broccoli in the screw head, because it was cooked into my food), and laugh at me - I will NEVER be going back. read more

My experience wass horrible. I placedmy order through UberEats and it was supposed to be delivered at 7:30 pm. At 7:50 pm, it had not arrived so I called the establishment. The man got so defensive -- blaming the snow and the cold (I live ten minutes away at best). He said he would call the driver (who is his driver, not an UberEats driver) and he assured me that the driver was 6 to 19 minutes away. 20 minutes later, still no delivery and no explanation -- so I called again. I felt like I was being scolded for inquiring about my order. After 15 more minutes he told me that the driver had simply come back to the store and never did deliver the food. This was really bad. My suggestion is to avoid this place all together -- they don't know how to deal with a customer. read more

I'm sorry to say it's the worst Chinese food I've had in a long time. The people were very nice but the food not so much. Mongolian beef although a lot of steak it was extremely chewy like rubber. Where there should have been green scallions the meat was swimming in flavorless white onions. (Is that possible? Onions without flavor?) The egg roll was all cabbage and barely warm as though it had been made long ago and sat under a heat lamp. On a positive note, the white rice was good! Unfortunately not worth the $15 and I wound up tossing the entire dinner. Update: I only ate a few bites and in the past hour I cannot get enough water and my stomach is throbbing. Solid Four star place. We are newer to Geneva and this is the second time for Chinese take out. First place was closer but with quick delivery doesn't matter and I did not like their food at all. China Wok: FREE ENTREE was a bonus for my order being over $50; that means even more great leftovers which is now plenty for a second meal for our family of 5. Didn't care for their egg rolls or spring rolls (not good filling and bad greasy old oil deep fried taste). May try one more time in future just to give a second chance but no hurry. The Hunan Beef, Sesame Chicken and Dragon ___? was really good. Had a surprising Shrimp Fried Rice with LOTS of LARGE shrimp (not popcorn Shrimp as usual) and the rice was really good. One star off for egg rolls but a solid place to satisfy the craving. Note no hot mustard in the package so be sure to ask, I assume it's available upon request. After reading all the reviews I'm happy to report I didn't get any screws in my food. What I did get was a heaping portion of mediocre food. The wife had shrimp and broccoli and I had shrimp in lobster sauce. Both came with fried rice and an egg roll. The egg roll was so-so. No flavor. Fried rice was so-so. The shrimp and lobster sauce was okay. A good amount of shrimp and a nice sauce. But not even close to the best I've ever had. The prices were fair but low prices equal the quality of the food. We have ordered here for the third and LAST TIME LAST NIGHT!!!!!! We always call in and pickup...making allowances for all of the errors in our orders. This time we ordered ONLINE. This is a solid Chinese restaurant. The portions are generous and the prices are pretty good. I always get 2 meals out of 1 order. I have always done takeout.
