Delicious, awesome lunch special. Delicious egg rolls and their potstickers are amazing and actually come with a delicious dipping sauce (most places don't do that!). I do love everything I've tried here, I would say I wish there was more protein when I do order seafood for the price. But the lunch specials with the chicken fried rice, large portion of thing you ordered and then a great egg roll. I really do enjoy it here! Mongolian beef is one of my favs and my boyfriend loves the general taos chicken! read more

Ordered sweet and sour chicken and beef lo main. The chicken was hard as a rock. Can't chew it. No flavor. The beef was crunchy and dry like a chip. Not how beef should be in lo main when I called to take to manager I go routed to some centralized person who said they'd leave a message for the manager for them to call back on their own time. Terrible service and terrible food. As a first time customer I will not be returning. read more

Ordered take out. Hot and sour soup was good not great. Other main dishes were pretty good, really no complaints. It's hard to find a really good Chinese restaurant in this area. read more

First time ordering from here recently. Placed an order online and picked up within 15 minutes. I ordered sesame chicken with fried rice and egg roll as part of the lunch combo. Everything was fresh and delicious just like the Chinese spots back in New York. I would recommend this place. read more

China Wok - Sesame Chicken w/ chicken fried rice lunch combo. - Chinese Near Me - Geneva, Illinois

I recently had the pleasure of dining at China Wok, and the experience exceeded all expectations. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was in for a treat. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the Mongolian Beef. It was a flavor explosion that left me craving for more. The beef was tender, thinly sliced, and cooked to perfection. The savory and slightly spicy Mongolian sauce that coated each slice was a masterpiece. The balance of flavors was impeccable, and it had just the right amount of heat to tantalize my taste buds without overwhelming them. The fresh vegetables in the dish added a refreshing crunch, making every bite a delight. What truly impressed me, besides the mouthwatering cuisine, was the speed of service. Our orders arrived promptly, and it was evident that the kitchen staff took great care in ensuring that each dish was served hot and fresh. The attentive waitstaff was knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations, enhancing the overall dining experience. The restaurant's ambiance was charming, with an inviting decor that captured the essence of Chinese culture. The warm and cozy atmosphere, coupled with excellent service, created a truly memorable evening. China Wok is a gem among Chinese restaurants, and I can't recommend it highly enough. If you're looking for exceptional Mongolian Beef and top-notch service, don't miss the opportunity to dine here. It's a five-star experience all the way! (This was when they had dine in) read more

I have ordered from here a few times over the past couple of months and WOW everything is SO delicious! I'm not sure if they stepped up their game or if I'm just ordering different but the last few times I've gotten the egg rolls, the pot stickers fried, the chicken lo mein and the kung pao chicken and it is literally SO good. Fast service - I've always picked up so not sure about delivery. read more

Fast service and good food. I had the crab Rangoon, egg foo yong and Singapore rice noodles. The egg foo yong is truly delicious !!! The Singapore rice noodles was a little too spicy for everyone at the table however generous amounts of shrimp and meat in the noodles. They don't serve any water so it will have to be purchased - also they prefer only cash and not credit cards I will definitely be back to try other dishes ! Overall definitely a good place to check out. They only have about 4 tables in store so during busy times, a take out would be a better option read more

Only tried once. Fast, good food, good portions, fair prices. Crab Rangoon are small but good, Mongolian beef was tender and good, Shrimp in lobster sauce was good but it's a different dark sauce than the typical lobster sauce I'm used to. I would order again. read more

Tried this place as it was right next to art history brewing. Called in an order and was told 20 minutes. Steak with peppers and tomatoes was great. Lots of peppers and big chunks of tomatoes. The teriyaki chicken had big chunks of chicken and vegetables. It was appreciated they brought the food right to us at the brewery. read more

Beef Lo Mein and Chicken Fried Rice were probably the worst of either I have ever eaten. Egg roll and crab Rangoon were mediocre at best. I would never eat here again if I was paid to. Me and my girlfriend had to take post near the toilets for 2-3 days to jettison this rancid meal out of our system. Please be forewarned before taken in this food. read more

First and last time trying this place. Pretty awful overall. Thai red curry had no coconut milk. It was literally a broth. Fried rice had nothing. Not a pea, not a carrot- nothing. Even my kids were not interested. read more

I ordered on line and opted to pay in store. They emailed me a receipt for $21.54. When I walked in they charged me $25.54. The young lady went in the back and got her dad. He tried to communicate that he's updating his website. That's not my problem. Fix it or don't take online orders. I'm not going to comment on the food because I will not be going back. By this point it was too late for me to ask for my tip back! read more

Delicious food and fast service! Lunch specials are a fantastic deal, but I prefer the combination plates because they give you roast pork fried rice. Nothing sort greasy here and they have an extensive menu. read more

China Wok - 3. Sesame Chicken - Chinese Near Me - Geneva, Illinois

I just ordered a family dinner from China Wok and had a METAL SCREW in my Egg Foo Young! Of course I found it after I bit into it and it was rolling around in my mouth. When I called them, they laughed and thought it was funny (because they couldn't understand with the language barrier) and told me that they thought I was lying about it. They are clearly not concerned at all about the safety of their customers! I will be calling the health department about this. It's unfortunate because I used to love this place, but after I got a screw in my food, had the owner call me a liar to my face when I brought the food back to show him (there was dried/cooked broccoli in the screw head, because it was cooked into my food), and laugh at me - I will NEVER be going back. read more

My experience wass horrible. I placedmy order through UberEats and it was supposed to be delivered at 7:30 pm. At 7:50 pm, it had not arrived so I called the establishment. The man got so defensive -- blaming the snow and the cold (I live ten minutes away at best). He said he would call the driver (who is his driver, not an UberEats driver) and he assured me that the driver was 6 to 19 minutes away. 20 minutes later, still no delivery and no explanation -- so I called again. I felt like I was being scolded for inquiring about my order. After 15 more minutes he told me that the driver had simply come back to the store and never did deliver the food. This was really bad. My suggestion is to avoid this place all together -- they don't know how to deal with a customer. read more

I'm sorry to say it's the worst Chinese food I've had in a long time. The people were very nice but the food not so much. Mongolian beef although a lot of steak it was extremely chewy like rubber. Where there should have been green scallions the meat was swimming in flavorless white onions. (Is that possible? Onions without flavor?) The egg roll was all cabbage and barely warm as though it had been made long ago and sat under a heat lamp. On a positive note, the white rice was good! Unfortunately not worth the $15 and I wound up tossing the entire dinner. Update: I only ate a few bites and in the past hour I cannot get enough water and my stomach is throbbing. Obviously this food is laced with an over abundance of old school MSG. read more

Horrible customer service, great food if they can get the order right. Very disappointed.

First time there ordered the crab Rangoon. They weren't cooked all the way and very small for the price ‍

I love China work in Geneva. The food is made fresh per each order. A great variety of quick and tasty food. The prices are excellent. If you get delivery in amazes me how fast they get it to you. Hot and fresh. A family business with super polite people. You must try. read more

Solid Four star place. We are newer to Geneva and this is the second time for Chinese take out. First place was closer but with quick delivery doesn't matter and I did not like their food at all. China Wok: FREE ENTREE was a bonus for my order being over $50; that means even more great leftovers which is now plenty for a second meal for our family of 5. Didn't care for their egg rolls or spring rolls (not good filling and bad greasy old oil deep fried taste). May try one more time in future just to give a second chance but no hurry. The Hunan Beef, Sesame Chicken and Dragon ___? was really good. Had a surprising Shrimp Fried Rice with LOTS of LARGE shrimp (not popcorn Shrimp as usual) and the rice was really good. One star off for egg rolls but a solid place to satisfy the craving. Note no hot mustard in the package so be sure to ask, I assume it's available upon request. As others say, nice portions too. read more

Yum-o! I really, really, really wish that Chinese food was good for you. We've been here one time as we recently moved to the area and are on the hunt for our "go-to" Chinese place. I ordered General Tso's chicken. Generous portions and it really hit the spot. Yes, they do prefer that you pay with cash but they aren't going to turn you away if you pay with debit/CC. That'd just be silly. read more

Panda is better and that's not a good thing. I haven't ordered from here in YEARS and now I remember why. Fried rice is terrible, egg roll filling was like rubber trying to chew it, and the crab Rangoon had little to nothing inside it just all shell. $20 bucks gone never again. read more

After reading all the reviews I'm happy to report I didn't get any screws in my food. What I did get was a heaping portion of mediocre food. The wife had shrimp and broccoli and I had shrimp in lobster sauce. Both came with fried rice and an egg roll. The egg roll was so-so. No flavor. Fried rice was so-so. The shrimp and lobster sauce was okay. A good amount of shrimp and a nice sauce. But not even close to the best I've ever had. The prices were fair but low prices equal the quality of the food. I would go back if I had to since my one time favorite Gen Hoe has also gone down hill. It hit or miss to say the least..... read more

Food is good, but they need to clean the shrimp better. Other than that I like it and a lot better than the one on Randall.

I'm a regular customer and really love this place. As other reviewers have already said, this is primarily a take-out place but don't let that discourage you from coming out for a dine-in experience. The quality is very good with the Hot and Sour Soup and the Garlic Broccoli being my favorites. Portion size is huge and the prices are excellent. read more

I think that there are new owners. There were new people in the kitchen, and my usual order that I have had many times was not the same, completely different sauce and missing key ingredients. I am so sad, I loved the original China Wok. read more

My Husband is NOT a big fan of Chinese and I love it. We decided to order in tonight and he suggested Chinese! Knowing how picky he is about egg rolls and knowing that he really likes the ones at Gen Ho, (but we wanted delivery) I took a chance on China Wok and the did NOT disappoint! Food arrived super hot and was very fresh. Really delicious pork fried rice, orange chicken and beef with snow peas. Their egg rolls were outstanding! Thank you China Wok. We have ordered here for the third and LAST TIME LAST NIGHT!!!!!! We always call in and pickup...making allowances for all of the errors in our orders. This time we ordered ONLINE. Our receipt confirmed our order of hunan chicken WITHOUT BELL PEPPERS and chicken fried rice. We were told 30 min. An hour and 15 min later and after a call our order arrived. A MIXED ORDER OF HALF HUNAN CHICKEN FULL OF BELL PEPPERS MIXED WITH PORK FRIED RICE! The chicken fried rice (quart size) had about 3 pieces of chicken and was oily and greasy. Inedible. We called and the manager on the phone argued with us and was VERY RUDE telling us WE ORDERED THE COMBO OF HUNAN CHICKEN AND PORK FRIED RICE. We confirmed our printed order on the bag. He continued to argue and said "BRING IT BACK". We paid for delivery and asked that he re-deliver our correct order as the SAME thing had happened the last time we ordered. Food is good but service is awful, staff rude. We will NEVER ORDER FROM OR EAT THERE AGAIN AND WILL BE SURE TO TELL ALL THAT "GO AHEAD AND ORDER BUT IT'S A CRAP SHOOT AS TO WHAT YOU WILL GET AND IT WILL BE GREASY!" GENEVA, IL read more
