We tried it yesterday and I can assure you we will dine there again. The facilities are inviting and very clean (even the restrooms are unusually clean). The staff are friendly and helpful. The menu is huge and the food is superb. My only complaint is that their hot tea costs $4 which I find a little excessive -- for a pitcher of hot water and a Walmart brand tea bag. The pricing is very reasonable as per the portions with most of the entrees in the range of $16 - $18 with seafood costing a little more. The service has always been very friendly but be sure to dine in way before closing time or the staff might tell you to take a to-go 30-45 mins before closing. First of all the location is in a pretty decent spot I wish it were more visible from the street. It's situated on an incline and it's right near a highway so if you're going over the highway, you won't be able to see it very well. That's the only bad thing about it. The decor inside is very culturally present. The staff are extremely friendly and it got to a point that they knew who my mother and I were considering at that time we were one a few African-Americans who lived in the area. I hadn't been there since my mom passed away in 2019. I was on work related business and I looked over and seen it and decided I would stop there before heading home. It was like coming home again. They didn't quite remember me at first because it has been seven years since I've lived in Tonganoxie, however they were just as friendly and sweet as ever before and oh my God the food was hoodoggie good!!!!
