We were on our way home from the airport, it was 9pm and the only thing open on the way home, ordered a beef chow foon and my husband and I finished the entire order. The sauce was light, not super heavy and there were no black bits of a dirty wok or anything. Next week we ordered the singapore noodles, omg it smelled divine. It was more of a pepper/spicy scent rather than the curry scent. It reminded me of being back in Asia, really good, also finished the entire order in one sitting. We just kept dishing it out. Horrible! The Mongolian Beef should be called Onions Bowl. They gave us a full bowl of onions with some green onions and some beef strips which were the lowest quality on the market. They had signs posted that there were no bathrooms for customers. The top of our table was cracked. I will never order from here again. I ordered Ho Fun for a pickup, and when I opened the box after I got home, I got a Lo Mein. I called them and let them know this happened, and they never said sorry. They just kept on saying I have to bring back the LoMein if I still want to have Ho fun. Plus, they wanted to charge $1 more because Ho fun is $1 more expensive than LoMein. So I checked my receipt and found out they charged me more than what I should have paid. On the menu, Ho Fun is $8.95, LoMein is $7.95. My receipt said "LoMein $8.95" -_- !! So make sure to check your receipt if you still decide to order from here. Don't let them steal your money. When I got there with the LoMein, again, no one says sorry no one says anything. They just opened up the LoMein box to check the noodles. Small, mostly carryout Americanized Chinese. It is what it is. They serve all the standard Chinese fair quickly, hot and not too salty. They stay open later than the other few places in Clarksburg. I figured I would join Yelp, just to give you guys a proper opinion on this restaurant. Seeing the rating at 1 star from a person who didn't even try the food seemed a bit unfair for a restaurant that is actually comparatively good when compared to other Chinese Restaurants in the area. I've been to China Spring on two occasions and the food is great, the prices are very reasonable, and the service is quick. I got the lunch special both times I went, which, for the record is on Mondays-Saturdays with prices ranging from $5.75 to $6.25. The first time I went I got the Sesame Chicken lunch special ($6.25) and it was delicious. Oftentimes cheaper Chinese Restaurants have a bad habit of breading the chicken in a very gross and oily fashion, but this the the first Chinese Restaurant I've been to in a long time that nailed it (and believe me, I've been to a LOT of Chinese Restaurants). The fried rice was delicious and the spring roll was a bit oily, but still tasty nevertheless. Definitely no regrets putting it my mouth. Today, I just got back and got the Sweet & Sour Chicken Lunch Special, because it was a bit cheaper ($5.75) and, to be honest, Sesame, Sweet & Sour, Orange, & General Tso's Chicken all have a similar effect on my pallet. Once again, the meal was delicious. There was no green peppers or pineapple in my Sweet & Sour Chicken like there normally is, but I wasn't complaining... more chicken for me :) The service was lightning quick both times. The first time, I ordered on the phone, walked to the restaurant in 5 minutes or so and my food was already ready. Today, I ordered at the restaurant, itself, and had my food in 5 minutes. Have tried this place a few times to give them the benefit of the doubt. We usually get the kids sweet and sour chicken and every time they find a way too significantly over fry the chicken (see picture). New restaurant in Clarksburg, MD primarily set up for take out. We go here a couple times a month and the staff each time has been wonderful to us. They are friendly....you just need to engage in a conversation with them! :) Basic chinese food like the Orange Peel Chicken is good, better than most places I've been. I live in same neighborhood as this place and was extremely excited when I saw a Chinese place close by that i could walk to. I have eaten here several times and the food was lack luster each time. The service is not good at all and I have caught them a few times handeling shrimp and raw fish and meat and then handling cooked food with out washing their hands. Very disappointed! read more

Wow, stopped in here shortly after moving to Clarksburg a few years back, ordered hot & sour soup that was so mucus-like gelatinous it nearly made me vomit. Also, the ingredients are NOT fresh--watched as an employee literally pulled frozen meat on a stick out of the freezer in the front room and toss the meat into fryers. Disgusting. Food was an absolute zero for both of us, and we have never been back. It was a revolting experience eating their food once, I can't imagine willingly doing it again. My wife and I have been getting delivery from China Spring for at least twice a month for three years now, and we are the edge of their delivery area (about 10 minutes away). Knowing that, we almost always order in the neighborhood of $40-45 of food, and ALWAYS tip 25% to the driver (on top of them charging a delivery fee). Today, out of nowhere, they tell us they will only deliver with a $50 Minimum. We explained how long we have been getting delivery from them, and that as two semi-senior citizens, that represents more food than we can possibly eat - and that we couldn't do that. Bottom line: the young woman answering the phone could care less, and let us know they didn't care whether they had our business or not. Guess they don't need our $1,200 a year and our $300 in tips. I judge all Chinese restaurants by two dishes...Hot and Sour Soup and Kung Pao Chicken. I ordered both for carry out today and both lacked flavor. The soup was neither hot nor sour, just bland. The Kung Pao smelled good and very peanutty when I opened it, but again, the dish had no flavor at all. I would give it one star, but the people were nice, so I gave them two. Those are the only two dishes I really like to eat from takeout places. The first time I ordered it, it was okay, nothing special. Probably 2 or 3 stars. The portions are really small for the price. The containers were barely filled for a dinner portion and their prices are high compared to other places close by. It helps to know that this is not a Cantonese restaurant so I'm not expecting the Orange Beef or General Tao to be cooked in the same style.
