My friend and I like to check out different chinese restaurants to eat at. This was the worst one we have been to. The buffet consisted of mushy shrimp, more veggies then meat, the egg foo young was gross looking, and the dessert table was worse yet, with cheap store bought cookies, jello and some pudding, There was something we thought was cake, but there was no frosting or topping on it, cut in large bread cube sizes, so probably was not. The place was like in a basement, dark (no windows) damp, and the fish tanks were dirty. Would never go back. read more

I went here a couple weeks back since I had been hearing good things about it. We went to dinner so there was no buffet which was fine. The egg rolls were made fresh and you could tell they were fresh! They weren't the prettiest but good. Be careful of the wasabi type sauce. Lol never knew there was such a thing and almost died from it. We ordered 4 types of dish and enjoyed them all. The seats need to be refurnished but overall the ambiance was nice and calm. If you're looking for a variety of good, hot food at a resonsible price and don't need elegance this is the best Chinese restaurant in town. The buffet was so good and nothing was cold. The owner kept a close eye on all aspects to make the dining experience the best it could be. Our tiny waitress was so efficient and charming with her slight bowing to our requests. There are not too many choices for Chinese food in the area. If you are looking for a reasonably priced buffet, China Palace does offer a variety of options on its lunch buffet. The atmosphere is lacking a bit. It is an old building and there have not been many updates done. It is "boring" and that actually distracts from the food. It sets a low expectation. There was a good variety of choices on the buffet. The egg flower (drop) soup was very tasty. The fried rice was also good. I really enjoyed the apple dessert. Very unique! read more

Always order through the beyond menu app. Often you don't get what you paid for...2 egg rolls only get 1 or wor wonton soup only get wonton. I've always looked pass this but tonight placed order at 6:38 and 2 hours later they call and ask if I still wanted the order. Too many mistakes too often. I will not go back. read more

This is a place our family used to eat at years ago, and it was very nicely kept and good food and service. We have since stopped attending for a simple reason: The place is just gross. The place just needs to be cleaned from top to bottom. Everything is dusty, sticky, dirty, and in disarray. If that is what the dining room is like, I shudder to think what the kitchen looks like. This place should be condemned!... Absolutely Horrible!! My family and I decided to grab lunch buffet their....big mistake...and it was only open a half hour. You would think they would have fresh food...seriously day old food... Food trays empty. My plate was dirty and stuck to another... I let my daughter take dessert things since regular lunch items were empty...the pudding tasted like bubble gum and orange jello jiggler wasn't edible either...I waited a bit to see if they were bringing fresh food.. .nope..seriously one egg role in the pan...finally we decided to try the ice cream...ughhh...only vanilla . they had no bowls..plastic white spoons and dirty sticky bottles of chocolate and butterscotch syrup.. Update: Unfortunately I have to downgrade my rating of China Place due to cleanliness. I used to be a regular customer and they have some tasty dishes but it really seems like the place needs a good scrubbing top to bottom. Based on my observations in the dining/buffet area, I shudder to think what the kitchen looks like. Also the execution of some of the dishes has been, let's say, not the greatest lately. Someone in the kitchen is screwing something up, or they are being told to reheat/recook food. Either way, I won't be a regular customer anymore unless I know they've changed their procedures. read more

Stopped here for lunch today with my husband and grandson, BIGGEST MISTAKE OF THE DAY. We were here for 45 minutes and NOTHING fresh was brought out to the buffet. Everything up there looks as it has been sitting there for days. Needless to say I got some lettuce, tomatoes and ranch dressing. Only 1 egg roll on the buffet. My fiancée and I ordered delivery from China Palace. Never again! The person who took our order was rude, didn't bother giving us our total then snapped at us when we said we tried to order online (their website looks to be set up as to order from it), then they hung up on us. Almost an hour later we called again wondering where our order was. The person on the line this time just told us it's on the way and hung up. The delivery driver was nice and deserving of a good tip. We ordered everything with no onions or peppers. Unfortunately everything has onions and peppers. Not allergic just don't like them. The flavor was subpar but at least it was hot. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Definitely will not order from here again. read more

I went here with my son for Mother's Day. My son even made a reservation for us so we could get a nice table in case it was busy. It wasn't busy, but we were seated at what is probably the smallest table in the restaurant. It wasn't even as tall as the other tables. There were several open tables everywhere in the restaurant. We asked Betty (the owner I believe) if we could be seated at a larger table. She said we had to sit where they choose. Wow!!! Finally, when the server came around she moved us to a better table. The buffet was supposed to be a special and different one for Mother's Day. There wasn't anything special or different. It cost $4 dollars more than their usual buffet too! I have to agree with other viewers, the place needs some serious cleaning. Fish tanks were dirty and gross. Not what you like to look at when you eat.
