Wonderful little sit down Chinese restaurant located in a strip mall. We arrived at 815pm. They close at 9 and they were so very kind and seated us immediately. The dining room was VERY clean and I used the restroom and it has to be the cleanest restaurant bathroom I have ever been in. We both got the dinner combinations and for only 10 bucks it was a great deal. Comes with fried rice, soup and main dish. The servings were large! We wouldn't loved to have had veggies or egg in the rice but all Chinese restaurants do it differently. Sweet tea was tasty and not too sweet. We were getting. Ready to leave at 850 and a swarm of people came in. At least 15 at once. I felt bad for them because I knew they closed in 10 minutes but they were just as friendly with the new customers. China One is in an unassuming spot in a local strip mall. Just the type of hole-in-the-wall you look for in tourist towns. We were pleasantly greeted when we arrived and immediately seated. The interior of the restaurant was lovely and scrupulously clean. We were impressed with the design; everything from the hangings to the sconces was lovely in tones of reds and golds. We placed our orders and the meals were promptly delivered, piping hot and delicious. DH had Beef Chow Mein; my selection was a spider roll and Shrimp Lo Mein. The sushi was fresh and tasty. We were more than just satisfied and made plans to return before the drive home. China One was doing a brisk business while we were there, both dine-in and take out. A first time try for us and it was well worth the visit. The vibe of the restaurant offers a quiet dining experience that allows for an enjoyable meal. Every staff member that interacted with us was sooo friendly, from the host to the waitress that waited on us along with those who waited on others. Just great service all around. The entrees matched the quality of the service as well. You can certainly tell that it was made to order as everything was hot and needed to cool a bit. The portion sizes are amazing for the price and you're more than likely going to need a box. While the sushi was average in taste, the price didn't break the bank. The steamed dumplings are huge and the General Tso chicken was pretty tasty. When it comes to the Orange Chicken, you can definitely taste the fruity zest. Before I share my thoughts, I just want to contest what one reviewer wrote about the food, being rubbery, especially since the picture they posted of the outside bears no resemblance to the place we went to. We were looking for a place away from all the touristy restaurants on the strip, and we gave this place a try. They have a nice dining area with room for about 40 to 50 patrons. Ordering online was down, so I called in our order for pickup. The lady who answered my call kept it brief (no frills customer service). She told me our order would be ready in 10 minutes, and it was. We got the sesame chicken, wonton soup, pu pu platter and beef with broccoli. Most everything was good and still hot by the time we got back to the hotel with it. The pork skewers from the pu pu platter were a bit like jerky, but the beef & broccoli was tender, which doesn't happen at all Chinese takeout places. I was overcharged $42 (a significant mistake) and it took a trip back to the restaurant to get my money back. They offered no apology or an incentive to return to their restaurant. Worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. A group of five of us ordered the chicken curry, the happy family, general tsaos, and a fee other popular plates. The rice was completely undercooked making it very hard and crunchy and the waitresses couldn't answer any questions due to the language barrier. No MSG here apparently means No flavor at all. The white rice was good, what a waste. The crunchy noodles were the wrong type and had a real bad flavor and smelled like rancid unchanged very old oil. The fried dumplings were ok but not good. Not good Chinese food at all, don't bother! Yuck!!!
