The BEST Chinese food in Oconomowoc. I usually call my order in ahead of time to avoid waiting even though they are VERY fast (10 min max for food). Never had a problem with bad meat or order mixed up. It is kind of hard to understand them with their accent but are just amazingly nice and cordial. Lightning-fast service. I never call ahead, because it only takes them five minutes to make my food. This is not out-of-this-world Chinese food, but it's better than average. We've only tried the General Tsao's chicken and most of the items on the "diet menu." The owner is extremely attentive and seems to remember your order if you're a regular. The price is right as well! Get carry-out though...there are only two tables for eating and you'd be surrounded by people waiting for takout and listening to the noise of the open kitchen. read more

My family and I stayed at a rental house on Lac La Belle and tried local restaurants at least once a day. China One was by far the best food we had in the entire town. If you are a local and haven't stumbled across it I as an out of Townes recommend checking it out and if your an out of towner do your yourself the favor and swing on by. read more

We went in, and left. This place is not what I would call a restaurant. They have 2 small tables next to the door (which was very cold). When I asked the woman working there where the restaurant was, she was confused, so I asked the woman in line and she said this is a Take Out place, not a restaurant. The worker tried to convince us to stay, saying she would push their only 2 tables together for us, but it would have been terribly uncomfortable, so we left. read more

I'm afraid to go back there. I've had good service dozens of times before... Until this month. I called ahead, placed my order and was told 15 minutes. I was immediately alarmed by that. When I got there the food wasn't ready and at a glance a could see that the order wasn't right. When handed to me I opened the bash to check and the employee took it away and put it back in the bag and stapled it so I couldn't see. When I got home the order was wrong. I knew it. Missing stuff too. We asked for white rice, not fried. The appetizer wasn't there either. I went back. All I wanted was the correct food. He took it away, threw my money back at me, said something like " there was no more food" and asked me to leave. I felt there was no attempt at communication from this employee. No patience. I'll also mention the woman who normally works there was not. I. Know I'm a dime a dozen, but I'm now afraid to go back. This is not how you treat people. I love their food. It is always consistent, and if something is wrong, they fix it. Ready in a flash, and the owners are so nice.

Great food at a great price - every time. Many selections. Often go here for lunch and will grab for dinner too.
