First of all, I got everything I wanted. Plenty of beef in my beef in broccoli. I also got sesame chicken, which was very tasty. Each plated had plenty of the sauce so it was very much enjoyed. The chicken teriyaki on the stick was bland, dried out, and had hints of cinnamon that I did not like. Usually they're sticky & more saturated in the teriyaki sauce/marinade which I prefer so that's why this place got one less star. Pretty decent Chinese place. I mean don't expect much from any China palace or china wok or whatever little hole in the wall Chinese take out joint. We saw this place last night when we stopped at Jen's place. We ordered general tso chicken with white rice, crab rangoons and chicken teriyaki (rat on a stick). The crab rangoons were alright. Tasted like they were refried to warm them up instead of being fresh. They were chewy and not crunchy. The General Tso was actually really good. The chicken was really hot (temperature) and spicy for once! Usually you ask general Tso and they give u sweet and sour. Really good. And there was only 1 piece of broccoli!! Usually they put more broccoli than chicken. The chicken teriyaki was good too. A nice size piece of chicken on a stick. Rat on a stick!! Haha The service was fast and easy. I love chinese food; don't know a person who doesn't. Anyway, I get it every Saturday. It's Chinese food night for me. Tonight I got my usual General Tso's combo; got apple sticks for something sweet too. I love it. I usually always get crab ragoon but decided against it this time. Didn't want my belly to ache. Lol The house special lo mein is awesome. Nice place. "Seems" clean but who knows how really clean it is. Friendly people. I'm looking forward to next week. read more

Eh pretty average nothing special about the place I wouldn't actively continue to go back. I ordered lunch special general tso with pork fried rice. It was pretty good, heavy on the sauce and the "chicken" bits were more fried batter then chicken I would say 20% was chicken. The fried rice was good not too oily and plenty of pork bits. I also ordered an egg roll, little different then I'm used to it had pork? I guess that's why it was pink inside not too much vegetable filling either. Honestly it was a so so place. I've been going there for years! I really like the Shrimp Panci. And the Shrimp and Broccoli is great and it's a nice sauce not greasy. I really don't eat fried foods like that, but their chicken wings are pretty good. The ice tea good! I think the problem with the one of ladies is might not understand our English to well, the other lady is nice to me! I then stated what I ordered again but said I'd take the pork fried rice instead since it was ready, she stated neither item was ready. Excellent take out Chinese Food. Their prices are good and the portions are huge. You can tell they use fresh ingredients. Their sweet and sour chicken is crispy and cooked perfectly. Their wonton soup is more wonton than soup, with 5 wontons in the SMALL size. The steamed dumplings are really flavorful with a nice thin wrapper unlike the thick doughy undercooked dumplings I have been served at other Chinese restaurants. The combo dinners are a great deal, with a good sized entree (enough to share or take for lunch the next day), steamed or fried rice and a fresh egg roll. The General TSO's Chicken is very tasty and mild NOT spicy. They use large shrimp and put plenty of them in their shrimp and mixed vegetables. The vegetables are colorful and crisp, not soggy like they are from most take out places. Everything I have had from this restaurant has been great so far. read more

Recently moved here and was hoping for a good experience... The call in should have tipped me off. I had to repeat myself so many times I lost count (I'm of Italian decent, I have never been mistaken for the quiet type). A quarter of my order was not taken so was in turn missing. As far as the food is concerned , the chicken was tough, the General's and Sesame both were super tough. The General Tso was offensively spicy way more than a typical restaurant making it less than palatable. My father ordered the Chicken Teriyaki which was so over cooked it could double for jerky. No one really complained about the rice, but it wasn't special either. I had read a review about the crab Rangoon being warmed not really fresh or particularly crunchy, I agree. After searching yelp for a new Chinese takeout spot I decided to try this establishment. We called it in and stop by Chick-fil-A for my son (picky eater). While leaving Chick-fil-A, the Chinese spot called back to let me know my food was ready....def a plus! The restaurant is in a shopping center next to food lion like most I guess. It was easy to find. We ordered the General Tso Chicken for myself, chicken and broccoli for my daughter, and shrimp fried rice for my niece. I liked the crunch and the taste was ok not bad at all. The chicken had a ton of sauce so that was a plus. We all ordered small trays and have enough leftovers for another small meal/snack. The fried rice is yellow with big pieces of onion....it was tasty but def not fried rice. The portion of rice was pretty small so all I have left is chicken. A few pieces of broccoli comes with the general chicken but they were pretty soggy. As for my 3yr olds chicken and broccoli, it was quite tasty! The broccoli had a nice bite to it, great sauce, and well cooked chicken. My niece had two servings of her shrimp fried rice so I assume they did well with that too. Where she lives in Baltimore, this restaraunt is 5 stars! Unfortunately, they were a tad bit too hungry to let me capture images of their food so maybe next time. I think pictures help make the decision to try a new place especially Chinese and there were none under this business. I will try other dishes in the future while looking for a spot that makes killer fried rice in my area. Very polite staff, food was piping hot even after we made it home (over the Gilmerton bridge), and prices were ok. It satisfied my hunger and will be breakfast in the morning. read more

Read the interesting history of how Chinese immigrants adapted to the American tastes back in the 1800s, etc. But for American-ized Chinese, it is one of the best fast food, Chinese-American places I've ever eaten...anywhere in the USA...and that is a LOT of places for my weary well-traveled soul! read more

Closets and best Chinese place to my house. I've found that they will sometimes cater to your request. For example, I've asked for plain fried rice in a party sized plate and they accepted. I was hosting a party and wanted to serve something with rice but I didn't have time to make the rice. The restaurant delivered plain fried rice within 20 mins. Talk about a life saver lol read more
