I had the hot and sour soup which was pretty good and had a great balance of mushrooms, veggies, etc. I also ate the kung pao baby shrimp with plain fried rice, which was pretty good. Compared to other Chinese restaurants, I think this place was average but I would come again especially since it's in a good convenient location. Opened and previously owned by a nice young couple it was a weekly go to. For 15-16 yrs we were greeted with smiles, often the delivery was even made by the owner, and the food was consistently good. I sincerely wish them happiness in their found success in this country. However, The new owner clearly does not care what made this franchise location so successful. The food used to be hot, very generous with freshness, and quality. Sometimes the complimentary almond cookies were so fresh they were slightly tender. Since the change of hands the prices have increased considerably and has not maintained quality. Yet still, We even gave it a second try....even worse than the first. The house special soup which used to be delish, now is polluted weak broth loaded with bok choi and tasted offal. The house special fried rice, was previously loaded with meats and prepared with pride, now - sparse and dry. Our fave hot braised wings, have now been so perverted, they are unrecognizable & meatless. I could not get a single bite without tiny pieces of crushed bone. I could go on, but you get the idea. Sadly what was the product of pride is now the shameless unconcerned churn and burn of barely edible mediocrity. Such a shame, we will resign ourselves to miss the convenience, and value of the old place, and yet never order from here again. read more

They come with an entree, pork fried rice and an egg roll. I had the sweet and sour chicken which was delicious. The sauce comes on the side and was pretty thin (I liked it a lot, the consistency for me was better than other places which have a really thick sauce). The egg rolls were also awesome - filled with lots of meat and veggies with a good crispy outside. The fried rice was nothing special, definitely tasted better with some extra soy sauce added in. I also tried an appetizer of dumplings. You can choose fried or steamed and I went with fried. The dough was tender on the inside and crispy on the bottom. The filling was seasoned well and they came with a tasty dipping sauce with a little kick. Microphone system in this place is awful. They can't hear you at all so they make the wrong order. Then you get home find a hair in it. I love this place for a tasty, healthy, inexpensive takeout meal. They have an enormous menu, but I usually go with the "diet menu" steamed chicken and veggies. Chicken is tender and perfectly steamed and veggies crisp and super fresh. Portions are very generous.?They also have tables for dining in, if you prefer. If you are really looking for a bargain, order one of their party platters. For $24 you'll get enough food to feed a family of 8. The food is ok. While the menu is robust, many of the dishes tate very similar. My wife likes the sweet and sour chicken and Singapore Mai Fun. I like the Curry Shrimp and steamed dumplings, We enjoy the St. Paul sandwhiches too. I live a little over a mile away. Picture hot egg fu young (but your choice of meat, be it shrimp, pork, ham, beef, veggie) with lettuce, pickle, mayo, and all between cold refrigerated sliced white bread. Doesn't sound appealing? You don't even know...you don't even know...it's so good. Especially with a couple packets of hot sauce that they provide. Had some shrimp egg rolls on the side. Fresh, crunchy, and steaming hot They were lacking in shrimp and of flavor, perhaps because I inhaled them and burnt the crap out of my mouth while doing so. So hungry during that time. This China King location is our favorite. The BF decided to stop here and try it one day on a whim since we pass it all the time. The restaurant is clean and the employees are friendly. It's actually a great place to either dine in or carry out. They always provide you with coupons in your oder. We love the location and hours. We can get our fix seven days a week. The food is very good and consistent. We're working our way through the menu. We love the ham fried rice and have now moved to the roasted pork fried rice as our new fave. The Shanghai spring rolls are a must every visit. My brother loves the orange chicken combination plate which comes with pork fried rice and an egg roll. The orange chicken is actually very good. We've also eaten and enjoyed the mongolian pork, fried dumplings and vegetable St. Paul. We've tried the chicken fried rice which we aren't too fond of and the combination appetizer plate which allows you try a variety of appetizers for your snacking pleasure. This way you know which apps to buy and which apps to avoid. The fried shrimp which comes with cocktail sauce and crab sticks were also good. Ordered delivery for a get-together. $41 for five people isn't that bad, in my opinion. I wasn't paying attention to the time, but the food seemed to arrive pretty promptly. Even though I ordered a simple dish (chicken fried rice) it was flavorful. My boyfriend was pleased with his sesame beef, and the order was packed with meat. They supplied us with plenty of sauce packets, gave us fortune cookies, and even threw in a free container of egg drop soup, which everyone agreed was tasty.
