I have been eating at China Hut since the late 90's. As long as you understand that this is just a bare essentials, low frills place that doesn't care about the extra little touches or a fancy atmosphere, it's really not a bad place for quick and relatively inexpensive Chinese food. The quality of the food sometimes varies a little (depending on the cook I assume), but I've never had bad food from here. Sometimes it's just better than others. the people that aren't going to like this place are probably pretty picky. If you're just hungry for some quick and basic Chinese, it's just fine. read more

If I am desperately needing some Chinese food, and I don't feel like going anywhere else, this place would be OK, but it would definitely not be my first choice. The food is very average, nothing too bad or good but very much in the middle. Definitely a good place. I got General Tso chicken as a takeout for supper. The portion was really large and made three meals out of it. I had been sick and had just been craving this for a meal. I was very pleased with my meal and the large portion. I cannot say much else since this was a to go meal. I am pleased with the food and would order from them again. read more

We returned the first wrong order and the replacement was hastily made and not made to their usual standards (no sauce just meat and veggies). This time the manager told me that the websites we've used for years is NOT their website and they are not responsible so he was not going to do anything to make it right. I stopped in tonight as I've been craving Chinese food. It was around 5pm. When I walked in it was quiet no one was sitting in the dining room. Both the man and the lady sitting at the counter were more then friendly. I ordered the beef and broccoli combo. The portion was more then generous and I didn't even wait 10 minutes for it! Pandemic carry out review only: My boss was craving hot and sour soup. So I began search for OPEN Chinese take out nearby. Many were closed or opened later in the afternoon. I found China Hut. I had to download the beyond menu app to order and pay. Was very easy to do. I ordered KungPao chicken with a side of hot and sour soup. Gave me a time for pick up. I drove to the location. There was a note on the door to STOP and call them. Called the number, but before they could answer. An employee cracked the door and asked what I had ordered. I told him and he brought it out. Gloved hands under the bag so I could grab the handle and go. Got it back to the shop in about 15 minutes. Was hot and fresh. I have my new chines lunch take out place!!! Was good! read more

Really cheap Chinese food. The fried rice that comes with the combo appears to be white rice with soy sauce on it, fried. No vegetables at all. The Vegetable Lo Mein was really light on fresh vegetables. The egg foo young sauce was flavorless. Cheap blah food. read more

First time here. Drive by it all of the time. Today I just happened to be craving Chinese so I stopped. I actually looked on yelp for reviews. As normal some love it and some hate it. Well, I'm a part of the later. The fried rice was a color I've never seen. Had absolutely no flavor. I ordered the general tso's chicken. Again, a very odd color. First two bites were nothing but gristle or tendon. Only flavor I got was garlic. There were pea size chunks of garlic all over the chicken. I don't know if that was to disguise tainted meat but it was horrible. Luckily I ordered the crab Rangoon. It was okay. Not enough to bring me back. Plus after spending $15 bucks and leaving hungry. Giving this place 5-stars based on this being an inexpensive, take-out/delivery Chinese restaurant. My favorite is the garlic chicken, but I've tried the mu shu pork, lo mein, fried rice, cashew chicken, curry, etc. and it's all good. Fresh and made-to-order. Basis for a three-star ("less than enthusiastic") rating. Pricing is pretty doggone good; no complaints here on that. Serving sizes are also good. Food taste is only "average". There is so much competition locally for this cuisine, I can't give you any reason why you should pick China Hut over any of the others. I assume they are doing very well, however. As this visit was my first ever, I announced this to the people behind the counter and asked if they had any specials for "first time" customers. The gal pointed me to the part of the menu for "lunch specials"... not exactly what I had in mind. I had been thinking maybe they made a practice of doing something special to enhance the first impression they would make with new customers. She seemed pretty disinclined to engage any further conversation on that topic. Perhaps it was a language issue, but it came across as "eat here or don't; suit yourself, but we don't do anything to make you a long-term regular" and that's okay, too. Like I said... way too many options. I found no reason to go again personally, but let it also be understood that I found no reason to discourage others from eating here, unless you're looking for something exceptional in the taste or customer engagement areas. read more

This place is hit and miss. I ordered the pork lo mein and it was wonderful. It had vegetables and a good amount of meat in it. For the sweet and sour chicken, though...I would have to say horrible as the sauce had a really weird taste and the rice was nothing special. Also, my friend ordered something called the fried crab stick, and after trying a bite, I lost my appetite. Somehow the imitation crab had a very fishy taste and the batter wasn't cooked all the way through. After my experience here, I would come again to get some lo mein, but definitely stay away from anything else. read more

Very disappointed. My order was just brown piles somewhat edible food. Ate very little. They started using mass produced chicken nuggets that are mostly flour. Fried rice was greasy with only a couple of fresh onions so I picked those out. My entree had one, just one broccoli floret. This was lunch time. :'( read more

Had to repeat my order multiple times while the person taking my order was also taking another persons order. When it was time for me to pay for my order I was transferred to another lady. I gave her my card number, and I hear a uh oh. She charged my debt card for the wrong amount. No not a smaller amount, but a much larger amount. I am absolutely furious. I understand that mistakes happen, but when you are charging a person's debt card, you should ALWAYS make sure you are charging the right amount. read more
