Ordered food twice and was not impressed either time. No one hardly even touched the chow main. Orange Chicken was pretty decent though.

Our family ate at China Garden again today to celebrate something good that happened in our lives. If you get to the restaurant before 4 pm, like we did, you get the cheaper lunch prices. The young lady who was our wait-staff was friendly and hard-working. There seemed to be a brisk pace of people there, cycling past the eats, which meant the food was fresh and not sitting around. The wonton didn't taste as bad as usual, the egg rolls were a little burned but still edible, and - today's pleasant surprise - the crab rangoon actually had decent amounts of filling in it. One thing that did bother me today, though, was the apparent rationing of the little rice sushi things in the cold bar. I told a staff member that the sushi was gone, and he said he'd get right to work on the ones for dinner. I thought, "Like, WTH, I'm here NOW, paying to eat at your buffet NOW, not at dinner time." (I think it was about 2:00 at that time, and there were five of us there. Only one member of our party got any sushi at all. The sushi serving tray didn't even measure 8x10) I didn't know rationing buffet sushi against the ravenous lunch-eating hoardes was a thing, now. Which means, if your family adores sushi and wants to have an actual face-stuffing fest, you're going to have to keep driving west until you get to Asian Buffet in Kalispell, where they do "sushi for the masses" right. I'm serious. They have a whole bar just for their sushi, and what appears to be a designated sushi chef. That, folks, is your next best option unless you go north to try your luck in Lethbridge, Canada. Welcome to just another one of the joys of Montana. read more

We've given this place a try twice and both times it was not good. The almond chicken was very dry, the sauce was bland, the chicken chow mein was awful, and the sweet and sour sauce was very scarce on the shrimp. The second time we had the buffet, and it was not good. We could hardly taste the sauces on the chicken and the soup was awful. read more

A shining example of the typical Havre restaurant businesses setting the bar incredibly low. Went in to order take out and was told 5 different beef dishes in a row were unavailable because they didn't have the ingredients. I was also told that I could not order side dishes of rice or vegetables and that I had to purchase full orders of each at $ 8.50 each. The cashier was extremely unaccomadating, blaming ownership on her inability to help the customer because she would get fired. Great customer service (or the lack thereof) comes from the top down. Poor ownership is the hallmark of the pathetic excuse for restaurant business in Havre. When I did get my food I was treated with disdain and disrespect. read more

We used yelp to find this little gem. Had the mixed veggies with tofu. Great assortment of veggies cooked perfectly. Nice size portion. Great service. They have a buffet that had a wide variety of dishes mainly fried. Would eat here again!!! read more

Beware. This business is under new management and the food has changed...for the worse. I commonly ordered moo goo gai pan and pork fried rice. Tonight the moo gai pan sucked and when I bit into the fried rice, I got nothing but a mouthful of salt and/or MSG. Also, I always ordered a side of almonds for my moo goo gai pan. They said they didn't have any, despite the fact there almonds in a dish on the buffet line. The new owners also can't speak a lick of English. Stay away. Sadly Havre lost a decent Chinese restaurant. The culinary void in Havre just got wider. read more

there are only two Chinese restaurants in havre, but hands down this one is the best. I go there a lot since I work in the mall that it's located at. It's quick, easy and the food is great and there is a lot of variety. read more

I have to say there are not to many places to eat in Havre, Mt but I would not recommend this! They are very polite but the food is to salty and the meat is pounded to a pulp. Guess because they have a small population here. I'm sad to have to say but the worse Chinese I've ever had. Perhaps try ordering off the menu! read more

Four stars for Havre, probably three stars anywhere with variety. I recommend ordering off of the menu rather than the buffet, it's generally cheaper and your food is quick and fresh. Try the egg foo young, it's fantastic. Much much better than the other Chinese place in town even though it's owned by the same people. read more

Good Chinese fare in Holiday Village Mall. Buffet is a bargain. Good service. Like many buffets some dishes are not as hot as one might like. read more
