The news recently did a story, a woman who are here saw one of the employees pickup a roadkill dead deer & bring it into the back of the restaurant. Uhh NO WAY would I eat anything out of this kitchen- GOD KNOWS what diseases might have been on that carcass & they WILLINGLY brought roadkill into that restaurant. EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, even the local News 9 did a story on it, everything was gone by time the health dept showed up but My God, that's some backwards 3rd world, disgusting stuff right there. read more

Our go-to Chinese now that China Garden is closed. It's everything you expect from takeout Chinese, and consistently good and fast. Their Lo Mein is fantastic and the house fried rice is great too. read more

The food was pretty good, the ambiance was relaxed and casual . The service left much to be desired. The language barrier made the entire experience difficult. The waitress sighed and rolled her eyes every time we raised our hands. She was clearly annoyed with us. I felt we were disturbing her. read more

I can't believe I ordered two dinner plates and received pint size rices for each entree. These little boxes are absolutely ridiculous. The sauce on the chicken tastes border line like ketchup. I'm a Chinese from California and I've had over a dozen quick Chinese spots, I used to support these guys but not after last night. There are too many other fast food Chinese options on Albemarle Road and this is the last time I will come here. The rice box is about the size of a kids small apple juice. I understanding cutting cost but this down right absurd. Until they realize cutting quality and portions and increasing prices will cause disruption in sales and adjust accordingly I will not be buying food here any longer read more

I recently moved to the area and was looking for great Chinese food and the prices are amazing especially for today economy it's good to know I can get great and affordable takeout, 10/10 would recommend they're not the most talkative people but they always get your order right amazing service and great hole in the wall takeout read more

I just got some chicken from this place and it very dry it tasted so old as if they just warmed it up it was honestly disappointing because I drove 30 mins to one that was closed and then came to this one hoping that their food was going to be delicious but it came out to be disgusting and awful. I won't be coming to this one anymore do better !!!! read more

China Fun - S2. Sesame Chicken - Chinese Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

I've ordered pick up and delivery from China Fun for almost 6 years now. It's almost always good to excellent. Unfortunately, I received a delivery a few nights ago that cost almost $30 for just me and it was so bad, I got sick after eating it. General Tao's and Dumplings. Both dry and over cooked, almost burnt. The rice was completely plain with no flavor at all. I hope if they read this, that they try to make it right or I'm done being loyal. Linda Russo read more

I personally did not like the food. I tried it because I really wanted Chinese food. It wasn't good. I would not go back.

Great food, extremely friendly staff !! Would definitely recommend! Every dish we've had was great. No complaints at ALL. The lady at the door is always so welcoming!! read more

So I ordered from this restaurant several times before and the food was somewhat tasty. My order today though was different. The pork fried rice was VERY dry and the fried chicken wings was hard, dried and old. It was a very disappointing meal which I had to throw in the garbage. I was afraid to eat it read more

Food consistently good without any issues. Good value for the price with large variety of different things to choose from.

Just moved to a new side of town, so naturally we had to find a new go-to Chinese place. And I think we have. Our first visit we ordered some veggie fried rice, crab Rangoon, and egg rolls; which were all great! I've had crab rangoon from a lot of places but these were probably the best; they were crispy, and fried perfectly. This visit we added egg drop soup and the Chinese donuts to the order (pictured) and they were AMAZING! Can't wait to try out more items on the menu! read more

I was a first time visitor; came in and placed a to-go order since my usual place was closed for COVID-19. Ordered scallion chicken and shrimp with lobster sauce, standard food at every asian takeout place. Instead, I received Sesame chicken- I do not like Sesame Chicken, at all. The shrimp with lobster was mixed together, which may be okay for some folks, but not for my diabetic husband who is not supposed to eat rice, especially white rice....he was able to eat less than 1/4 of his meal because all the rest of it had absorbed into the rice. (every other restaurant, the rice is separate) All in all a very very disappointing first time visit. Basically $20 worth of food that was not what we ordered and/or could not eat. Looking for a good chinese takeout place near Mint Hill...this is not the place to start read more

They left an item out of my food and had an attitude as if it was my fault thet prepared my order wrong. I literally had to drive back to get my missing item. read more

I have to admit that the chicken chow mei is really good regardless of their cheap business practices.

Last time I went to China Fun (8/20). Good was terrible. No sauce, no spicy and for vegetables I got 2 small pieces of broccoli. I had the worst egg roll ever. China Fun quality and service had gone way down! I cannot recommend this restaurant anymore. read more

I've been in Charlotte for 6 years and have tried multiple Chinese spots, but China Fun takes the cake. My next visit will be number 4. Here's what I can tell you: The wings are sooooo good, crisp and drenched in sauce, my fav being the honey-hot. The rice isn't filled with hunks of onion and barely browned like other places, perfect shrimp:rice ratio. I've had the beef Lo mein and that was also good. The beef was super tender, noodles cooked well, nice sauce. Don't waste your $ on the lemonade though, it leaves much to be desired. If you want good Chinese, this is it. read more

Got the general tso chicken and rib tips both slapped and was only like 15$ gave em a $20 told em keep the change hard working people dealing with rude customers most of the time. read more

First of all, my review for Chinese food is always going to be more harsh, since I have tried some of the best Chinese food. Plus a Chinese native that traveled to Hong Kong once a year, nothing beats authentic food in HK!!! I placed a delivery order, and it got here within 20 minutes. I have the lunch sha cha shrimp and fried potsticker. The flavor of the shrimp is pretty good, and it's jumbo size shrimp. However the sauce it's bit too thick to my taste. There's nothing to said about the potsticker, just out of the package kind, but the dipping sauce has a bit of sweetness and spicy to it. Lunch combo is $5.65, price not bad at all. Oh and they gave me package sauces that going to last me a month lol... I will order from this place again on a lazy day that I don't want to drive out for food. read more

China Fun - two bowls of food on a table - Chinese Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

Horrific!! Inside is really clean so I had very high hopes, which was quickly squashed when I tried to eat and the meat was not edible. I ordered beef and broccoli and it was not beef and not able to chew it because it was very hard with cartilage. I dont leave reviews ever but this was important to me that someone not make the same mistake I did read more

Google this place before you consider eating here. They just received a very low health rating due to multiple safety violations. Horrible food practices. https://newsmaven.io/charlottealerts/news/china-fun-restaurant-gets-85-50-b-health-score-pQATw1z5fUK9a9flAZFxLg?fbclid=IwAR20XSKIPZZK5obpTpA3WYK-V--OOXVdNgPxXjzywrJjZ82WJcwjm7Nn_e4 read more

One of the most consistent and delicious Chinese spots I've been to in a while. The Sesame Tofu here is amazing, I have ordered it so many times and have never been disappointed. The rice & vegetables are always good too. I'm glad I live close to China Fun because it's quick & easy to visit! read more

China fun is a amazing Chinese American restaurant. I got the sesame chicken and the Singapore chow mai fun. It was very delicious. Best spot in Charlotte NC! read more

Easy ordering, good delivery time, friendly delivery man, and decent prices! All very good signs for a first-time customer! I ordered the fried dumplings and vegetable chow mei fun. Oh. My. God. Those dumplings were the best I've ever had. It's so hard to find good dumplings and these were so delicious! And the Vegetable Chow Mei Fun was very good, especially with the leftover dumpling sauce added to the mix. Very light, very tasty! Will DEFINITELY order again! read more

I have yet to find great Chinese food here though. Especially hot and sour soup - I always have to Doctor it up. I'm a bit of a Chinese food snob too as I worked in a restaurant for 4 years. This wasn't bad though for a cheap, quick meal and their delivery was fast. Wouldn't get the hot and sour soup again - still on the hunt for it on this side of town. All in all an okay first visit. read more

Consistently good food, decent prices, friendly staff and lightning fast delivery! Glad they are right around the corner. Not much of a dine in place but they do have a few tables for eating in. Def recommendation. read more

This is not authentic Chinese food. The fried rice taste like white rice and does not have the traditional egg mixed in. The sweet and sour sauce is bitter and stale. The pork in the egg rolls is bright red grounded meat. The mix of flavors with the vegetables is very off. The only item that was passable was the orange chicken. The second star is just for effort and not being overly salty. read more

They have the best food from the opinion of my whole house of 5 people we order from them a lot and we always end up full and happy we love China Fun it's the only Chinese place we get food from.we give them a definite 5 stars read more

I've been to several chinese restaurants and buffets in the Charlotte area and this is one of the best ones. My family and I have been coming here for years and we all really enjoy the food at this place. We have tried several things on the menu and have never been disappointed. The food here is really good and they can accomodate to any preferences you might have with a certain meal. Definitely a great place to try if you want some good chinese food or want to try something new! read more

Delicious, order was correct, delivery was half the time estimated, food was hot, driver was friendly. Highly recommend this place!

Great food, super fast delivery. Restored my faith in Chinese food. 2 thumbs up. Will definitely recommend

Ordered from China Fun for the first time today. Never again. Hot and Sour soup was horrid. not sure how it's possible to make a soup with no taste at all, but they did it. the soup had meat, mushrooms and a few other things but no flavor at all. Pan fried dumplings weren't even dumplings. they looked just like the potstickers you can get from Costco. They were actually good though, as was the ginger dipping sauce that came with them. I specially ordered from China Fun because I wanted spicy chicken curry. I ordered it to be extra spicy. What I received though was curry without a hint of spice. Ok flavor, but not impressive at all. General tso combo meal fried rice was bland and dry. Chicken sauce wasn't a sweet and spicy sauce. No spice here either. Bypass this place if you are looking for flavorful spicy food. read more

I was super excited I found this place. Food was great and they had a really convenient online ordering system. But, after completely messing up our order, their customer service is horrific. Long story short, they completely left out an order of egg rolls and they messed up our rice order, that we paid extra for. After calling to complain the girl who answered the phone basically left me with, we are busy, too busy to worry about the order we messed up, $40 order, tough! They offered to take the money off my next order. The assumption I am ordering again in future really upset me. So, they never offered to put the money back on my card. Basically told me come to the store to redeem. Add the food was horrible last night. The egg rolls we got were over cooked. I will be going to get my money. Its a small amt but its the principle. Buyer beware with this place. read more

Singapore Mei was Fun!! I was hungry and enjoyed every bit of the Singapore Mei Fun with Chicken and Shrimp. It was medium spicy, but had somewhat red pepper flakes too many. Very tasty indeed and this was my first time in this takeout joint. I always look around for cleanliness and it was adequate. Only the light fans were collecting dust. I did make an interesting observation...where I normally eat, the cooks are asian, but here, they are latino. They did make a fantastic dish. read more

The quality of the food has really declined. This was at one time my go to Chinese takeout. I ordered sweet and sour shrimp...they were burned. The General Tso's Chicken had less sauce than usual. The Shrimp and Broccoli was underwhelming. I just ate the broccoli which was tasty. I will not be ordering from there any time soon. The order was placed via DoorDash. read more

Pretty decent food but I ordered shrimp and broccoli and it was decent just wished it was more sauce in the bowl but overall decent place

Mint Hill doesn't have a huge selection of Chinese restaurants, so I was really wanting to like this restaurant. I've eaten there about 6 times and the food was okay, but somewhat bland. Price was fine, portions were also fine. The worst thing that I found from this restaurant is that every time (but one) my boyfriend's order was wrong when we got it home. DISAPPOINTING. How can you get someone's order wrong 5 out of 6 times?! Anyway, we'll keep searching for a new Chinese takeout in/around Mint Hill. read more

I've ordered delivery here a few times. The food here is just ok. Its average cheap food. But when you don't feel like cooking, why not? I ordered two items and only received one.... After they called me back because they couldn't remember if it was delivery or not. They still didn't get it right... My last 2 attempts at ordering delivery from them have been terrible... Theres there's plenty of other options around. read more
