I do not appreciate being harassed by their employees. I am disabled. I have arthritis, carpal tunnel and neuropathy in my hands. They won't give you a bag to carry takeout food in until you are leaving. I brought my own bag because I cannot carry the soup and stuff while filling my takeout container (which costs more than eating in). I filled my container. As I was closing it an employee told me I had to pay $3 more. She said I could not close my container. Wait, what? I did close my container. She followed me out to the front of the restaurant. Kept telling me the manager said I had to pay more. Did not tell the woman with the kid and overflowed box to pay more. Won't ever go back.

The food is OK. Nothing special. Not much to eat in Rantoul so it was just ok. The part that bothers me about this place is its extremely dirty. The ketchup bottle was disgusting. They should be ashamed of putting that out. You know how you can tell.of a place is clean. Look at the bathroom. And this bathroom was scary.

Tried this place several times and it was possibly the worst Chinese food ever. Greasy and just not good.

I live their green beans! They always get my order right, not to mention it's always hot and ready on time!

My new favorite at China Express is Orange Chicken. Give it a try, you won't regret it!

Greasy food. It made me sick. It did not even taste good. Too bad it is the only Chinese place in town.

Good tasting food. I eat the beef liver with onions. My favorite. Service is very nice. Friend got…read morethe fried chicken, he will eat another day on it. Since our hotel " hot breakfast" was a complete joke, we are back here for breakfast. Awesome again. You stop in Danville, hungry, stop at Gilbert's street cafe.

This spot was jumping this Sunday afternoon. Definitely a popular choice with the locals, and…read morethat's always a good sign! The parking lot was full, but we were able to be sat right away. We were taken to a booth and the seats and table were wet from the quick wipe it had just been given. It wasn't just wet, there were also lots of crumbs that had been left behind. As I looked around, I noticed that the floors were littered with trash and food also. Straw wrappers, napkins and bits of food were present under each and every table. I understand that during a busy rush, the staff probably can't take the time to sweep, but even after the rush nobody bothered to address it. There was a gentleman bussing tables who stayed "on patrol", though. He circled the dining room at regular intervals and made sure that dishes were cleared in a timely manner. I see you, sir! We were greeted right away and our drink orders were taken. That young lady was very kind and upbeat, which was quite welcoming. When she returned with our beverages, she offered to take our orders, but we weren't ready. And just like that, she ditched us! J/K, but kind of for real. A different waitress appeared and took over from there. She was efficient and took good care of us, but in a way, she wasn't as warm. She was no-nonsense and straight to the point. Our food was decent. My husband had The Special, which is a basic breakfast plate (eggs, French toast and bacon), I had the turkey club with fries, and my in-laws both had phily steak sandwiches with fries. The food didn't come out super fast, but that gave us time to settle-in and not feel rushed. It was quite nice and a change from what my husband and I are accustomed to where we live. We had a leisurely meal and caught up with old friends who wandered in and out during our meal. That was another clear sign that this place is a local favorite.
