After a long day, we decided to just grab some takeout and were pleasantly surprised since we only chose this place based on it being conveniently located to our condo. For appetizers, spring rolls were mid, chicken noodle soup was tasty, wonton soup was bland, the chicken wings were well executed and crispy, and the edamame was really good. The chicken lo mein was ok but light on the chicken based on the price paid. Mongolian beef had a great flavor and spice level which was appreciated. During a recent, once in a lifetime, epic snowstorm, this was the only restaurant open for 10 miles / on the entire island. We arrived and we're lucky to grab one of the few open tables as the place was packed. We were pleasantly greeted and quickly seated. The folks here were running their tails off. People were waiting, but people were patient understanding the situation. Between to go orders and the restaurant clientele I would estimate they served 200+ people and under an hour. Granted, we did wait about 30 minutes for entrée, but we're wise enough to get some soup (both the egg drop and the hot and sour were excellent) that was ready. Place was clean some interesting Chinese musical instruments on the wall. It was clear that these folks simply did not expect the type of crowd that arrived and were in an all hands on deck situation. The food was absolutely excellent, particularly the vegetable fried rice, which was amazing and had lots of fresh ingredients. I can't say enough about this restaurant and can't wait to go back when they're in a normal serving situation. Food: I got the egg drop soup, and sweet and sour chicken. Both were amazing! I love that the sauce comes on the side so it doesn't soak into the chicken too much and make it soggy. The chicken was fried really well and the noodles and fried rice were delicious. The egg drop soup was nice and warm and was a very good starter. It tasted like a traditional egg drop soup and was very good. My husband ate the kung pao beef. He said it wasn't the best he ever had but was very good. It had onions, bell peppers, water chestnuts and peanuts in it. Drinks: We got the jasmine hot tea, thai milk tea and pink lemonade. All three drinks were very good. The jasmine and Thai milk teas tasted like what you would expect. The pink lemonade wasn't as "punchy" as most lemonades which was good for our toddler. Best Chinese food we've had since we moved here. Someone on a local Pensacola page recommended this place. It is a bit of a drive, but it was worth it. Best beef Lo Mein I've ever had and very good Chicken Fried rice. The pork egg rolls were a little vinegary, but the wrapper was perfectly crisp and not greasy. Service was prompt and friendly. We needed dinner we could take back to our hotel room, and this was my daughter's choice. Easy to order from their website and pick up. Everything was hot and fresh, and the portions were large. Staff was a bit harried, but I'm sure they're racing and making orders as they are placed. I had Mongolian beef with white rice, my daughter got sweet & sour chicken, and we both had spring rolls. I was extremely disappointed in my recent experience with this restaurant. After a long day at the beach, we decided to have food delivered to our home in Gulf Shores. We had heard good things about this place. The food was awful-and somewhat expensive especially for how it tasted. The wonton soup was very salty, the pork with garlic sauce was absolutely tasteless and was mainly onions and celery. The lo mein had nothing in it but noodles and fried rice was just so so at best. Man after reading the reviews I really wanted to love this place!! We went to the beach and had my eye on Chinese cause it's something easy to get for lots of people. We are here visiting from Charleston, SC and I can't find good Chinese there either. I'm from New England (Rhode island) and they just know Chinese food!!! Anyways, we ordered 4 different lunch combos and extra order of egg rolls. The egg rolls were explained to be spring rolls because egg rolls are Americanized. I later googled and it's true but man we were really wanting egg rolls lol! The spring rolls were bland and Lacked flavor. I ordered the general Tao's shrimp which was pretty good but usually they ask a spicy level and these were borderline too spicy and I like spice! The fried rice was so so bland, and I didn't try the soup. My son had beef lo mein and that was prob good. I didn't try any of the others and forgot to take pics. I also prefer places to make their own sauces (duck, oyster, and spicy mustard) but they had the packets ...I'd rather have less food and the quality be better I guess. read more

The food was pretty good for eating Chinese at the beach. We had general tso's chicken and sesame chicken dinner entrees. I was surprised to get rice and noodles. The meal comes with rice, noodles, soup, and an egg roll. Everything was good except the rice. The rice was just so so. It almost tasted like plain white rice with a tad of soy sauce to make it brown. We had take out, so can't speak for the service. However we ordered a head of time, and it was pretty much ready when I got there. Only had to wait a few minutes for them to get it together. Highly recommend the sesame shrimp. It's on the chefs specialty portion of the menu. The shrimp were huge and succulent along with the 8 amazing crab rangoons I ordered for only $6! I wish I would've snapped a photo of the shrimp as I was in shock the amount I was given along with steamed broccoli. Amazing portion sizes for the price and good fresh made to order. The food did not seem fresh. The noodles (Lo mein) was mushy. The food was room temp, including the hot and sour soup! The egg roll was hot, though it seemed to be over cooked. The host was not friendly at all. While he interacted with everyone else in the restaurant, he seemed to have very little interest in our table. He was just courteous enough. I recall feeling like he was almost "Rosie g"our food on the table by walking by and sliding the plates to us. I was really excited to eat at Thai restaurant since the reviews were so positive! Super fast delivery! I ordered online and the estimated time for delivery was around 45 mins and they were knocking on my hotel door in 20/25. The egg drop soup was amazing just had a dark color to it? Food coloring I am guessing but not sure. The egg rolls were perfect crispy and the filling was fresh and great. The lo mein I order with shrimp and the noodles were a perfect consistency, not too done and not under, the flavor of them had great garlic and soy taste with the mini shrimp it was by far some of the best Chinese I have had in a while. The lunch was the best deal for 6.50 (I added extra lo mein instead of getting rice so that made my total $7.50) then the egg rolls were additional. I have been eating at this restaurant for 15 plus years. It has always been great food and great service. Sometime back the gentleman that owned it evidently sold out. We were told he moved to Atlanta. We decided to go in there and eat today. I dont remember the last time I made a worse decision. My wife and I both ordered General TSO Shrimp as we have almost every time we have been in there. We both ordered the same thing and both ordered hot and sour soup. We waited for a while expecting to get our soup first as it has been for years. Finally they brought 1 plate of what they call General TSO shrimp (still no soup) and two small plates. I said " Just one plate?" The waiter said "Oh you wanted two?" Well it was plain to see there was two of us and we both had ordered. He left and came back with two cups of the most God Awful soup I had ever tried to eat. My wife by this time was trying to eat from the one and only plate we had. She said " This shrimp has way too much breading and a horrible taste. Approximately 8 to 10 minutes later he brought me a plate of the same nasty shrimp. We both ate a couple of the shrimp after peeling this horrid breading from them to find the shrimp still had the tails on them. Fried shrimp that was extremely hot and covered in sauce. How in Gods name are you supposed to get the tail off? Anyway, we ate our egg rolls and the lo mein noodles which we had ordered as a substitute for rice and paid an extra 2.00 each for. Then I went to the register. The lady asked "was everything good"? I said " you want the truth"? EVERYTHING FROM THE SERVICE TO THE FOOD WAS HORRIBLE. I told her everything that I have stated in this review so far including the fact that we were customers of 15 plus years. She then proceeds to apologize and offer me a 20% discount. REALLY? I told here that ANY reputable restaurant would throw that ticket in the garbage and I declined her offer of a 20% discount. I told her " Just let me pay you what the bill says I owe you and I wont be back. I then told her that her response to the issues was what I was waiting for and now I know. 20% off. WOWWWW. Looking to eat Chinese food, but not having take out, we found China Dragon online. The reviews were very strong. We decided to try it and were very happy. Serving sizes were ample. The service was very friendly and efficient. The Mooshu was tasty & cooked perfectly. The Orange chicken was extraordinary as the breading on the chicken was lighter than many other places & there are real strips of orange rind in it. The fried rice was fine. Both the cream cheese wontons and vegetable egg rolls were tasty and worthy of being added to the order. Beer in a bottle is very reasonably priced as is the wine, however the wine quality is limited.
