Came during dinner hours. The waitress was friendly and the food was hot and fresh for $12.99 a person. The place was half-full. Not the cleanest place but I've been to worse. My favorite thing that I love the most is the cheese wontons. Some of the best I've had. No crab, just sugary cream cheese wrapped up in a crispy shell. I used to love the sesame chicken when it was crispy and saucy. Now it is less crisp. I do really like the teriyaki chicken as long as it isn't overcooked. Tonight was good. I usually try a little of several things. Didn't partake in the salad or dessert, aside from an ice cream come. It isn't a large food bar. I enjoy coming here and supporting this friendly owner. We came here at lunch hour on a Sunday, and it was disgusting. I don't know if it's gone down in quality since those other reviews were posted, but the fried rice was dry yet somehow the lo mein noodles were waterlogged. The sweet and sour sauce was thin, watery, and vinegary. The chicken was kinda passable, but one piece tasted absolutely disgusting to the point I nearly spat it out - so definitely roulette there. There's nothing I can recommend here, especially since this was LUNCH HOUR, and it cost us 27 bucks for two people to eat. It is not an authentic Chinese tasting meal. There is a limited supply of choices and never go after lunch because the food will not be fresh. If you want fresh food go during lunch or during dinner. The waitresses are very good at making sure you have what you need and are quite attentive. We and friends eat here regularly. The prices are fine for what you get, and the selection is fine, staff friendly. It does get crowded from time to time, and wait in line since there is not access from both sides. I prefer a Chinese meal with sushi, but this place does not serve it on the buffet. This is where I go to get my Chinese fix. My parents love to eat here too. The buffet is small with limited choices but the things I love to eat here are always good. I usually go at lunch & they have fried fish on the lunch buffet that is great. The nighttime buffet costs more but has additional offerings, such as shrimp (yay). They have a hot buffet & a cold buffet. They also have ice cream you can scoop for yourself. They are located in an old Jack's restaurant building so buffet space & seating is limited due to the size & layout of the building. I sometimes have to wait in line for the buffet itself due to only having access from one side but the line moves quickly. During the times I go to eat or carryout from there the food is usually hot & fresh. They are good about replenishing the food on the buffet timely. I saw on someone else's Yelp review that this is "not authentic tasting Chinese food" but it is the same type fare at almost all of the Chinese buffets I've ever been to. They also add a few things extra like chicken nuggets, fried cheese sticks, & hot wings for people who want something besides Chinese. read more
