As an inexpensive option for lunch, you can't really go wrong. Lots of food and good hot and sour soup.

Service was minimal at best but they just seemed under staffed honestly. And when the server did come by, she was running quickly to and from. The place was not busy when my friends and I were seated. But there was a back room in guessing that had occupants since she was missing in the front seating area. (There was a two person table occupied in the front near us). My party of three over ordered but that was intentional because, any purchase over $100, you get a free lobster and each of us had items we wanted, figured we would doggie bag the leftovers. All in all a great value. The lunch spread had over 7 dishes and we got the free lobster. I was especially happy to see Fried Milk on the menu as an appetizer. They also provide complimentary salted peanuts and pickled radish and carrot slivers. I recommend the snow pea shoots, fried milk, clams with black bean sauce and the Chinese Broccoli with Filet beef. The other dishes like the lobster, noodles and sweet and sour pork were executed well but just not my flavor profile. And with my food allergy, I couldn't try the shrimp with walnuts but it was my friends' birthday so she ordered that for her treat. It looked great! There's complimentary parking if you validate your ticket with a nearby garage, but you need to spend a minimum.

My family and I had dinner at Chef Wongs Bistro on New Years Day and we were very glad we did. The…read morerestaurant was fairly full and the strangest thing almost all the patrons were wearing their wool hats and coats while seated at their tables. We were famished and only focused on what yummy dishes to order. My wife, son and daughter all contributed their suggestions and we ended up ordering pan fried whole flounder, half of the roast chicken with garlic, filet mignon with Chinese broccoli, fried rice with chicken and salted fish and everyone's favorite dish salt & pepper squid. Once we placed our order and were enjoying the roasted peanuts and free spicy cabbage we realized why everyone had their winter coats on, it felt like they had the AC on and it must have been 55° in the restaurant. I told everyone that once the food arrived things would warm up. Each dish that came out of the kitchen was perfectly cooked and was delicious. The salt & pepper squid with it's minced jalapeños kept us warm enough until the half chicken with garlic and filet mignon and Chinese broccoli came out in rapid succession. The star of the show turned out to be the giant sized pan fried flounder which was not only big but quite scrumptious. Unlike the little scrawny flounder that most other restaurants usually served this was a quite large and very meaty and perfectly cooked. The last dish to come out was a very large plate of chicken fried rice with salted fish. If it were not for the lack of heat, I would have given Chef Wong Bistro 5 stars!

One week later, we returned to try the breakfast. For breakfast, we tried (1) combo E with pork chop; it is a good portion and comes with a hot coffee/tea; (2) mixed sauce rice roll, I like that it's cut side ways in half with bigger surface for sauce, but the sauce is a bit sour for me, won't order again; (3) pineapple bun with thick butter, have always wanted to try this somewhere and finally tried it, no regrets but may not order it regularly; (4) hot HK milk tea with half sugar, the hot version tastes a bit astringent (涩) to me. We don't mind coming back to try other dishes. They take cash and Zelle. Some parking spots in rear but can also do street parking in residential area.

I got a recommendation to come here and even though it was a bit farther for me, it was worth the trip. Plus it has parking in the back!! Bonus!! All the food we had was very good. Though they did have a dish or two that didn't seem to be available even though we arrived pretty early for lunch. I'd rather they just adjust the menu than tease us with something we want off the menu and then have to feel pressured to find a substitute while the waitress is waiting for us to order. We had the salt & pepper pork was a popular dish (based off of Yelp reviews, wink wink) and it did not disappoint. We also had the egg shrimp chow fun, soy sauce fried noodles, hot and sour soup and HK ying yang drink. Prices were a bit above normal but quality is good. I'll be back.

It's easily missed if you don't pay attention. There wasn't much pedestrian traffic either. Business is mainly depends on spread of words from returning customers. Right opposite from the cafe is Jmart Chinese grocery store which is convenient. Cafe closes 6 pm daily. Self service. No tips needed. Service: wait staff was very friendly. Food time was quick. Owners stopped by the table and started conversation. It was karaoke time when we walked in. Food: - their milk tea was highly recommended to us. So four of us tried the hot and cold milk tea and hot milk tea / coffee combo. All of them were very rich in flavor and smooth, exactly what a milk tea should be. $4.75 for a 12 oz hot milk tea is reasonable. - French toast with peanut butter: Love the syrup that it came with. It has a distinct refreshing flavor with delighted sweetness. Definitely different from other syrup from other places which is just pure sweetness. Owner told us the syrup was imported from England. Highly recommended! - turnip, fish ball, rice roll: 3 in one bowl. Portion is enough to share - scallion chicken: It was recommended to me also. It was indeed very tender and flavorful. $24 for half a chicken with one quart of soup. Conclusion: will definitely return. Even just stopping by to pick up a flavorful milk tea which is cheaper than a sugary bubble tea.

The other dish I got was a fatty beef with tomato-based noodle soup and an onsen egg. Classic flavors. Can't go wrong with both dishes. Portions are pretty large and I see everyone taking some food to go.

Service from Ken and Alex was attentive, seamless, and effortless throughout. The hot and sour soup with grilled shrimp was rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced with just the right kick. The Malaysian-style red curry with seasonal vegetables, roti, and grilled shrimp, served with brown rice, was equally flavorful and well executed. Prices reflect the quality--and it shows. Highlights included moonlight dumplings, peking duck and tuna tartar. The tartar came deconstructed in a bowl, you had to mix it and then wrap in seaweed. It was filled fresh ingredients, very unique. The dumplings were excellent, super flavorful fillings with light wrappers. The peking duck presentation was great, very crispy skin, overall top quality. Minor setback was we're seated by the speaker, it got a little noisy. Otherwise it was a great meal.

The service was decent, but the food just didn't deliver. At dinner, the salt and pepper pork chops were thin, over-fried, dry, and lacked flavor. The black pepper steak was smothered in sauce, and the beef texture suggested it had been overly tenderized. The BBQ duck was especially disappointing -- it tasted like it had been reheated in the microwave. Overall, the dishes lacked seasoning, depth of flavor, and that smoky wok hei you expect from good Cantonese cooking. Lunch was slightly better, but still inconsistent. The congee itself was good, though the dried squid was so tough it felt like chewing on rubber. The steamed rice rolls with peanut sauce were another letdown; instead of being freshly steamed, the noodles seemed microwaved, making them firm and dry rather than soft and chewy. I also ordered a fish and tofu dish covered in brown sauce, but it was completely bland. I really wanted to like this place, especially after giving it multiple chances, but unfortunately the third time was not the charm.
