China doll just may be the smallest buffet I've ever been to. There's maybe 12 items on the buffet and one of the highlights is chicken wings. No seriously the wings are really good. The broth in the soup is pretty weak, the pork fried rice is good as well as the general Tao's chicken. Beyond that most everything is lacking in flavor. My third time here and still it provided a great service and welcoming atmosphere. My choice when I visit from Canada every time!

Everything tastes the same, fried and super sweet, even though the sauces were very watered down. I didn't get four of my main course items; sweet & sour pork, dry garlic pork ribs, chicken on a stick, and a quart of pork fried rice. I tried to explain I got someone else's soup & chicken fingers, but waitress tried to claim she put my dry ribs in sweet n sour soup- (but id ordered sweet & sour pork & already paid for that- so where's the sweet & sour pork, in your logic?) she next said the fried chicken finger balls were chicken on a stick, they didn't have chicken on a stick anymore, and gave no excuse at all for missing the quart of fried rice. So i got a bunch of nasty fried appetizers with soup instead of my meal with no apologies or choice of acceptable substitutions, just flippant arguments and chinese lady yelling. God forbid they accountably say they don't have something and just take it off the order, apologize and say they made substitutions or refund money they had no right keeping for the slop they serve. They couldn't refund me because I ordered online, so I had to go back online, who just messaged me they would take it up with the restaurant so it didn't happen again. As if I would return. $60 for 5 tiny bags of fried apps (bags a normal chinese restaurant would add complimentary fried crisps to) and a tub of sugar & soy sauce called soup- and a couple shrimp on broccoli that was supposed to be mixed vegetables. Such a rip off! Only reason went here was other 2 places closed and pizza shop had to close early because of propane issues. Canned beans would have been more palatable. NEVER AGAIN! Ordered Cantonese chow mein and fried shrimp. I got the house chow mein and it was awful. I guess they think people don't know the difference. The fried shrimp was a small shrimp like the ones in the house chow mein breaded up like a corn dog, they were awful. Could not eat either one. Overpriced also. read more

The broth in the wonton soup was water and the wontons had no chicken in it at all and the crab ringtones had no crab in it

Maybe the worst Chinese I have ever had. They even messed up the rice. I have never had Chinese before so bad I couldn't eat it and had to throw it out until I tried the China Doll. Just moved to Massena from Albany area and can't find a decent Chinese resturant. read more

Went here for lunch. My boyfriend and I had to wait a while for the waitress to get to our table despite only a couple of people in the restaurant at the time. When she got there, she asked us for our drink orders and if we wanted soup. Neither of us wanted soup, so we went up to the "buffet". There is a VERY limited option for food, and what we got had obviously been sitting out for quite a while. When we got back to the table, there was soup, but no drinks. Our waitress was no where to be found. We quickly choked down the small plates that we had got, and decided to leave. I went out to the car while my boyfriend waited around for the waitress to come out from the back. He had to wait quite a while. So, bad limited food, soup we didn't want, no drinks, and a disapearing waitress. We won't go back. If you want a buffet, go to A#1, and if you want GOOD Chinese, go to East Wok. read more

Nice friendly place, menu or limited buffet available. Have never ordered off menu, but buffet has been consistently good although quite limited. For an inexpensive meal in downtown Massena it can't be beat. Very popular with local community read more

I decided to take a chance on this place because it seemed that while the buffet may be bad, delivery could be better. It was delivered in about 20 minutes. Chicken Lo Mein should be labeled just Lo Mein, there were 4 pieces of chicken in the pint that I ordered. It was bland and very oily, in fact everything was very oily. I asked if they had rangoons and the girl said yes. What I received was a flat, over fried pocket of oil and too sweet cream cheese.
