Have driven by this place many times before and never desired to go there. Was going to be driving through this area so I called in an order and gave them a try. The food was fresh and hot. The place was very clean and the people there were very friendly. I'm going back again. read more

I thought I'd reviewed China City, as it's been a regular choice for takeout for us for years. We're creatures of habit, and I always get the vegetable fried rice, and my husband always gets chicken fingers and pork fried rice. Maybe someday we'll get more adventurous, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it, amiright? This past summer, we had my parents over for a "pandemic picnic on the patio" and ordered from China City. Well, they were HOOKED and order takeout all the time now. We all agreed that they have the very best fried rice in the whole area, and my husband & parents also say the chicken fingers are fantastic (big pieces, crunchy batter perfection). The hot and sour seafood soup is a nice vegetable soup with a little bit of seafood nothing like it used to be and overpriced

Past by CC several times. One day, we finally stopped to place an order and we are happy we did! The best Chinese food around. We love the chicken and shrimp dishes and the veggies are very fresh. My husband loves the spare ribs w/the bone and I love the fried shrimp & egg rolls. Great variety and the food is cooked to order. Lastly, the service is great!! read more

Was out yonder in the middle of nowhere had the itch for that China man and this came up as a legit spot. Tried some of the items here with some egg rows and wontons soup. The ribs aren't bad as well. Overall everything was good for a take out joint , not the best place I ever had but it's doable if you need some Chinese in the area. read more

Best. Broccoli. Ever. Every dish they serve with broccoli is always yummy. You can tell they never use frozen broccoli. Always fresh.

The first thing that I loved about this place was the cleanliness. They have an open kitchen you can see into, and it was immaculate. I was very impressed by this. Most importantly, the food was stellar. We ordered some pretty standard fan favorites, but all of them were done very well. Friendly, fast service. This is your "fast food Chinese" type place, but the meals I've had were quality. I really enjoy the dumplings. The general's chicken is solid (could be a little "spicier"). Location is great right on 190 and meals are always ready when I arrive. Staff is friendly and remember you from past visits. Will return for a fast Chinese food fix. read more

I just realized I grab food to go once every other week and have never typed up a review. Love this place. Very deceiving from the outside, but the food is delish! The veggies are fresh, food is always hot, and the service is fast & friendly..can't go wrong! My sister was in town last week and I was grabbing my normal broccoli and garlic sauce. She decided last min she wanted to order the chicken lo mein to go. She loved it! She normally never finishes her dish, but she ate it up. They cook in 100% vegetable oil. I have never eaten inside, but they do have indoor seating. Prices are very reasonable. Sad part is they only do take out or dine in...no delivery. :( read more

Great food great prices friendly people. Perfect. The menu is large. The lunch special is only $6.25 and comes with soup. The hot and sour soup was way more than expected full of differences types of mushrooms and tofu. I got hot and spicy chicken with white rice and it was filling and more than I expected. read more

Absolute hidden gem. I wouldn't eat at the restaurant (hot and small), but this is the best Chinese takeout we've found anywhere near Enfield. The food is always piping hot, the staff is friendly and accurate with orders, the selection is great, and the cuisine is excellent. We've tried over half the menu and have never been disappointed. I live close to China City so I'm there multiple times a week. Over the years I've gotten close with the family that owns it. Personally I'm offended by the poor reviews I've seen on here since I love the restaurant itself as well as the food and the staff. As far as saying the place is unclean is just untrue, They keep their restaurant clean and their food is always hot and fresh. I've been going there since it opened and I've NEVER had a bad dish. Anyone who goes to multiple Chinese restaurants knows that General Tao's varies between restaurants and sometimes even batches of the dish. Theirs isn't terribly spicy but it has the right amount of kick for me personally. While I've never enjoyed yellow rice I devour their pork fried rice every time I get it. Their Lo Mien is fantastic as well and I'd recommend any of their chicken dishes, as I've tried them all. All in all the family that owns China City is wonderful, the provide great food with fast service. The in- restaurant dining is great, there isn't too much space but it's cozy and a great place to relax and enjoy some delicious food. read more

Avoid - We had not been to this place in about 3 years. It was OK then, but after seeing a few good reviews, we decided to try it again. This is a pretty scary, filthy place, especially the bathroom. The food was stale and of very poor quality. Everything I had tasted like it had been sitting around for 3 days, especially the pork fried rice. I hope we don't get sick. read more
