Ordered pint of shrimp fried rice and disappointed there was very little of the shrimp. Wouldn't order that next time.

I have not gone to this place in years. It's a small place in a strip mall but the food is excellent. They are not cheap at all with what you order.i got the sesame beef and it's packed with me. I don't mind the broccoli. But don't jip me. The prices are very reasonable and you don't have to wait long when you play an order.

I had high expectation but was very disappointed. Pork fried rice did not taste fresh and ribs had a rancid flavor.

According to my previous Yelp review, they were quick, the food was hot, and I especially enjoyed the Chicken Cashew. This time I ordered the Chicken Cashew again and decided to try the House Special Lo Mein (small), which included shrimp, chicken, and pork. The total came to $23 with tax. The woman at the counter said it would be ready in 5 to 10 minutes, and about six minutes later I was walking out the door with two bags of food. Five minutes later at my hotel, I opened the containers and found everything was still piping hot and quite tasty. The Chicken Cashew came in a relatively light sauce with diced zucchini and wasn't overly salty. The House Special Lo Mein was also very good and surprisingly generous for a small order. The meal included a small container of white rice and two fortune cookies. Kam Luang Chinese Kitchen has a few tables, but it's primarily a takeout restaurant. In fairness, the dining area looks a little tired and could use a facelift, but the food has been consistently good, the service is friendly and efficient, and the prices are reasonable. Overall, another solid experience. Four stars, and I'd happily return.

The food offers great value for the price, especially because the portions are very generous. Sometimes ordering just three dishes is enough to last for two days. It's truly worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially from the perspective of someone who has eaten Chinese food all their life. They are very flexible at the customers can your choice . The sauce had just enough numbing warmth without overpowering the dish, and every bite was incredibly satisfying. The texture combination of silky wrappers and bold sauce made it an unforgettable starter. Beyond the appetizer, the restaurant offered a warm atmosphere and attentive service that made the dining experience even better. The presentation was thoughtful, portions were generous, and the flavors tasted authentic and carefully prepared. If you enjoy dishes with a little spice and a lot of flavor, the wontons in chili oil are absolutely worth ordering. I would definitely come back just for them.

Service was brusque and certainly more efficient in Chinese; my English was basically slower by a factor of at least 3. And yes, they are spicy, so not a place I enjoyed so much but others in the group liked spicy so they were good. Large square hot pots split into two soups if you wanted with a single clear broth in the center circle in case you needed to cook something not as spicy. A few different broth choices; some at an extra cost (like the pickled mustard + intestine). Meats, seafood, some fried dishes, veggies and noodles all available. Sauces much more limited than what I'm used to elsewhere, and the soy sauce is just labeled as a "special sauce". Big tank of sesame oil, though, that seems to be used a lot by the folks who frequent this particular style of hotpot, so it makes sense. Special dishes like the green pepper-covered beef are great for those who like spice. Meatballs and house made shrimp balls were ok. The noodle I asked how long it'd take to cook, and they basically told me to test like I would with spaghetti- take a piece, break it open and see if it's fully cooked. No sense of time or anything extra in the way of service. Overall too spicy and oily for me, but the lamb was good quality and the ice jelly dessert was an interesting mix of clear jelly, sour plum-like juice and some dessert haw flakes and spices. Not very sweet. Water pitcher and other service items (napkins, chopsticks) were provided initially but for any refills or additional plates, chopsticks, etc. you had to call waitstaff over. Didn't change plates or anything for us. They do take credit cards. Clean and large space, while I'd expected more ventilation, didn't walk out feeling overwhelmed with aromas so something was going for it. Seats were comfortable and they didn't rush us out.

China Moon has always been a very good go-to option for good takeout. It's small/medium in size. There used to be a couple tables for dine-in but I don't see them anymore. Perhaps that's a COVID change. The counter employee's have always been friendly and quick to take my order. Food is also prepared pretty quickly which makes it a good option if you decide to walk in and order as opposed to call in advance then picking it up. I personally wouldn't consider it traditional in flavor. There are traditional Chinese options but like most neighborhood Chinese takeout, the food has taken on an American flare. That doesn't mean it's bad. I've been to traditional Chinese places and the same dishes taste decidedly different. China Moon offers very good neighborhood takeout. A few dishes I consistently order & like there are: Chicken Chow Mein Chow Mei Fun Beef & Broccoli Beef & Garlic Sauce Rib Tips (so yummy) General's chicken Chicken wings (really good if made fresh!) I like China Moon and as long as you're not walking in expecting Michelin Star food, I really can't imagine anyone hating it. They get the JJ Thumbs Up!
