the outside of a restaurant at night

Was in town for business and wanted some fried rice and a couple egg rolls. Walked in to a one man show who was really consumed with his cellphone. Placed my order and after about 20 mins walked back in to see if it was ready and the employee / cook was on his cellphone! Wow maybe he was checking for online orders. After he finished putting together my order, he handed it to me and turned and walked back to his cellphone! They have boxes cut open with Duck Sauce, Soy Sauce with a bowl of plastic forks (not individually wrapped) and 1 pair of chop sticks (not individually wrapped). Hmmmm I'll pass considering we are in the middle of a pandemic not sure I want to take a chance wi th any of those items. The food was decent but lacked flavor and seasoning. Maybe I was expecting too much.

I'm unsure whether or not they Even deserve my 2 star rating. Those pictures are of this restaurants "puupuu platter" or whatever it's called. It had 4 chicken wings, 1was undercooked and the other 3 petrified. 2 'nasty, greasy overly salty pieces of shrimp toast.' there were 2 pieces of fantail shrimp, they were.... Beyond over-fried, they were literally petrified. The shrimp inside several layers a very greasy, slightly nasty tempura or beer-batter. Truthfully, I honestly couldn't tell. The shrimp itself could have bounced because they were NOT edible. Egg rolls as usual were tasteless and so greasy that squeezing them made oils drip down my fingers. The vegetables spring roll is everything that they're egg rolls aren't. Finally there were crab Rangoons (the 3 that came with the appetizers & I ordered another order:) and teriyaki beef. One piece of the beef was tender and the other piece was worse than chewing leather. The entirity of crab rangoons were so fried that where the wonton skins touched themselves cut up my gums while I tried to chew it. Finally I had to stop trying to eat them. I broke all of the hard, inedible pieces choosing to just eat the center which defeats the purpose. I haven't tried my vegetables in garlic sauce. It smelled good. This appears to be the only place in our area that delivers besides pizza. They're hot and sour soup was my favorite. I suggest that everyone stay away from many of their appetizers. What a waste of the $30 that I spent, especially since all most all went into the garbage

Don't expect the world's best anything - you are picking up freshly-cooked food defensively - anything you get here will be better than the gas station taquitos or the Arby's roast beef sandwich binge you will regret in 30 minutes. But to be clear, it's not going to be particularly great. Something about the time of day that I pass by through this area gets me so excited to toss in a pickup order just to see what I get. The Singapore-style Mei Fun is reliable. Get it plain without the Singapore curry spice if you're more suspicious. lol. Anything like String Beans with Garlic, or Beef with Broccoli, is going to be perfectly acceptable for a road warrior like you. The location, consistency, and ease of triangulation with regards to ordering over the phone (or having your shotgun passenger order) about 10 minutes before you reach this Hwy exit merits a solid 4-star review. The food is 3-star ish, but the mere existence of this place warrants a bonus "Oasis" star.

Between 3.5-4.0…read more This restaurant is perfectly located across from the Stranahan Theater and we met here for a pre-concert dinner. It's in a strip mall but the inside ambiance is rather cozy. They do not serve alcohol, in case that matters. They do serve complimentary tea though. In ordering entrees, there is a soup included with no additional charge. We ordered two chicken rice soups and a chicken noodle soup. One person wanted the vegetable soup but it wasn't available. My chicken rice soup was predominantly rice with maybe three bits of chicken and little soup. The two others in our party seemed to enjoy their soup. For entrees, one ordered Mu Shu Chicken, another the Sweet & Sour Chicken and I originally ordered Chicken with Asparagus but was later told they didn't have asparagus so I opted for Chicken with Peapods. I have included photos of our entrees below. For two of us, the entrees were barely warm but the Mu Shu Chicken entree was reportedly hot. For some reason, the service was rather slow even though the restaurant wasn't crowded. Our young server tried hard and seemed to be hurrying to each of the few tables. Overall, it seemed that the restaurant had a lot of carryout orders and the customers dining in did not appear to receive priority treatment. The food once served was decent quality- though two entrees weren't hot enough- not that we would send them back. I'm sure leftovers will taste better once fully heated. I would give this restaurant another chance. It seemed to perhaps be an off night. The quality of food was fresh.

You can also from grubhub but only a portion of the menu is on there. I liked that you can order single egg fuh hung without making it a whole meal. I got a single chicken egg fun hung, general tso plate, and chicken n vegetables plate. The plates come with fried rice and egg roll for about $16. Pick up is at the front of the restaurant and easy peasy. No credit card fee and the order was accurate. Check out the packaging. Very nice n neat and fit in one bag. I was looking for a cardboard box with a bunch of those white boxes most Chinese spots have. General tso had really good flavor with plenty of sauce. Maybe mild spicy. Fried rice was yummy with no dreaded peas in it. I hate peas. My sweetie said his chicken n veggies tasted great. Price was right and had leftovers that tasted good the next day. I found me a new chinese spot in town. Check it out
