I am unsure what they're doing with meat in Chinese restaurants, but this one and one other Chinese restaruant, use meat that is nearly inedible. It is fat and some kind of breading or filler; I mean not good. I'm normally quite flexible about Chinese food quality, but this is so far below standard, that we will not be returning. read more

Worst Chinese food I've ever had! I have no idea who rated this food 4 stars! I ordered House Special Fried Rice, Chicken and garlic sauce, Beef with vegetables, egg rolls, wonton soup, and hot and sour soup. 1) Everything was flavorless except the hot and sour soup. That tasted like corn starch. The fried rice was O.K. 2) Almost $60 in food and they would not give me a sweet and sour sauce for the egg rolls. Very good food. I ordered the shzesuan(sp?) chicken and had just the right amount of spice. The hot and sour soup was kinda watery, but tasted much better the next day. Had to run to Food Lion on Labor Day and noticed this place. I don't normally go to Food Lion, but the weather was bad and I just needed a couple of things. I grabbed a menu and me and fiance decided to give it a try. I called them up and the lady on the phone, while someone hard to understand, was nice and not pushy. I ordered a Chef Special Orange Beef and Combination Platter General Tso's Chicken. Just standard Chinese takeout fare. I did substitute lo mein for the fried rice in the combo platter. I arrived there in about 10 minutes and they were just finishing up. If you spend more than $15 you get an order of crab rangoon so that was nice. They were nice and I paid and left with no issues. I arrived home and unpacked the containers and it was nice to have a dry bag for a change. I often order from another place in town and stuff leaks out of the containers all the way to the house. The food turned out to be great. I'm not sure what the issue was with the first review, but our food was just fantastic. The orange beef was tender and had a very good orange flavor. The vegetables were also sauteed nicely. The General Tso's chicken was also very good and the lo mein was just fantastic. My egg roll was hot and crispy while still being soft on the inside to me that is perfect. Also the free crab rangoon was really good. All in all a really nice Chinese takeout place. Had an appointment at the DMV so dropped down here for lunch with a friend. This place is comparable to regular Chinese restaurants all around New York City. We ordered 2 chicken entrees and here's the worst part, Whatever was in the dish it definitely was NOT Chicken. It was some thin white slimy meat. And it did not feel like velvet chicken either. Like everyone else has said, this place has absolutely the best Chinese food. Best I've ever had. Like seriously, you could take their food, put it on a plate at PFChangs and no one would notice. I nearly always get Sesame Chicken (C11 under the lunch menu), which comes with fried rice and an egg role. Simply amazing. Their lo mein and General Tsos is also fantastic. Went here for the first time a few days ago. The food was great! The prices were also very reasonable. My wife and I both got combination plates, comes with pork or chicken fried rice and an egg roll, as well as a plate of lo mein for our daughter. It only cost us $19 and some change, excluding tip. A huge disappointment and the worst Chinese dish I have ever eaten! There are 4 Chinese restaurants in town and this is the one we had never tried. We ordered 4 things, Chicken and Broccoli, Beef Chop Suey, Shrimp fired rice and Egg drop soup. Chicken and Broccoli- was boring, no flavor. My son usually inhales a whole order from other restaurants he barely touched this. The broccoli was ok but he said the chicken had no flavor and was tough. The sauce was flavorless also. 2 out of 10. Shrimp fried rice- Average, again bland. a decent number of shrimp. It's obvious they use the cheapest generic rice not real Chinese jasmine rice. This was not terrible just bland. 5 of 10. Egg drop soup- Again boring and without flavor. Needed salt. The fried noodles were quite good. 5 of 10. Beef chop suey-This was without any question or doubt the worst Chinese dish I have ever eaten. I was the one who ordered it and it was tasteless crap. The beef(Was it beef?) was so mushy it was more suitable for nursing home patients. I could not eat it! The vegetables were way over cooked. I have lived in Tennessee for over 10 years. I have tried multiple Chinese takeout places and this one is my absolute favorite. They do their crab ragoon differently than other places but, it is a must have. Fried dumplings are a must have (I did on 1 occasion find a concerning amount of hair in them but, 1/25 isn't bad). they're nice folks and the place is clean but the food ain't cutting it., went in a month ago got the Happy Family , trying to go for something a little nicer on the menu, got it home every piece was almost uneatable , awful taste , bland , EVERY piece of beef was so stringy i could not swallow it , I'm not sure what I was actually eating , I don't know if everything came in a frozen bag from Japan , but it looks like the cooking strategy is to take some cheap barely edible food and pour a piping hot good tasting sauce on it, and hope nobody notices , and make a long dollar , but believe me , your stomach will let you know the deal before you finish, Should have been one and done , but I gave these guys a second chance tonite because subway was busy , went in got the sesame chicken , knowing theres no way you can mess that one up, but it was slimy breaded funk with rice with big onions in it, with that same burning hot sauce on it that made my tongue numb, so I'm done .... the other review with 5 stars on here is the owner that yelp asks not to post , but as I saw her reviews slamming other places that have been here for years ,I thought I would post this time and let them know they need to start serving something that taste like food and I would suggest that she may want to try her own food , gave them the benefit of the doubt last time , but should have gone back and got my money back , tonight I made it about half way through it before I tossed it realizing the first time wasn't a fluke....wont get anymore of my money .... adios read more
